Returning my attention to the evaluation, Natvasha is struggling with the creature in the Fourth Round, a Grogger. While Cadrissa is wielding her sword, beheading a Werewolf, passing from the Fifth, to the Sixth Round.
The incoming anthropoid is armored with an advanced Power Suit, carrying a Bullpup Coil Rifle.
{Azthea abandon this Arms Project after encountering the Terrorist's Railguns. Now i know the Enph Electrons are the reason why their weapons worked well in their hands, but after we fired once, the Railgun's barrel was rendered completely useless}.
{How did the Terrorists gain access to the Enph Electrons?. It's not like the weird Electrons can be manufactured. They belong to a type of existence distinct from the frequency of natural particles}.
{I really need to know what was happening on Azthea, not just on the moon}.
The anthropoid makes measured burst of fire, maximizing the efficiency of his bullets, taking full advantage of his range.
{His accuracy is on par with a mass-produced Battle Androroid from Azthea. But far from the surgical precision of the Farioth}.
By focusing my Gifts on my eyes, i manage to perform an MRI on the anthropoid, noting he has mechanical modifications attached to his bones, integrating his nervous system with the armor.
A synaptic processor should help him to correct his posture, but this deprives him of his ability to occupy his instincts, falling into a state driven purely by logic and efficiency.
{What will he do when the bullets runs out?. Will he fight in melee combat?. Or will he self-destruct the power suit?. In Azthea, the first models were set to implode to prevent the technology fall into the enemy's hands}.
Natvasha finally kills the Grogger, facing a Werewolf in the Fifth Round, hinting to the Bald Instructor she will withdraw after she finishes her current adversary.
Differently, Cadrissa holds her ground against the armored anthropoid, waiting for the Bullpup Coil Rifle to empty all the magazines contained in the anthropoid's auxiliary backpack.
The Cyborg is quick to reload, stalling the imminent outcome, though Rissa's Bodsh is resilient, withstanding the barrages without needing the buckler's direct intervention, the metallic surface still smooth and polished after the impacts of a few thousands of bullets.
{Not needing cartridges with chemical propellants is a huge game changer. More ammo with less weight. Old Rifles had a standard of 30 Rounds. Coil Handguns have double, and it's the civil model}.
As expected, Cadrissa lunges at the anthropoid. He drops the Bullpup Coil Rifle, firing his support weapon, but the bullets are way too weak, proving that Cadrissa wasn't advancing due to waiting for an opening, if not because the force of the previous shots prevented her from doing so.
Cadrissa's sword displays reddish magenta electricity, the electromagnetic deflector defending the anthropoid's armor is absorbed by the blade, cutting through the support pistol, piercing the suit's plates with more ease than a Railgun shot would do.
Likewise, the sword depletes the energy powering the armor, preventing the self-destruction, if said function is actually part of the Cyborg's doctrine.
The Seventh Round is about to begin, and Rissa communicates to the Bald Instructor that she will not advance further, but is willing to try regardless.
The Instructor agrees, ordering the Cadets to clean, and clear out the arena.
"Are you ready?".
The Instructor's question is a mere courtesy, Rissa is ready to dance, waiting for her opponent to arrive.
The anomaly gets larger, bringing a towering naked female, her head has backwards horns and reptile features, the maroon scales coating her skin are barely perceptible, reaching her long robust tail, though what drags most attention, is the Great Thick Sword made of dark green metal and green blazing fire in the blunt edge.
"It's a Bipedal Tyrantess!".
Comment more than one among the stands, even the Instructor shows his readiness to step in, and stop the confrontation.
The Tyrantess's magenta eyes light up, not with Emts, or Electrons, nor is it due to Braddiers, yet, it resembles the Farioth, and the mist that bothered me in the reading room
"Violence Vengeance Virus". I mutter, what drags various incredulous, but preoccupied stares from Ines, Seinnissia and Dafvianch, not to mention the Bald Instructor becomes taller with the Ascension Animal Affection, his appearance resembling a Lemming.
The Tyrantess is fast and agile despite its enormous size, forcing Cadrissa into a defensive posture, constantly dodging and retreating, covering the entire arena in their heated skirmish.
The greatsword shatters the ground with every swing, the green flames melt the floor's material into a scorching puddle that denies space to walk on, reducing Cadrissa's area to maneuver in the arena.
{She is not using her Summon. Not even as a distraction… Oh. I see what Cadrissa is doing, measure the Tyrantess's reach and speed}.
With her preparations in place, Cadrissa swaps her tactic, no more cautious retreat, or analytical planning, if not a dexterous mix of quick dodges and counter attacks.
Deviating the Tyrantess's blade with her buckler, Cadrissa strikes with deliberate lightning bolts from her sword, the weapon serving as a catalyst, until the immaterial strikes becomes a stronger version of the slim toothpick shots employed by the Bruntg, Needleer.
Like it happened with the Cadets, the hits last in the translucent protections in the form of ethereal darts, weakening the Tyrantess's Bodsh and Tasota.
The creature's stamina is reduced, showing that the Needleers do more than just passively drain energy, softening the scales, piercing them to reach the flesh.
{Spooky. These attacks continue their advance after they strike, embedding themselves deeper}.
Cadrissa is not immune to fatigue, finding herself in the need to accelerate the combat, and not withdraw from the match.
During the following minutes, Rissa executes a full contact offensive, exchanging several risky blows before she disarms her opponent, bringing the Tyrantess to her knees.
To everyone's surprise, the creature lowers her head in surrender, depicting a glimpse of noble reverence, what surrounds her body with Pink Emts, compressing her into a ball of light that enters Cadrissa's chest.
{She acquire an Embryon?!. But, how?!. Or, why?. Rissa didn't perform a ritual, and she doesn't know the Tyrantess's name. Similar but distinct to what happen with Vallicca}.
"Congratulations, Young Gentlewoman. In all my years at Takctoor. I have never seen a Rookie of any background reach the Sixth Round, much less complete the Seventh Round. Rejoice. The Cresset House has been blessed with a true genius. Too bad the arena is a wrecked mess. Tomorrow we will continue with the Paired Combat. All of you are dismissed"…
