This made their exploration slower and more cautious than Shadow had hoped.

Still, they pressed on.

One of the reasons Li Feng wanted the Divine Brick to tag along was so that if they really found Fen Ziyan, the brick could absorb her and safely retreat back into the Yin Realm.

After all, their goal wasn’t to cause a ruckus or fight.

The deeper they went, the more complex the underground structure became.

They passed several smaller chambers that contained strange bottles of red essence stuck to the walls, but there was no sign of the woman their master sought.

And the further they ventured, the darker and more sinister the atmosphere grew.

The walls themselves seemed to pulse with faint, strange light, and the restrictive formations became denser, layered on top of one another like a deadly spider’s web.

After seemingly having no clue what to do next, the Divine Brick started floating back the way they came, clearly eager to leave so its could smack those three cultivator and interrogate them.

However, Shadow suddenly raised its sharp black hand in a "wait" gesture.

It stared intently at the dead-end wall, its white slit eyes glowing brighter.

After a moment of silence, Shadow slowly drifted closer to the wall and began scanning it carefully, its black claw circling the surface while tracing faint energy lines invisible to normal eyes.

The Divine Brick stopped and floated back, pulsing curiously.

Shadow nodded slowly, communicating with a few quick pulses that there might be a hidden space behind this dead end.

It raised its sharp black claw and pointed at a seemingly ordinary section of the wall.

Without hesitation, Shadow leaned forward and attempted to phase through the stone.

But the moment its body touched the wall—

Shiiing!

The entire dead-end wall suddenly lit up with sinister vein-like crimson glows, resembling pulsing blood vessels.
