Chapter 1051: Coming To Tianlong School

Chapter 1051: Chapter 1051: Coming To Tianlong School

Far beyond the borders of Tianlong School, numerous hidden powerhouses, ancient masters, and sect leaders simultaneously sensed the powerful birth appearance of a brand-new Beast King’s aura vibrating through the world’s spiritual veins. Investigations were launched immediately across the continent.

The spy reports arrived astonishingly fast. The rumours were entirely true. The previous Beast King of the wilderness had fallen. A new Beast King had officially inherited the throne. Even more importantly... the newly crowned Beast King was currently vulnerable, undergoing a breakthrough inside the territory of Tianlong School.

The exact moment that explosive news spread, powerful ancient sects, influential royal clans, and shadowy hidden organisations immediately began mobilising their forces. Everyone hurried toward the coordinates of Tianlong School at breakneck speed. Each rival group silently prayed that no one else would reach the new Beast King before they did.

Because everyone knew the golden rule, once someone successfully contracted the Beast King, the entire balance of power across the cultivation world would change forever.

Meanwhile, completely and utterly unaware of the massive political storm rapidly gathering outside the school gates, Bai Xifeng remained kneeling on the grass beside Baihu, watching his tiny form with unconcealed worry.

"Teacher Ji..." Bai Xifeng swallowed hard, her voice dropping to a quiet whisper in the tranquil, rustling silence of the bamboo forest. "How long exactly will it take for him to completely finish his breakthrough?"

Ji Yuan remained perfectly silent for a brief moment, studying the swirling vortex of world energy before slowly shaking his head.

"I also do not know." Ji Yuan shook his head.

Bai Xifeng blinked in sheer surprise, turning her head to look at him. "Even you don’t know?"

"Normally, when a true Beast King undergoes a major cultivation breakthrough, it will instinctively hide itself deep within the untamed wilderness, far away from all human settlements. Because of this, no human cultivator is ever actually able to witness or document the process." Ji Yuan looked back toward the sleeping little tiger cub before speaking in his usual calm, measured tone. His intense gaze remained fixed firmly on Baihu. "Before beginning the volatile breakthrough process, a wild Beast King will automatically create numerous natural barriers, illusions, and protective elemental formations around its resting place. It naturally possesses that protective survival instinct from the exact moment of its birth."

He paused briefly, his brow furrowing slightly. "However..."

His dark eyes narrowed to thin slits. "This particular Beast King is simply far too young. He spent his life living right alongside you. He has never once lived among wild beasts in the dangerous wilderness. He has never had the chance to learn those primal survival instincts. Therefore, he probably has absolutely no idea that he should be hiding his presence from the world at all right now."

Bai Xifeng slowly lowered her head, looking down at the vulnerable form of Baihu with a soft sigh. She could not find a single word to refute Ji Yuan’s blunt words. After all, Baihu had been by her side ever since the very day he was born into the world. He had never lived a single day among wild spirit beasts. Everything he knew about the world had been taught directly by her or the other friendly contracted beasts in her Mirror World. Naturally, neither she nor Baihu had known a single thing about the unique, world-shaking breakthrough process required of a legendary Beast King.

"I just hope that he finishes his breakthrough completely before those greedy people manage to arrive at our gates." Ji Yuan spoke quietly, his voice carrying a rare trace of gravity.

"Those people?" Bai Xifeng looked back up toward him, her brow furrowing.

"The powerful experts who have already sensed the awakening of the Beast King’s raw aura. They will come here, without a doubt. And once they arrive and inevitably discover that the coveted Beast King already belongs to another cultivator..." Ji Yuan gave a firm nod. His calm expression became noticeably, terrifyingly colder. "They may very well decide to ruthlessly kill you first, breaking the bond, before taking the free Beast King for themselves."

"That is completely impossible." Bai Xifeng answered immediately, without the slightest shred of hesitation or fear in her voice.

"What exactly do you mean by that?" Ji Yuan frowned slightly at her absolute confidence.

For a brief, fleeting second, a shocking possibility flashed through his brilliant mind. Then, Bai Xifeng confirmed it with a calm smile.

"If they decide to kill me, Baihu will instantly die right together with me." Bai Xifeng said, her voice completely steady. She smiled faintly at the memory of their bonding day. "We did not sign a master-servant bond. We signed an Equal Contract."

"You..." Ji Yuan’s usually calm, unshakeable expression finally broke, changing into one of genuine shock.

For perhaps the first time in a very long while, the enigmatic teacher genuinely found himself completely speechless. Most sane human cultivators would never willingly sign a binding Equal Contract with a spirit beast, let alone a powerful one. Doing so meant that both of their individual lives became completely, inextricably intertwined. If one party died in battle... the other would instantly perish as well. It was the absolute truest, most extreme form of mutual trust and equality possible in the cultivation world.

Bai Xifeng shrugged her shoulders casually, completely unbothered by the gravity of her choice.

"So you see, killing me would not help them at all. It would only destroy the prize they want." Bai Xifeng folded her arms across her chest, tapping her finger thoughtfully. "Of course... they could always choose to capture me alive instead."

Her faint smile gradually turned into a thoroughly mischievous, wicked grin.
