A Bumpy Road to Power

Chapter 131: Little Wildcat

The news reached out a hundred miles away.

Sherman Summers was fishing.

The phone rang, and after Secretary Garnett Golding recounted the cause and effect in detail, Sherman Summers got so angry he almost threw the phone into the water.

"Idiots, absolute idiots, played by a bunch of troublemakers. That Clifford Levin, utterly useless."

Sherman Summers was so angry his nostrils were flaring, he didn't even know what to say.

Garnett Golding quietly waited for Sherman Summers to finish cursing.

He asked, "Boss, do you want me to help Director Levin smooth things over?"

"No need, small fry, it's no big deal if he's gone. No need to waste effort on him. What about Kian Holden? Is he ready?"

Sherman Summers asked.

Garnett Golding murmured an agreement, saying, "I checked, and tonight he should take action. Caleb Ford isn't someone easily taken advantage of. Once Kian Holden moves, there will inevitably be blood."

This news lightened Sherman Summers' mood a bit.

He said, "Okay, leave everything else alone, let Kian Holden hurry up and move, I want to see how Donal Lewis will handle what's next?"

Clifford Levin's dismissal.

For the entire Stillwater County, it was just a small matter, so small it couldn't be any smaller.

Like a leaf falling into a calm lake, it may create ripples, but it quickly returns to normal.

Who could have known?

Behind the calm, there had long been undercurrents surging.

A storm was about to unfold.

At the end of the workday.

Dirk Carter received a call from Donal Lewis.

Asking him to do a favor.

Because Donal Lewis had a dinner engagement at night.

He asked Dirk Carter to accompany his daughter Eleanor Lewis to see the doctor.

After agreeing to this.

Dirk Carter quickly tidied up, didn't have time to call Eleanor Lewis to arrange a meeting place before the office door was pushed open by Eleanor Lewis, dressed in sportswear, who casually said, "Hey handsome, let's go."

"Why are you here?"

Dirk Carter asked.

Eleanor Lewis retorted, "Didn't my dad ask you to accompany me to see the doctor?"

"I was going to ask you... never mind, let's go."

Dirk Carter initially wanted to ask why she arrived so early, but then thought better of it, deciding it wasn't important.

The two of them went downstairs together.

Dirk Carter pulled out a scooter from the corner, Eleanor Lewis didn't hesitate, plopped down onto it, and directly hugged Dirk Carter's waist.

"Why see a doctor at night, aren't doctors off-duty now?"

Dirk Carter asked.

Eleanor Lewis responded, "Just follow my lead, first head to Dafu Road."

"What's at Dafu Road? There aren't any hospitals there?" Dirk Carter asked, slightly puzzled.

Eleanor Lewis pouted, saying, "Are you going or not? If not, I'll call my dad."

"Okay, okay, little ancestor, I'll go, okay?"

With that, Dirk Carter started the motorbike and headed toward Dafu Road.

Strictly speaking, Dafu Road isn't a road but rather the location of a former state-owned factory, which shut down twenty years ago. Later, the county planned it and turned it into a street, and over time, it inexplicably turned into today's food street.

Dafu Road, crowded with various foods and snacks, may not be a high-consumption area, but many people prefer dining here during dinner time.

Before Dirk Carter could park the motorbike.

Eleanor Lewis had already gotten off and entered the food street.

Dirk Carter, speechless, hurried to catch up.

He saw Eleanor Lewis buying a stinky tofu from a street vendor, took the plastic bag from the owner's hand, then said to Dirk Carter, "Why are you standing there? Quickly pay!"

"I'm paying?"

Dirk Carter asked, pointing at himself.

Eleanor Lewis smiled, replying, "Who else? When a guy and a girl go out to eat, should the girl be the one paying?"

After that.

She turned and left again.

Dirk Carter, lost for words.

Could only obediently pay.

Throughout the walk.

Eleanor Lewis constantly bought food, sometimes it was stir-fried rice cake, sometimes it was oden, sometimes it was pancakes, and so on.

You think she eats a lot?

Then you're sorely mistaken.

She bought a portion, tasted only a bite, and then handed the rest to Dirk Carter.

Dirk Carter literally just followed along, paying for everything, and eating the leftover snacks she didn't finish. After half an hour, Eleanor Lewis patted her barely changed stomach, belched, and said, "I'm full."

"Are you sure you're full?"

Dirk Carter asked.

Eleanor Lewis thought about it, saying, "I could still go for a cup of milk tea."

With that, she headed straight for the milk tea shop.

A cup of milk tea, after drinking just three sips.

She couldn't drink anymore, shoved it into Dirk Carter's arms, saying, "Come on, let's go to the next stop."

Finally going to see the doctor.

Dirk Carter let out a sigh of relief.

Once again got on the motorbike.

Eleanor Lewis shouted: "Let's go clubbing."

"Clubbing, aren't we seeing the doctor?"

Dirk Carter asked.

Eleanor Lewis pouted, asking, "Are you going or not? If not, I'll go by myself, and if anything happens to me, let's see how you'll explain it to my dad."

At that moment, Dirk Carter felt like he was swallowing a bitter pill.

No choice, he had to ride to the entrance of Castelli Hall.

Clubbing wasn't appealing at all to Dirk Carter, a bunch of guys and girls dancing wildly. He couldn't understand what these young people found interesting.

Just as they got off the bike at the entrance of the club, they saw a throng of young people in bizarre outfits coming and going, making for a lively scene.

"We're dressed like this, maybe we shouldn't go in, doesn't it feel weird?"

Dirk Carter cautiously asked.

At this moment, he was wearing an administrative jacket, a full business attire.

Eleanor Lewis was in sportswear with a backpack, she looked like a goody two-shoes except for her outfit.

Eleanor Lewis gave a mysterious smile.

Her hand on the zipper of her sports jacket, with a ripping sound, the jacket was pulled open.

When the jacket was taken off, Dirk Carter's mouth gaped in surprise.

Turns out the girl was already prepared.

Inside the jacket, something entirely different.

She was wearing a camisole leather tank top, the tight kind.

The tank top was short, exposing her entire waist, slender and smooth without a hint of extra flesh, her skin was delicate and toned.

More mesmerizing was the high slit of the tank top.

Her supple curves were mostly exposed.

Giving off a sense of bursting free at any moment.

The top wasn't fully taken in.

She removed her sports pants too.

The scene underneath was even hotter.

A pair of fitted leather shorts, very short, reaching her hip joints, and they were tightly cinched, possibly because she wasn't wearing underwear, a distinct cleft was visible, clearly indicating a voluptuous silhouette.

Her more-than-meter-long legs were sheathed in fishnet stockings, looking wild yet sexy.

Then.

Eleanor Lewis pulled out the hair tie from her ponytail, gave it a casual shake, and her tidy student look transformed into alluring, long, straight black hair.

This wasn't just a change of clothes, it was practically magic.

Her previously youthful aura was completely reversed, now she appeared like a wildcat.

"How's this?"

As if showing off, Eleanor Lewis spun around in front of Dirk Carter.

Dirk Carter couldn't take his eyes off her.

While he was in a daze.

Eleanor Lewis shoved the backpack she was carrying into Dirk Carter's arms, saying, "Your outfit is ready too, change in that corner."

Then she pointed toward the alley entrance.

Dirk Carter felt a million levels of reluctance.

Yet, as she pointed out, if Eleanor Lewis got into trouble here, as her temporary "guardian," he'd really have to bear the responsibility. With a firm bite of his lip, he grudgingly walked into the alley.
