Hung up by chains, beaten and bruised. I had no idea that they had such weapons that could work against demons and probably angels. The room I was in was musty and decrepit. A solid steel door was in front of me and the room was well lit by one fluorescent light bar fixed to the ceiling.

The floor was a finished stone surface, that looked recently cleaned in a hurry. A chair and metal table where the only furniture in the besides the chains. I heard footsteps coming toward the door, echoing through the hallways outside, slow and heavy footsteps of a sort of monster.

Breathing heavily, I looked up toward the door, and it swung open. A man dressed in a neat suit came in and smirked. His red eyes, slicked back hair and looks that could turned women's heads was looking at me straight in the eye.

"You are a tough one," he spoke in a smooth and deep tone. "These tools have killed many demons, and it seemed they had only bruised you. Well, it's safe to assume that you aren't human since my men only lightly tapped you, and they didn't kill you. You bruised up just before these tools touched. Your skin is admittedly tough, so they had some fun as well as payback for what you had done to two of them."

He came closer to me and crouched beside me; he grabbed my hair and raised my face to look at his. I struggled to breathe in that position. His look darkened and he threw down my head.

"Who are you?" he asked in the same tone.

"…" I remained silent.

"You are still quiet. Well, then since you have gone through so much trouble to be here, I will give you the chance to ask me one question."

"I am looking for a girl … who was kidnapped hours ago. Where did you take her?"

"There are many girls being kidnapped every hour. I don't know who you are looking for."

"Your man kidnapped her at the Entertainment sector. You may be acting dumb, but I can see through that fucking smug face of yours. Ripping your face off will be my delight, you good for nothing scared pussy, even a pussy has more use than your stupid ass."

His smirk disappeared, replaced by an agitated facial expression. His ego was bigger than I thought but it worked out in my favour. I got him angry enough to try and attack me, I used the little strength I had in me to break out of the chains and grab his arm and pull him close to me to headbutt him, but he didn't budge, he was stronger than me.

"Tsk, tsk, tsk. I thought you were smarter than this, Captain." He said disappointed.

With his free arm he gut-shot me so hard that I spat blood out my mouth. He sighed and stood up, fixed his hair and dusted his suit. "Since you want to see her so badly, I will do as you ask." He told me.

By the door he spoke to two other men wearing gloves that had hidden knuckle dusters in them. One of them punched me in the face and I was knocked out.

I ended in a room with no light, no entrance and not ventilation. I could barely see, until I saw orange glowing light which allowed me to see but just barely. I looked around and saw a woman spread out on the floor wearing their underwear and they clothes were spread out across the floor.

Minutes later it became harder to breathe, and it was getting hotter and the orange light grew even brighter than before. I realised that those were heating bars getting hotter and hotter as time passed.

"No, no, no! I did everything you wanted me to! What do you want from me!" the woman shouted.

I looked back at her, and she was near a corner and at the top of the corner was a camera. She looked very familiar, and I moved closer to her. "Marie!" I called out her name, and she turned around to face me. She was covered dirt and sweat from being in this hot box for hours.

"Captain, you came! Where are the others?" she uttered gladly.

"Back at base," I told her and her face went grim.

"Wait, you mean to tell me we are alone?"

I simply nodded to answer her question. "Fuck! What are we going to do now?"

"Is there a way we can escape from this room? Any faults or weaknesses in this room?"

"No. None at all. Why did you come alone?"

"I told them to stay behind to continue with everything else to be done during the mission. We can't have everyone all here at once,"

"You know what fuck it, what are we gonna do about escaping. You know I just noticed that you look like shit, but my mind had fogged up by this heat to even notice,"

Afterwards we tried finding anything that could help us escape the hot box. Though all of this could have been avoided I had to do this because there was a slim chance of it happening if I didn't. "Are you monologuing Body?" my Mind asked.

"Yes. Is it a problem Mind?"

"No, not at all. However, I don't believe that she will survive this heat as it gradually rises."

"My body tends to be cooler than hers even in this extreme heat. So, I shall cool her off."

"For how long will you keep it up. Won't your body temperature raise eventually, only impeding the inevitable from happening Body?"

"I have but only a limited to escape."

Marie collapsed on the ground due to the high temperature, and I had to lay my body on top of her to cool her off. The heat kept intensifying, and I could feel it also that I would not survive any longer much less than the one below me. I tapped my finger rapidly on the floor and it felt hollow underneath.

With the little time we had I took the chance to punch the floor with the littlest strength I had left, and it broke under the pressure of my fist. Marie and I fell through the floor deep into a cavern. I couldn't sprout out my wings for I was too weak from the and we fell into water source down below.

In the cold body -of which at the same time was refreshing-, I had to swim out of it as the drastic change in temperature could cause internal body issues, that I couldn't risk for Marie who couldn't keep conscious.

My body quickly adapted to the change in temperature and steam rose from my skin, after getting out of the water with Marie and our clothes. My body heat was enough to steadily warm her and our clothes.
