Jeming was feeling a bit lost.
For several days now, there had been a constant elemental disturbance coming from that direction.
As time passed, the elemental waves grew increasingly intense; even from a long distance, Jeming could sense the unusually violent aura.
Since the main purpose of participating in this trial was to develop and test the Talisman Witchcraft, Jeming never intended to cooperate with other Wizard Apprentices, so naturally, he didn't buy any communication Witchcraft devices.
Because of this, he understandably didn't know what was happening over there.
But it wasn't a big problem; if he was curious, he could simply go and see for himself.
After a few days of testing, Jeming was quite confident in the combat ability of the Talisman Witchcraft, believing that ordinary apprentices would probably have a hard time dealing with him.
If something major was happening over there, he could just watch without getting involved.
Having made up his mind, Jeming immediately adjusted his direction and headed towards the source of the waves.
He maintained the mindset of a Hunter, advancing while using Alchemy and Deciphering Skill to scour the path, collecting any materials that piqued his interest.
As he approached the area, he caught a glimpse of a few disheveled figures in the corner of his eye.
They were a few Wizard Apprentices, stumbling as they fled.
Their faces were pale, their Wizard Robes were tattered, and their Magic Shields flickered unsteadily, like candles in the wind.
Behind them, a squad of about a hundred Indigenous People were in hot pursuit.
This team of Indigenous People was equipped with more refined armor and weapons, and the Enhanced Power erupting from their bodies was even more intense, clearly indicating an elite force.
"Run! They're catching up!"
"Damn it! My Spiritual Power can't hold on any longer!"
"As long as we get out of their spatial imprisonment range, we can escape!"
Amidst the chaotic shouting, some of the Wizard Apprentices would occasionally burst out with extreme speed, breaking away from the group, their forms twisting and disappearing on the spot.
They seemed to have activated their Escape Ring.
Eventually, only two unlucky ones remained, having exhausted their trump cards or lacked sufficient Spiritual Power, unable to shake off the pursuers behind them.
Desperate screams rang out as the two apprentices reached their limits, their steps faltering.
The eyes of the Indigenous soldiers behind them glinted with bloodlust, their spears and axes closing in menacingly.
Jeming frowned slightly; the group of pursuers was surrounded by a familiar Energy wave—those of the same kind as the ambushers he had encountered earlier.
From the direction those Wizard Apprentices were fleeing, they seemed to be escaping from the direction of the elemental disturbance.
Out of curiosity, Jeming decisively took action.
Sssss! Sssss! Sssss!
Several Fireballs silently shot out from his fingertips, carrying a terrifying heat as they instantly locked onto the leading Indigenous soldiers.
The Indigenous People with Extraordinary Power didn't even have time to utter a cry before being engulfed by the Fireballs, turned into twisted charred remains.
Immediately afterwards, more Fireballs rained down like a torrential storm, engulfing the remaining Indigenous pursuers.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
A continuous barrage cleared most of the pursuers in an instant.
Some of the lagging pursuers and the two apprentices didn't even have time to react before the shockwave of the explosion left them dizzy and dazed.
The few surviving Indigenous People stopped in terror, having no clue where the attack had come from as their companions suddenly lost their Life Energy.
The terrifying scene drove them to instinctively want to flee.
Rumble!
The ground trembled violently as a dozen massive stone spikes burst from the earth, instantly impaling the remaining Indigenous soldiers.
"Using Alchemy to control substances for attacks still leaves something to be desired..."
Jeming grimaced, landing slowly and walking toward the two surviving Wizard Apprentices.
From the moment he launched the attack to its end, the entire process took less than ten seconds.
That formidable group of pursuers had been completely wiped out by Jeming's casual attack, leaving no survivors.
The two fleeing apprentices stood dumbfounded, staring at the fallen Indigenous corpses behind them and the distant Jeming approaching as if he had just swatted away a few flies, their faces filled with shocked disbelief.
"You... you..." One apprentice stammered, unable to speak.
Jeming walked up to them. Ignoring the apprentices' shock, he directly asked, "What happened in the distance? The elemental disturbance is very unusual."
The apprentices finally came back to their senses, hurriedly recounting everything that had happened in the valley to Jeming.
"A one-kilometer diameter spatial imprisonment?" Jeming's eyes flickered with interest.
His Deciphering Skill had already noticed a special Energy source on the Indigenous People during a previous encounter, which seemed to disrupt space.
But he hadn't expected the range to be so vast.
To achieve that would require a Wizard of at least the Fourth Level, wouldn't it?
Yet if there really were Fourth Level Wizards among the Indigenous, these apprentices wouldn't have held on for so long.
"Yes! We barely made it out from the edges, thinking we could escape, but didn't expect them to have dedicated pursuit teams..." The apprentices spoke with lingering fear, cautiously eyeing Jeming.
The man before them, who casually wiped out a squad of elite Indigenous, clearly possessed power far beyond that of a regular apprentice.
Fortunately, Jeming didn't make things difficult for them. Seeing this, the two apprentices breathed a sigh of relief. After thanking Jeming, they activated their Escape Rings and left the Gray Rock Realm.
"A war... sounds very dangerous indeed."
After understanding the situation from the apprentices, Jeming decided not to get involved.
To him, the survival of those thousands of apprentices didn't matter; after all, everyone in this trial was in competition. He was more concerned about how many valuable materials this plane could offer.
Moreover, getting involved in such large-scale warfare carried too much risk with little reward.
He figured his time would be better spent finding rare materials.
"I'm out of here." Jeming decisively turned to continue his treasure hunt.
Unexpectedly, just as he turned to leave, his Alchemy and Deciphering Skill picked up even more powerful Life and Energy waves rapidly converging on him from all directions.
It wasn't just one squad, or two, but dozens of teams forming an encirclement centered on him.
Among these teams were powerful "Knights" and "Shamans," clearly the main force of the Native Alliance Army!
He stopped, his eyes sharply scanning in all directions.
"What's going on? Have they discovered me?" Jeming frowned slightly.
He didn't recall leaving any traces; his previous skirmishes had been cleanly handled, without alerting larger forces.
