A Bumpy Road to Power

Chapter 24: Sierra Vincent the Blade Sister

There's definitely something fishy about Rardin Grant's death.

As the one responsible for hitting and killing him, Darian Brooks must know something.

If he can reveal the truth, the greatest threat posed by Dylan Tate's death to myself can be smoothly resolved.

This is good news.

Dirk Carter quickly put on his clothes.

Just as he was about to head out, the phone rang.

Looking at the number, it was actually Lauren Radford calling.

If it wasn't for what happened last night, Dirk Carter would have planned to pretend he didn't see this call.

But now it's different.

Although June Bates paid the price.

The mastermind Shane Vincent is still at large.

This matter, he does not want to let it go so easily.

"Sis, what's up?"

Dirk Carter asked.

"Brother, are you free now?"

"You tell me, what's going on?"

"I've found out where Sierra Vincent is."

Sierra Vincent?

Shane Vincent's daughter?

"Where?"

Dirk Carter asked.

Lauren Radford said, "There's a Lighton Motors shop on Wanfuk Road, it's run by Sierra Vincent."

"Okay, thanks sis, I'll take care of the Sierra Vincent issue."

He hung up the phone.

Dirk Carter pondered for a moment.

He decided to let Maeve Winters go to the prison alone, he had to solve the crisis at hand first.

If Rardin Grant's death is a ticking time bomb, then Shane Vincent is the bomb that could explode at any time.

The incident with June Bates left him at a disadvantage.

He can't just let it go like that.

Who knows what schemes are being plotted now?

So, Dirk Carter must take the initiative to strike.

"Hello boss, looking to buy a bike?"

Dirk Carter had just gotten out of the car at the store entrance when a young girl with a nose ring came over excitedly and said.

"I'm not buying a bike, I'm looking for someone."

Upon hearing this,

The young girl's enthusiasm dissipated instantly.

She glanced Dirk Carter up and down with a look of disdain and walked away.

The store wasn't very large, around sixty or seventy square meters, with a dozen or so high-priced motorcycles displayed inside.

Three or four young people in eccentric outfits were gathered, chatting about something.

Dirk Carter's presence caught their attention.

After all, those who bought these motorcycles didn't dress as formally as Dirk Carter.

"Hey, what are you looking around for?"

Suddenly.

A tall man in the middle straightened up and yelled at Dirk Carter.

The man seemed to be just over twenty, about the same height as Dirk Carter, likely over 1.8 meters.

He was dressed in full riding gear, holding a helmet that looked quite expensive.

A tattoo was visibly exposed on his neck.

Dirk Carter pointed at himself with his finger and asked, "Are you talking to me?"

"Who else would I be talking to? What are you here for?"

"I'm looking for someone."

"Looking for whom?"

"I'm looking for Sierra Vincent."

At the mention of that name,

The four young men exchanged glances and then burst into laughter one by one.

One of them, with yellow hair, sneered and said, "You think you can just throw around the name of Blade Sis? Get lost from wherever you came, don't hover in front of us."

"Why so angry? Been peeing yellow lately?"

Dirk Carter chuckled.

Yellow Hair, hearing this, flew into a rage.

He rushed up to Dirk Carter, with a cocky demeanor, and asked, "Kid, dare to talk to me like that, do you know who I am?"

"What? Didn't your mom tell you who you are?"

Dirk Carter asked.

"Hahaha..."

The crowd burst into laughter upon hearing this.

This laughter left Yellow Hair with no place to hide his face.

He grabbed a wrench nearby and swung it at Dirk Carter.

Dirk Carter remained calm, dodging the strike with a slight sidestep.

The wrench didn't hit him but crashed into a motorcycle mirror, shattering it.

"Tsk, tsk, what a nice bike, ruined."

Dirk Carter clicked his tongue.

Seeing this, Yellow Hair shouted to the others behind him, "What are you standing around for? Get him!"

With this order, the onlookers moved. They picked up various handy items and were about to swarm Dirk Carter when suddenly, a woman's voice came from overhead: "What's the commotion? Get lost!"

The crowd obediently halted at the scolding.

Dirk Carter looked up.

There was a woman standing on the loft.

The woman appeared to be just over twenty.

She wore a fitted leather jacket on top, and tight black leather pants below.

Her height was not very tall, probably around 1.65 meters.

Yet, her legs accounted for one-third of her body proportion.

Truly a pair of extraordinary long legs.

"Are you looking for me?"

The woman asked.

Dirk Carter gave a small smile and said, "If you're Sierra Vincent, then yes, I'm looking for you."

The woman said, "Wait a minute."

Then descended the stairs.

When she stood in front of him,

Dirk Carter was puzzled internally.

Despite Shane Vincent's ordinary appearance, he had quite a good-looking daughter.

This cold and reserved face was on par with Maeve Winters.

If Maeve Winters was pure, then the Sierra Vincent in front of him could be described in one word: "sassy."

Beautiful and sassy.

"What do you want from me?"

Sierra Vincent leaned against a motorcycle and asked coolly.

"A race!"

Dirk Carter said.

Sierra Vincent's indifferent gaze suddenly lit up. She scanned Dirk Carter with her beautiful eyes and asked, "A race? Are you sure?"

"Of course I'm sure, otherwise, wouldn't my trip have been for nothing?"

Dirk Carter replied.

Sierra Vincent let out a derisive laugh and said, "Since you've come here to challenge me, you should know my rules."

"Of course."

Dirk Carter finished speaking.

He opened the bag he was carrying.

He took out three bundles of cash and said, "Here's thirty thousand yuan. If you win, the money is yours."

Before coming, Dirk Carter had already learned about Sierra Vincent's situation from Lauren Radford.

After Sierra Vincent graduated from university, her father, Shane Vincent, had planned for her to work in a bank, but Sierra Vincent always went her own way, doing the opposite of her father's wishes.

She went out and opened this motorcycle shop, and usually hung out with some dubious people, racing with others in her spare time.

In short.

Whatever Shane Vincent didn't like, she would do.

A typical race usually had a wager of around three thousand yuan, and Dirk Carter offering thirty thousand indeed surprised Sierra Vincent.

It would be a waste not to take the money that's been offered.

Just as she was about to reach for the money, Dirk Carter suddenly pulled it back.

"What if I win?"

He asked.

"Hahaha..."

The four men behind him burst out laughing.

Especially Yellow Hair.

Smirking, he said, "You win? What a joke, do you know who my Blade Sis is? The racing god of Wyvern Mountain!"

"What if I win?"

Dirk Carter ignored Yellow Hair, instead shaking the money in his hand, and asked again.

Sierra Vincent replied coldly, "If you win, you name the condition!"

Dirk Carter nodded and said, "If I win, you spend a night with me."
