Ms. Diviner: The Prodigal Daughter's Return

Chapter 1785: An Unforeseen Reversal

Chapter 1785: Chapter 1785: An Unforeseen Reversal

"No way, trying such a trick at this life-and-death moment?" Behind him, Long Wudang stared blankly at that wisp of Little Fire; he had suffered greatly at Han Yan’s hands and knew that this Little Fire was definitely not as simple as it looked. Anyone who dared underestimate it would die miserably. However, at such a time, he didn’t believe Xiang Qiuzhan would fall for such foolishness. He even thought Han Yan was seeking death by playing tricks during a life-and-death battle.

If Han Yan knew his thoughts, she would definitely cry injustice. She never intended to feign weakness to confuse her opponents, she never did. She had no choice; heaven knows why every time she exerted all her strength in Divine Arts, it always started with Little Fire before ending with a magnificent blaze, making her seem so cunning and sly.

At the moment Little Fire appeared, a deep blue light suddenly blossomed on Xiang Qiu’s giant Mo Sword, profound and vast, as if the gates to the abyss of Hell had opened.

"Roar!" A black figure flew out from within.

Dragon! Those graceful antlers, elegant posture, sharp talons, and indestructible Scale Armor—it was undoubtedly one of the strongest among the legendary Ancient Divine Beasts, a dragon!

However, unlike what people know of the Divine Dragon, this giant black dragon before them had no trace of holiness, filled entirely with the aura of death, evil, and savageness.

The Demon Dragon roared angrily, flying around Han Yan in the air. In the blink of an eye, its huge and long black Dragon Shadow enveloped Han Yan like a black mist, trapping her firmly within.

Everyone was terrified watching this scene, even Xiang Qiuzhan’s bandits were no exception.

Only then did they understand why Xiang Qiuzhan was able to escape the encirclement by the Five Great Divine Temples unscathed, why so many Priests died under his sword, and why even the Temple Priest, who claimed to dominate the Continent, couldn’t find his shadow.

It wasn’t because his strength was particularly strong, but because of his sword, to be precise, the Demon Dragon hidden within the sword.

"Master Priest!" An Xiaxin and others finally came to their senses and exclaimed in unison.

Perhaps, the legendary Divine Beast giant dragon wasn’t necessarily the ultimate powerhouse of the Continent. This Demon Dragon before them might have been sealed within that giant sword and might not be as powerful as the legends, but the top-tier Priests of extraordinary strength might still have had a chance to contend against it. However, no one believed Han Yan had that kind of strength.

"Die, I want you dead, I want your Divine Soul utterly destroyed, never to reincarnate for eternity." Xiang Qiuzhan sneered cruelly, the giant sword slashing toward Han Yan.

Though Han Yan had long suspected the giant sword was no ordinary weapon, she hadn’t expected there to be an ancient Demon Dragon sealed within. She hadn’t even heard of such a Demon Dragon existing in the world.

The Demon Dragon coiled outside as streams of black mist filled the air, and under tremendous power constraints, Han Yan found herself unable to move. The Longsword that had slashed halfway was also suspended in mid-air, unable to advance any further.

Only that tiny wisp of Little Fire flew toward Xiang Qiuzhan’s slashing giant sword.

Even a fool could tell that such a tiny wisp of Little Fire couldn’t possibly withstand Xiang Qiuzhan’s hatred-filled sword. Not just the Little Fire, even if it transformed into a giant Fireball or a burning Fire Spear, it would be equally unable to resist. The power within that sword was no longer Xiang Qiuzhan’s own strength, but the Demon Dragon’s power.

"Han Yan!" Ling Baobao’s face no longer exhibited his usual calmness; his eyes turned crimson as he lifted the Overlord Dragon Armor and hurled it toward Xiang Qiu.

An Xiaxin and others wake up as if from a dream, rushing toward Han Yan with their Longswords waving in hand, simultaneously releasing various Divine Arts.

The Demon Dragon let out a roar, a surge of black Qi Light erupting around it like ripples. An Xiaxin and the others’ Divine Arts dissolved among the ripples, disappearing instantly, and Ling Baobao, along with the Overlord Dragon Armor, was sent flying back.

"Master Priest..." An Xiaxin’s legs weakened, she knelt on one knee to the ground, behind her, others knelt in unison.

Ling Baobao stood there, his entire body cold, tears rolling down his cheeks.

Xiang Qiuzhan’s giant sword got closer and closer to Han Yan, black mist permeating as it transformed into a fierce dragon head, opening its bloody mouth, seemingly about to swallow Han Yan whole.

And just then, that weak little flickering wisp of Little Fire, seemingly easily extinguished by a gust of wind, floated into the Demon Dragon’s mouth.

Suddenly, the Demon Dragon halted completely, Xiang Qiuzhan’s murderous sword also froze in mid-air.

A shocking scene unfolded, with a burst of flame, the Demon Dragon’s terrifying giant head swiftly melted away, disappearing like ice under the scorching sun, and its seemingly indestructible body covered in Scale Armor rapidly vanished under the blaze of a white flame.

It felt like watching a paper-mache dragon lantern turn to ashes under the flame, disappear with the wind, leaving no trace.

Even Xiang Qiuzhan’s black Longsword was no exception; in the blink of an eye, it turned to nothingness.

"How could this be..." Staring blankly at his empty palm, Xiang Qiuzhan’s mind was in a daze.

This was the final question of his life, one that would of course remain unanswered forever.

Because in the next moment, the unbound Cold Sky Sword already heavily slashed at his chest, and a fiery burning Longsword appeared, piercing through his chest, sending him soaring into the air.

"Ah..." Xiang Qiuzhan finally let out a miserable cry. In mid-air, he had been turned to ashes by the blazing flames.

Everyone was stunned, thinking Han Yan was certainly doomed, but who knew such a reversal would occur; the terrifying Demon Dragon was so effortlessly vanquished by Han Yan, even Xiang Qiuzhan, whom not even Zhuge Qiu could stand against his sword’s might, died under Han Yan’s sword.

Even though it all happened right before their eyes, some couldn’t help but rub their eyes, clearly unable to believe what they saw.

"Kill!" Han Yan pointed with her Longsword and commanded coldly.

She wasn’t a person who slaughtered indiscriminately, but having witnessed the bandits’ brutal ruthlessness firsthand, she would definitely have no ounce of mercy.

Xiang Qiuzhan’s bandits were well-trained, far more fearsome than the Blood Wind Thieves, and if they escaped Huayu City, they would become a great disaster once they grew stronger.

Han Yan knew she wanted to possess even greater strength and couldn’t stay in Huayu City forever, so she would not leave any hidden danger with them.

Unfortunately, using the Divine Gifted Heavenly Power strained the Primordial Energy too much, especially the consumption of the Divine Thought Power, and using the Eight Desolate God Fall had exhausted her completely, making it impossible for her to act in the short term.

The cold voice echoed across the earth, Huayu Temple’s Priests and guards awakened from their shock and attacked the bandits opposite them.
