The hallway trembled violently, an overwhelming pressure, like all of sudden a car placed on your chest engulfed the remaining slaves.
Then, the hallway itself, as if hit by the strongest of earthquakes began shaking in all directions. The mind blown slaves returned to their senses, but it was too late to even think to resist.
They were like pebbles in a bowl as someone shook that bowl violently, smashing against the walls, ceiling, against each other, loosened bricks and the ground, repeatedly.
"Distribute body weight ahead!"
"Try to hold onto walls and stay calm please!"
Both Shen and Kael shouted at the same time, already adjusting their Arcana enhanced legs to use the clashing points as launching pads for a speed boost, sharply avoiding other flying slaves and grabbing them through their rags, helping them gain balance aswell.
Sasha clenched tight to Kael's back as he moved blindingly fast all around the hallway, holding back the urge to puke as she noticed all six of Shen's clones rushing towards the yawning Alyndra.
"I will create the distraction… With your skill, one touch is enough, right? Even for him?" Shen asked Kael with a thoughtful look. He still didn't know specifics of Kael's skill.
"Yes, after one physical touch of the [Ember embracing flames], it's target keeps burning until all Arcana vanishes. It burns infinitely until since the flames power themselves on the target's Arcana." Kael explained patiently, Shen's pupils dilating with the more he listened.
If something could kill an overload like Alyndra, it was this skill.
In just a few seconds, everyone was managing to avoid damage, using the strategy given by Shen and Kael.
"Sticky net!" The beautiful gray haired girl declared instantly at gaining balance before a pink liquid blasted out of her cherry lips, covering the center part of the ground, taking a shape of a net.
Next second, every slave had gotten on the net, gaining balance as the place still shook hard.
All of Shen's clones had just closed in to Alyndra, and before they could even get in the one meter radius, they blasted off like specs of dust at an exhale, hitting the walls like bullets.
Alyndra still was sitting in the same position leisurely, his eyes locked on Kael, not even paying the clones another glance.
Every slave's face darkened, their happiness at the recent victory and determination shaken considerably. Shen was the strongest in the group.
"Not bad." Alyndra's low chuckle rang across the narrow hallway, the purple light from his hand exploded blindingly across the every corner of the narrow hallway,
"But, we have barely started… Unique Skill: Soldiers of heaven." His mutter echoed in everybody's ear as the violent earthquakes stopped.
Violent purple ripples echoed in the space as it began shattering like glass.
Next second, it stopped. Suddenly, everyone's body was shaking without them realising, sweat covering their backs. Something was standing behind them… Something tall and wide. The realisation alone made some puke without even turning back.
The brave turned, their faces immediately paling as they only saw a kneecap connected to thick thigh that had matte black skin, like of black ink.
As their shaking eyes slowly looked up with trembling heads, a ferocious, demonic and majestic human was standing. But it's size and skin told it wasn't a human. The knowledgeable ones instantly realised what it was… A titan. An A rank Oni.
Some wielded Axes, some massive cubs, while some even huge rocks, all having completely human faces with a gut wrenching uncanny touch.
They were five times or more the size of everyone, completely blocking all lights of lanterns as their top of heads clashed with the ceiling. Kael repeatedly shook his head as the empty eyes of one kept staring at him without any emotions.
When he looked around, his lips curled upwards in the most bitter expression, his fists clenched tight. There were more than seventy giants. A rank Onis. Kael had the average strength of a C class while Shen upper C.
Humans-C rank and Onis-C already had a massive difference. A C-rank Oni required more than six C-rank heroes to work together. He had never faced anything above a B-rank in his life, and that Oni managed to wipe out all his team.
"I need to use that skill…" He made up his mind, biting his lower lip with a painful look.
