Returning the goods was out of the question; instead, he would just push Seth Maverick forward to be the fall guy.

When he heard Winter Sullivan had a new batch of top-tier equipment, he immediately pulled some strings to have it transferred over.

Because of this string of incidents, over the past year, every leader at the Northern Head Office, major and minor, had heard stories about Nathaniel Nathan. None of them could understand how a man from such an impeccable background could act like a complete rogue when leading his team.

And because of all this, his presence anywhere now made people nervous, afraid he had come to snatch something else.

In truth, Leader Zhang was worrying for nothing this time. Nathaniel had only come today to see his wife and check on her training progress over the past month.

Nathaniel looked at Leader Zhang and said, "Now that you mention it, Leader, I hadn’t thought of that. I’ll give it serious consideration."

Leader Zhang froze on the spot, petrified. Leader Sullivan roared with laughter, pointing at him. "See? See? You shot yourself in the foot!"

Leader Zhang looked at Nathaniel and asked, "Isn’t that a bit... unscrupulous of you?"

Leader Liu, who had been enjoying the show from the sidelines, chimed in, "Zhang, you’re too naive. With a guy like Nathan, have you ever known him to be scrupulous?
