The last Vampire with the Hero summoner system: I get 5x their powers

Chapter 58: I wish

I felt a deep shudder down my spine. I had actually believed in something similar for a very long time in my past life… Maybe the only thing that stopped me from becoming a genocidal maniac, too, was the lack of power…

Kael let go of Alyndra's collar, his eyes growing thoughtful, "…I joined the hero organization because I wanted to be as admired as the heroes I admired. Everyone admired them. And that was my reason for fighting for a long time... I can't deny what you say, but."

He smiled proudly, "It's different now. I abandoned all admiration when I ended up here. This is what makes us human, Alyndra, growth." Kael replied in a rather gentle tone compared to his aggression before.

"That does make humans human. But growth isn't always good; actually, most times, it's not for the common folk, as they have no control over it. That's why I am the way I am." He shook his head, rubbing his temple.

Before Kael could reply, Alyndra added expressionlessly, "About time I finish this." he smiled as Kael's pupils dilated.

Alyndra's body spun as his foot traveled to Kael's jaw at blinding speeds, kicking it with the thick armored boot he wore as tens of teeth instantly went flying, followed by Kael himself, who blew like a cannonball, tearing through multiple walls.

My jaw clenched as the next moment, Alyndra was in front of Alya, who was barely managing to stand.

I bit my lip, using [Dash] immediately, I pushed her away from the diamond long sword intended to cut her in half.

Shwing! Tham!

Ahh, fuck!! I smashed my head against the ground I lay upon, trying to stay conscious as the burning pain overwhelmed all my senses. My leg, all below the upper thigh, had disappeared, lying a meter away from me.

"Luci!" Alya screamed, unable to stand from the ground I had thrown her to as she pushed her blood towards Alyndra, which was blocked perfectly by Alyndra's gravity, deflecting it back to pierce her shoulder.

Her head lowered as she gritted her teeth. She desperately started to crawl towards me as tears flowed through her eyes.

My vision blurred as I forced my body to crawl towards her, my leg leaving a bloody trail.

Unable to move, I extended my arm towards hers, trying to grab her hand. She gritted her teeth as she ignored her bleeding shoulder, pushing her hand towards me.

After two tries, I managed to feel the soft warmth of her hand again, grabbing it tightly. I am sorry… I had said I would change the future Alyndra had seen, but my plan relied on Subaru… At this rate, he will kill everybody since Subaru's power will run out, and then he can just take me.

Alyndra's face grew nostalgic for a moment as he looked at us before it darkened as he directly stomped my hand with his armored golden boot, splitting me from Alya's warmth as her eyes flared with anger.

I glared at him as the sound of my bones shattering into pieces echoed in my ears.

Alyndra shook his head, "The most "kindest", "generous" group of people I knew, shamed someone to suicide. And, not just a stranger— she was someone who had saved them thousands of times before.

Went through pain, fought losing battles, trained like her life depended on it, all with the thought that her actions are keeping them safe."

He closed his eyes, "All because someone guided the direction of their emotions and built a strong conviction towards a belief. They did something so evil while thinking of themselves as kind…

Charisma, that's all it takes to transform that human kindness and positive growth into something so disgusting. That is the fragility of a human with the ability to feel emotions."

He scoffed disdainfully, rubbing his foot even harshly on my hand, which was already a bleeding mess of bone powder.

Pain wasn't affecting me any longer. His words weren't either. I didn't care about what he went through and what his side of things was. None of this mattered.

With eyes that didn't blink, bloodlust oozing from every cell of my body, making even Alyndra's forehead sweat. I just wanted to kill him.

"Stop thinking of yourself as some mighty hero, you're the same as the people that shamed her. A weak, cowardly monster that follows the herd. Just that, the church was the one shepherding you."

Alya said, also looking straight in his eyes with bloodlust so strong that it had developed an ominous aura that pressured everything around her. "I am glad it happened to her. She revealed what you really are."

He looked at Alya with chilling calm, raising his foot from my non-moving hand.

"No! Stop!" I tried to get up only to fall back on my face as my hand and leg were unable to support.

Alyndra raised his palm, dense gravity instantly building up in it, "Maybe, I am also like them. But, the impact I am having on the world makes me stand classes apart from a bunch of gossiping peasants.

It's an act of mercy. To give such fragile beings a merciless death. This way, they won't even get the chance to become something they won't recognize."

The entire hallway shook violently as Alyndra's palm released the most dense gravitational attack it had ever.

Alya's eyes widened as certain death blasted towards her, turning to look at me, still trying desperately to stand up.

Thick streaks of tears escaped my eyes as I fell back on the ground, right next to Alyndra's leg.

My body moved instinctively as I bit the golden armored boot, again and again, harder and harder, my fangs and teeth shattering with bloody wounds.

"I wish I could've drunk a little more blood when I had finally gotten the chance." Alya whispered with a warm smile, tears flowing from her eyes as she looked at my face covered in blood and tears, "And had let you drink more… P–please don't die?"

"...I-I won't," I tried to return her warm smile with a reassuring one, but couldn't, as if my lips had forgotten how to smile.

"Every time I get the opportunity to kill someone, I take great pleasure, as I am saving the world," Alyndra smirked as the loud sound of gravity blasting through flesh echoed. I shut my eyes as thick, sticky blood covered every part of my face.
