Chapter 743 - 364: Absolutely No Objection

Chapter 743: Chapter 364: Absolutely No Objection

"Ten laps?! Instructor, isn’t that a bit..."

Sun Yang had just started to speak when Wei Zhuang shot him a glare, and the words caught in his throat.

"You have a problem with that?"

Wei Zhuang’s tone carried a hint of danger.

"No problem, absolutely no problem!"

Sun Yang waved his hands frantically and hurried to join the team as they started running.

After three laps, Han Ruoxi was already gasping for air.

"Hey... after we finish running... are we even going to have the energy for the drill?"

"Cut the crap! This run is the warm-up. If you don’t run, you can look forward to an even worse punishment!"

Shen Qiuyue, running amidst the team, showed no mercy.

"Alright, stop arguing. Let’s pick up the pace. The sooner we finish, the sooner this is over!"

Li Chang’an glanced back at Han Ruoxi, who was already falling behind the group.

"Han Ruoxi, you’re falling behind!"

"I’m... fine!"

Han Ruoxi gritted her teeth and forced herself to catch up.

After ten laps, everyone was utterly exhausted. Sun Yang collapsed onto the ground.

"I’m starting to think the instructor is a spy for the Insect Race, sent here just to torture us!"

"Shut up. If you keep sitting there, the instructor will make you run all over again!"

Li Chang’an wiped the sweat from his forehead.

"Everyone on your feet! Assemble!"

Instructor Wei Zhuang looked at the disheveled squad and scoffed.

"Alright, warm-up’s over. We’ll now begin a team-versus-team exercise.

Han Ruoxi, Sun Yang, you two are one team.

Li Chang’an, Shen Qiuyue, Bai Lin, you’re the other team.

The rules are simple: capture the opposing team’s flag.

If you can’t, get ready for more punishment laps!"

"Instructor, my Superpower isn’t suited for direct confrontation!"

Han Ruoxi said with a miserable look on her face.

"Then you can choose to lose the match. I won’t stop you!"

Wei Zhuang waved his hand impatiently.

"Begin!"

Han Ruoxi gave Sun Yang a helpless look.

"What’s our move? Do you have a plan?"

"A plan? Just follow my lead! And don’t fall behind!"

Sun Yang said, patting his chest.

Li Chang’an looked in the direction of his opponents and said in a low voice,

"We’ll have a clear division of labor. Shen Qiuyue, you go for the flag. Bai Lin, you’re on tech support. I’ll provide cover."

"Understood!"

Shen Qiuyue nodded.

Bai Lin silently pulled up a virtual map and marked the opposing team’s route.

"The two of them are taking a very direct path. It doesn’t look like they have a plan."

"Don’t underestimate them. Sun Yang is just playing dumb."

Li Chang’an said with a wave of his hand.

"We’ll circle around. Let’s not get pinned down in a head-on confrontation."

Not far away, Sun Yang and Han Ruoxi jogged along.

Han Ruoxi couldn’t help but ask,

"You really don’t have a plan?"

"Of course I have a plan! We charge straight at them and grab the flag!"

Sun Yang laughed.

"Do you take me for an idiot? A plan that simple will just get us crushed!"

Han Ruoxi shot him a glare.

"Then what do you suggest? I’m all ears!"

Sun Yang stopped in his tracks.

"I’ll use my Superpower to jam their communications. You use the chaos to grab the flag!"

Han Ruoxi gritted her teeth.

"I hate having to go all out like this, but I guess it’s our only shot!"

Han Ruoxi looked down and pressed a device on her wrist guard. A faint electric current sparked in her palm as she looked up at Sun Yang.

"I can disable their communications for five seconds. That’s the most I can do.

Don’t make me waste my energy!"

"Got it. Five seconds is plenty! Comrade Xiaohan, just you watch!"

Sun Yang grinned confidently, grabbed his Pulse Gun, and ducked behind a piece of cover to the side, crouching down to observe the area ahead.

Han Ruoxi couldn’t be bothered with him anymore. She raised her hand, gathering electricity at her fingertips once more, and muttered a countdown.

"Three... two... one!"

A faint electric wave radiated outward. Bai Lin’s device screen was instantly filled with static, and then the entire display went black.

"Captain, my communications system is being jammed!"

Bai Lin frowned, rapidly tapping at the terminal in his hands.

"The jamming signal is strong. It has to be Han Ruoxi’s Superpower!"

"Doesn’t matter. We can coordinate without comms.

She won’t be able to maintain it for long!"

Li Chang’an waved his hand calmly.

"Shen Qiuyue, continue moving toward the objective.

Bai Lin, keep an eye on our surroundings!"

Shen Qiuyue nodded and moved nimbly through a gap between pieces of cover, making almost no sound at all.

"There’s no way that guy Sun Yang is just going to sit still. Watch for any movement!"

Li Chang’an’s gaze swept the area when he suddenly heard the sound of rapid footsteps in the distance.

"He’s here!"

With a meaningful glance, Li Chang’an quickly raised his Saw Chain Sword in a defensive stance.

Sure enough, Sun Yang charged out from the right, a trademark grin on his face.

"Captain, you’re all prepared and waiting for me. I’m touched, really!"

"Cut the crap. I’m not your target!"

Li Chang’an took a step forward, raising a hand to block Sun Yang’s path as his Saw Chain Sword swayed slightly.

"So what? Pinning you down is half the battle!"

As he spoke, Sun Yang shouldered his Pulse Gun and fired a shot straight at Li Chang’an.

Li Chang’an was prepared. He rolled behind a nearby piece of cover as his Saw Chain Sword scraped against its edge, sending up a shower of sparks.

"Shen Qiuyue, keep going!"

Li Chang’an shouted in a low voice, his eyes fixed on Sun Yang’s every move.

"Don’t worry!"

Shen Qiuyue replied coldly. Her objective was crystal clear; without so much as a glance back, she continued to close in on the target flag.

Watching all this unfold from her hiding spot in the distance, Han Ruoxi couldn’t help but clench her fists.

’Can’t Sun Yang be a little more reliable? If he can’t hold up Li Chang’an, we’re completely screwed!’

"Hey, don’t you underestimate me!"

Sun Yang shouted in her direction, then abruptly changed course and broke into a sprint.

"Let’s play a little longer, Captain!"

Li Chang’an frowned slightly, having clearly seen through Sun Yang’s ploy.

"Bai Lin, watch your back!"

Almost at the same instant, Han Ruoxi had already raised her hand and unleashed an arc of electricity aimed straight at Bai Lin’s position.
