A Cunning Pervert in the Cultivation World

Chapter 451: Return to the Fortress.

Chapter 451: Chapter 451: Return to the Fortress.

Inside the forest just outside the fortress, an unassuming brick lay on the ground, sunbathing in the morning light.

Suddenly, space rippled as Li Feng appeared out of thin air, stepping out from the Divine Brick space.

The Divine Brick immediately floated up excitedly, spinning once in the air before hovering in front of him.

Li Feng smiled warmly and reached out to pat the floating brick gently.

"Good work. You can go back now."

"~~"

A low, happy distorted hum came from the brick.

It spun once more in delight, then disappeared back into his soul.

Li Feng watched it vanish with a satisfied nod.

Then he stretched lightly, basking in the morning sunlight.

"Time to head back..."

With a smile, Li Feng floated up and flew back into the fortress.

While flying, he couldn’t help but click his tongue as he remembered what he had learned earlier when checking Ye Mo’s status.

After questioning him, Li Feng finally understood how that guy had survived so many times.

’To think that guy actually has a special physique that grants him three separate lives...’

Li Feng couldn’t help but sigh.

The cultivation world truly was full of strange things.

No wonder Ye Mo had been so unyielding before.

If it were him, he might have been even more arrogant.

’Still... now that he’s bound as my Star Apostle, those extra lives belong to me too.’

Li Feng’s lips curved into a faint, scheming smile.

After all, Ye Mo was quite powerful and a genius in his own right.

The more powerful he became, the better it was for Li Feng.

Maybe one day, if Ye Mo managed to become a powerhouse and someone important on the demonic path... that would be quite useful for him.

But for now, Ye Mo was still weak, at least in his eyes and it seemed he needed time and resources to construct new lives due to him losing all of them.

So Li Feng had told the three to cultivate for now inside the Divine Brick and try to break through into the Foundation Establishment realm.

Resources and spiritual energy were abundant in that paradise-like space, so progress should be swift.

Maybe after the trip ended, he could release them back to go on with their lives.

’Let them grow stronger. The more powerful they become, the greater the benefit to me.’

He chuckled softly to himself as he flew over the fortress walls.

Then,

Li Feng saw the scene of soldiers and civilians helping each other out after the infected had been cleared.

It seemed that what General Zhang had said was true, these soldiers were quite capable once there was clear command.

They had managed to clear out all of the infected in a single night.

The outer city, though still scarred with burnt buildings and bloodstains, was slowly being restored to order.

Soldiers carried the wounded, civilians searched through collapsed houses for survivors or belongings, and small teams worked together to extinguish lingering fires.

Li Feng sighed softly while watching them search for survivors among the collapsed houses.

The cost of last night’s chaos was heavy, but the human spirit was resilient.

With his robe fluttering in the morning wind, Li Feng quickly made his way back toward the inner fortress and into the grand manor where Yue Lan and Lan Suyao were waiting.

The moment he landed in the spacious courtyard near the flying ship currently docked, servants and soldiers nearby bowed deeply toward him, clearly recognizing him as one of the envoys who had helped restore order to the chaos yesterday.

"Envoy Li!"

"Greetings, Envoy Li!"

Their voices carried deep respect and gratitude.

Many of them had witnessed or heard exaggerated stories of how Li Feng had descended from the sky like a falling star, unleashing devastating attacks that turned the tide against the infected horde in the outer city.

Others spoke in hushed, awed tones about how he had single-handedly stormed the Central Command Tower and saved General Zhang Kuo from a group of deadly assassins.

Even the lowest servant looked at him with shining eyes full of admiration.

"Look, it’s the envoy who saved the General!"

"They say he punched a silver-class assassin’s head clean off with one strike!"

"I heard he fought like a god of war, protecting civilians while slaying monsters left and right!"

A young soldier whispered excitedly to his comrade, "Envoy Li is truly a righteous man! He didn’t hesitate to risk his life for us common folk!"

The praise grew louder and more exaggerated with each passing moment.

Some servants were already kneeling in gratitude, while others clapped and cheered softly.

Li Feng felt his face grow slightly red at the exaggerated stories and overwhelming gratitude.

He rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly, a rare embarrassed expression flashing across his usually confident face.

’This... is a bit too much,’ he thought, trying not to show it outwardly

He gave a modest wave of his hand, trying to calm the growing commotion.

"Please, everyone. It was nothing special! I only did my duty as an envoy of the Azure Moon Sect."

But his humble words only seemed to fuel the fire.

"Such humility! Truly a model cultivator!"

"Envoy Li is not only powerful but also modest! Our fortress is blessed!"

Meanwhile,

From the manor window on the second floor, two familiar figures watched the scene with clear amusement.

Yue Lan sat there gracefully, calmly drinking her tea as her golden eyes curved softly in amusement at Li Feng’s rare embarrassed state.

Lan Suyao, who sat opposite her, crossed her arms under her large chest, as a faint smirk playing on her lips.

"Look at that," she said, trying not to laugh.

"Our ’righteous’ envoy seems to have become quite the celebrity overnight. Haha, I didn’t know he could make a face like that."

Yue Lan set her teacup down gently and softly murmured.

"...He does look a little cute when he’s flustered like this."
