"Tian'er!" A soft feminine voice called out loud.

In the very outskirts of the county of Xiouyue, a small wooden house could be seen very clearly. Unlike the neighboring houses, which were covered in small, tilted roofs, this house had a sharp, V-shaped wooden roof.

At its entrance, a small, dirty board was hung up high over the doors. "Feng," the board read. At first glance, the entrance looked nothing out of the ordinary. In a sense, one could say that it even blended with the siding doors.

Inside, in a 3-meter area at the very heart of the house, a small area was left untouched. As the tiny blades of grass budded out of the damp soil, the soft rays of the evening sun shone over them. On the corners of this square area, a wooden compartment separated the entire wooden area by lifting the wooden floor above the ground.

At the corner of this wooden floor, a small boy, barely 5 years of age, lay on his back. His legs were crossed, and his hands joined behind his head as a pillow.

The boy seemed to be in deep sleep, as he didn't budge at all even as the bright sunlight covered his entire face.

On the contrary, his lips slightly curled at the corners, reflecting his satisfied mind as he continued to enjoy his rest.

Engrossed in his sleep, the boy then began to turn to his left. Unknown to how close he was to the edge, the boy slipped and hit the ground on his face with a loud thud and an almost inaudible groan that lingered like a past life's ghost.

"Aaack!"

He then slowly positioned his palms against the ground and lifted his head up, letting the dirt stuck to his face fall automatically. The dirt left a few marks on his face, although he couldn't care less about it.

To the boy, the important thing right now wasn't to maintain his cleanliness but to sleep for as long as he could.

Slowly rising off the ground, he pounced over to the wooden floor. Just as he was about to lie on the floor, a voice called out his name.

"Tian'er!" It was the same feminine voice as before, just that he didn't hear it before.

Recognizing the voice, the boy clicked his tongue in spite. It was as if someone had separated him from his lifelong love. Knowing that he couldn't do anything about it, he shook his head and stood up.

Walking towards the sound, a soft flicker of cerulean glow attracted his eyes. A light he hadn't seen in the last 5 years had finally appeared once again before his eyes.

The cerulean glow expanded in an instant, solidifying into a system window. On it, information that he hadn't seen before flickered boldly.

'Lucian Cross, huh? It's been a while since I've heard that.' A soft smile slithered onto the boy's face as he read through the system's notification.

It had been exactly 5 years since Lucian entered the gate and was stuck in a fairly newborn's body. Although it was bothersome since he, an adult man, was being treated like a baby, Lucian couldn't really do anything about it. Even when his body's parents would forcibly strip him naked and laugh as they cleaned his butt. Even when that beautiful woman, claiming to be his mother, would forcibly pick him up towards her bosom and breastfeed him. Not to mention the countless nights he'd be forced to stay awake and listen in to his parents' nightlong wrestling.

In just 5 years, Lucian's pure soul had been tainted so much that he begged the system to kill him several times. However, the system as well seemed to have been sealed since no matter how many times he tried, it did not respond.

With little to no help or knowledge left about this world, Lucian had no other choice but to accept the torture in hopes of digging into the details of this world. Since even if he didn't have his body or powers or the system, his mind remained the same.

'Up until now I've gained almost every little bit of knowledge that I could from my parents, both about this world and this family. According to what I've understood, this world is just as I thought, a world of qi and cultivation.' He continued to walk with an indifferent expression, soon reaching the door to his left that led to the bedroom of the house.

'The problem, however, is that this world is declining at an insane speed.' Arriving before the bedroom's door, he slowly slid it open. As he did so, a soft breeze of burning cinderwood brushed over his face. The scent in itself seemed to be alluring him inside, though his eyes were stuck on something else. Just a few steps into the room, a beautiful woman sat over the edge of the bed. She was dressed in long silken robes as her dark lustrous hair flowed down her back.

Lucian slowly moved closer as he noticed the striking brown color in her eyes.

'And that right there,' his eyes wandered off towards her waist, where she held onto a big lump of clothes and soft, silken towels. Within these clothes, a small life breathed love and affection in the family's eyes.

'That is the product of my mother and father's late-night struggles.' He snorted sarcastically.

Noticing Lucian's presence, the woman quickly pulled his hand towards her and hugged him tightly.

"Kyaaa~ both of my children are so cute!" She exclaimed in an excited voice.

And that was indeed the truth. Although Lucian might've disagreed, ever since he had come to possess the body of the child named Feng Tian, his charm had increased infinitely.

Maybe it was the genes of this beautiful woman that made his face look so good. Striking cerulean eyes that he inherited through his paternal blood, a face that could easily rival the immortals of the bed-stories, and a physique suitable for martial arts.

Although he partially despised his parents for making him go through such humiliation, he was also quite thankful towards them for giving him such nice features.

If before, Lucian's physique was charming and handsome—it was still at the peak of his original earthen body. This, however, was a body passed onto him from a reputable clan and blood.

"Wait, is that today?!" He asked as his lips widened into a smile and eyes sparkled with a bright glimmer.

"That's right! Your father has been busy all day thanks to that." The woman let out a long sigh. She wasn't tired, but something was weighing on her mind in silence.

Hugging her son tighter, she muttered. "You'll soon be able to select your master... And then you'll go away from your mother... If it was up to me, I'd have not allowed you to do so, but who am I to darken my own son's future over a small selfishness?"

The mother's mind and heart were perfectly reflected in her words. Although sad, her selfishness mainly came from her concerns. Concerns regarding her son's welfare.

Of course, this was the first for Lucian as well, as he stood frozen under her embrace.
