Vera Xavier let out a simple "Oh," then turned to the dean of students. "Sir, he’s trying to do your job for you. Aren’t you going to do something about it?"

Fiona Wright and Shirley Ewing couldn’t help but let out a soft chuckle.

Secretary Archer immediately glared at them, and the two quickly suppressed their laughter. Fiona Wright turned to the dean of students. "Sir, you called us here because you wanted to understand what happened tonight. We just got here and haven’t said a single word, yet he’s already demanding our expulsion. Surely that’s unreasonable!"

Before the dean could speak, Secretary Archer cut in coldly, "Ms. White has already explained what happened. Your side of the story is irrelevant!"

"Is that true, sir?" Vera Xavier asked, turning to the dean.
