A Bumpy Road to Power

Chapter 44: Disaster Strikes Out of Nowhere

For Dirk Carter, it was truly a disaster out of nowhere.

He was in the office getting familiar with the Work Safety Administration's workflow.

With a click, the office door was pushed open.

Then, dressed in black, Sierra Vincent stormed in, surprisingly dragging Adair Meyer with her.

Completely bewildered.

Sierra Vincent walked up to him and asked, "Dirk Carter, you know I'm the White Tiger, are you willing to sleep with me?"

What the hell?

Dirk Carter was taken aback.

He stood up, just about to ask what was going on.

Sierra Vincent went straight to his side and grabbed his hand.

After intertwining their fingers.

She deliberately lifted them up.

As if to demonstrate to Adair Meyer, she said, "Didn't you say no one wants me? From now on, I'm Dirk Carter's woman."

What does it mean I'm her man?

Dirk Carter scratched his head, just opened his mouth.

Sierra Vincent asked him again, "Tell Adair Meyer, haven't we already slept together? And didn't I say I'd give you a one-night stand? Isn't that right?"

No?

What on earth is going on?

Dirk Carter was getting overwhelmed.

"Is this true?"

Adair Meyer asked expressionlessly.

Obviously, his eyebrows were filled with mockery.

He seemed to not believe Sierra Vincent's words.

"It's indeed true, but..."

Dirk Carter had only finished the first half of his sentence.

Sierra Vincent didn't give him a chance to continue.

She raised her eyebrows immediately, and said to Adair Meyer as if to demonstrate, "Didn't you say no one wants me? Dirk Carter is also a deputy director at the Work Safety Administration, which is the same level as you, is he inferior to you?"

Dirk Carter's response.

Made Adair Meyer's face grow grim.

"Dirk Carter, fine, very good, are you clearly picking a fight with me? I was going to let Gilroy Thompson's matter slide, but now it seems, you're forcing my hand, just you wait, I'll make you regret it."

Grinding his teeth.

Adair Meyer said these words.

Sierra Vincent put her hand on Dirk Carter's belt, turned around, and said to Adair Meyer, "I'm going to give Dirk Carter a blow now, what? Are you planning to stay here and watch?"

"Hmph!"

Adair Meyer flung his hand and stormed out.

Sierra Vincent quickly let go of Dirk Carter and rushed to the office door, forcefully closing it.

"No, Miss Boss, what are you doing? Are you here to get me into trouble? I just managed to..."

He didn't even get a chance to finish his sentence.

It wasn't Sierra Vincent who interrupted him.

But Sierra Vincent, who had closed the door, leaned her back against it, slowly slid down.

Her eyes filled with tears of grievance.

She seemed to be in a daze.

Her body constantly twitching with sobs.

Dirk Carter couldn't stand seeing women cry.

He dared not scold her.

He hurriedly pulled out a few tissues, stuffing them into her hands.

Sierra Vincent didn't wipe her tears, she sobbed a couple of times.

Suddenly she looked up at Dirk Carter and said, "You remember last time, I said if I lost, I'd give you a blow."

"Uh... that, last time was an accident, it's not like you definitely lost."

Dirk Carter said.

"No! Even an accident, I lost, it was my fault for not handling the car's performance well." Sierra Vincent retorted.

It was truly laughable.

Last time, Sierra Vincent claimed it was an accident and she didn't lose, Dirk Carter insisted she lost.

Now Sierra Vincent said she lost, and Dirk Carter said it was just an accident, it didn't count as losing.

"Uh..."

Dirk Carter was thinking about how to respond.

Sierra Vincent suddenly stood up, grabbed Dirk Carter, and said, "Come with me."

She led Dirk Carter to the sofa.

Then.

Sierra Vincent gave him a shove on the chest.

Dirk Carter fell onto the sofa.

"What are you doing?"

"In gambling, one must accept loss. I said if I lost, I'd give you a blow, I'm fulfilling my promise now."

Sierra Vincent said.

Dirk Carter was taken aback.

He was just about to sit up.

Sierra Vincent knelt down, forcefully pulled open Dirk Carter's belt, then unzipped, revealing his underpants.

"No, Boss Knife, there's no need for this, it's just a wager, don't take it as..."

The last word should have been "serious."

But Dirk Carter didn't get to say it out loud, as Sierra Vincent took a deep breath, pulling out the item from Dirk Carter's underpants.

Facing such a thing for the first time.

It was obvious that Sierra Vincent was a bit uncomfortable.

Not to mention that Dirk Carter's thing was rather substantial.

She appeared surprised and at a loss.

"Boss Knife, I..."

Dirk Carter wanted to put the thing back in.

But before he could, an unexpected warmth enveloped him completely.

All his anxiety was immediately put on pause.

An unparalleled pleasure quickly overtook his mind.

To be honest.

Sierra Vincent was entirely unpracticed.

The whole process was like nibbling on a cucumber.

But then again, it was the inexperienced Sierra Vincent after all; just the psychological stimulation was more than enough.

The time wasn't long.

Just a minute or two.

Sierra Vincent suddenly stopped, wiped her mouth with her hand, and mumbled, "It's so big, my cheeks are sore, how do women enjoy swallowing this?"

Dirk Carter didn't catch it, asked, "What did you say?"

Sierra Vincent didn't answer, standing up she said, "I, Sierra Vincent, keep my word, what I owe you, I've repaid."

Dirk Carter put his pants back on.

Asked, "Boss Knife, what's going on, why are you at the Work Safety Administration, and you and Adair Meyer..."

"There's nothing between me and him, alright, I'm leaving."

After speaking.

She just opened the office door and was gone in the blink of an eye.

From start to finish, Dirk Carter was baffled.

In the midst of working properly.

Sierra Vincent inexplicably barges in to give him a blow.

Thinking it over, the whole thing still felt off.

He picked up the phone on the desk, called Colette Wagner, the head of the disciplinary inspection team, in.

Without asking it wouldn't be a big deal, but once he did, he was shocked.

It turns out that just a while ago, a big scene played out at Adair Meyer's office door, he originally had absolutely nothing to do with the matter, and now, Sierra Vincent washes her hands of it all, and whatever feud he had with Adair Meyer now seems eternally irreconcilable.

If this isn't a disaster out of the blue, what is?

What accept lost stakes, clearly it was using him to retaliate against Adair Meyer.

Just after Sierra Vincent left.

The door to Shane Vincent's office in the county government building was knocked on.

"Come in."

Shane Vincent responded.

The door was pushed open, and his secretary Fosco Golding poked his head in, saying, "Boss, Gideon Fletcher is here."

When Shane Vincent heard this, he hurriedly waved and said, "Let him in."

Two minutes later, under the guidance of Fosco Golding, Gideon Fletcher walked into Shane Vincent's office.

As soon as he came in.

He directly locked the door.

"I told you before, if there's nothing urgent, don't come to my office."

Clearly, Shane Vincent wasn't pleased with Gideon Fletcher's arrival.

Gideon Fletcher hurriedly said, "There is cause for this, I must report it to you immediately."

"Oh? Go on..."

Shane Vincent said.

Gideon Fletcher moved closer, whispered a few words in his ear, and Shane Vincent's eyebrows immediately furrowed.

"Oh? This happened? When did it happen?"

He asked.
