Chapter 534: The Lesson

The emerald bamboo shoot gave out a green glow and numerous green threads in the hundreds started to extend out from it.

These threads started to move on their own and they began to shoot out at the demonic beasts that were closing in on the cultivators.

All of the cultivators held their breath as they looked on at the green threads hurling through the air, coming closer and closer to the Demonic Boars.

Squeal.

The Demonic Boars gave out a squeal with their tusks giving out a brown glow.

Rocks rose from the ground, forming a wall in front of them.

They tried to stop the green threads with the rock walls but it wasn’t enough.

Crack.

The green threads penetrated through the rock walls and continued their paths at the Demonic Boars.

All of the Demonic Boars thrashed out in pain when the green threads plunged into their heads and bodies with ease.

Splatter.

The flesh and bones of the Demonic Boars splattered out into the surroundings when glowing bamboos grew out from the bodies of the Demonic Boars.

Soon, the Demonic Boars dropped to the ground one by one.

"We did it!"

"Thank the heavens, we are safe now."

"Master Seng, where did you get that artifact?"

The cultivators were relieved when their threat from the demonic beasts seemed to be over and they began to turn their attention to the cultivator holding onto the emerald bamboo shoot.

"Oh this... It’s just an artifact..." Master Seng quickly kept the emerald bamboo shoot under the watching eyes of the other cultivators.

The other cultivators glanced at him with envy and it made him very uncomfortable.

If all of them ganged up on him, he wouldn’t have any Spirit Qi left to wield it anymore.

And that spelled danger for him.

He had to put up a show while he secretly reached for his recovery pills.

But it was next to impossible with so many eyes focused on him.

Lin Xuan Qi watched from the side and shook his head.

From the greed in their eyes, they would definitely be trying to snatch the emerald bamboo shoot artifact away from that Master Seng if they had the chance.

He glanced over at Lao Er and Ling Er, and channeled his thoughts to them, "I want you to have a look at how these well-dressed men will become like robbers later.

"You must never trust anyone easily, especially these cultivators."

Lao Er and Ling Er nodded their heads, not knowing what had triggered Grand Ancestor Lin to make such a judgment.

One of the Demonic Bears came for Lao Er and Ling Er, standing tall and charging at them using its hind legs.

It tried to swipe its front paw down at Lao Er and Ling Er but Lin Xuan Qi got in its way before it could do so.

Lin Xuan Qi hit its forearm with his Five-Element Fist infused with Fire and when it hit, the cracking sound of its bones could be heard.

The Demonic Bear roared out in pain and swiped its other paw down at the empty space that was in front of it.

Blue waves shot out from its paws and hit onto the ground, causing the ground to crater.

A water sphere appeared from within the crater and it became large enough to engulf the whole area.

It was, however, futile on its part.

Lin Xuan Qi had gotten to the side of the Demonic Bear after he had struck its forearm.

He directed his Five-Element Qi into both his fists and struck them at the body of the Demonic Bear.

Splatter.

His fists hit and plunged into the body of the Demonic Bear.

Lin Xuan Qi made use of the opportunity and unleashed his Fire Spell into it.

The fire raged from within and the Demonic Bear turned around in pain, trying to get rid of whoever it was that had caused pain to it.

Lin Xuan Qi gave it a frontal kick and made use of the opposite force coming back at him to get away from the body of the Demonic Bear.

Drip.

Blood spilled onto the ground as the Demonic Bear turned in circles.

It did so for a few moments before the pain and loss of blood got to it.

The Demonic Bear finally dropped onto the ground motionlessly when its wounds were too much for it.

Lao Er and Ling Er were glad that it was over so soon for them.

They felt that they were useless at that moment and they couldn’t help but vow to work hard in their cultivation again.

Meanwhile, things weren’t going too well for the other cultivators.

They were dealing with the Demonic Bears in a ratio of three to one.

But they weren’t able to take the Demonic Bears down easily.

Many were caught by the paws and the water sphere that engulfed them suffocated the cultivators.

"Master Seng, what are you waiting for?"

"Yes, we need your help again."

"Do it now or we shall die."

Master Seng frowned and cursed at the other cultivators.

He didn’t have much Spirit Qi left and if he tried to use the emerald bamboo shoot once more, he would be in danger if the other cultivators found out the truth.

"Seng, what are you waiting for?" Two of his friends glanced at him and asked.

With a Demonic Bear that was coming at them, they would perish soon.

They frowned when they saw the hesitation on Master Seng’s face.
