Chapter 449: Mo Xie
Lin Feng and Sun Xiurong continued their walk as silently as possible. They couldn’t fly since using qi would break the Veil of Concealment, so they had to walk through the forest.
Their speed wasn’t slow as using blood qi internally didn’t impact the veil. Nevertheless, it would still take quite some time to cross this forest.
Lin Feng had even hidden the presence of the Eternal Dao Lotus right now as there was no need for it when he was under his Veil of Concealment. He would only use it when the veil broke due to some mishap, like the trees hitting them after sensing their movement through their footsteps.
He also wasn’t too mindful of leaving footprints as the canopies were very dense, making it hard for anyone flying above to see through them. Not to mention, those devils wouldn’t think that Sun Xiurong would enter this forest.
All in all, their situation wasn’t bad right now and Lin Feng was certain that they could easily escape from this devil’s territory.
He had to say that the heavens of this world must really like him to send him directly into a bloodsucking forest...
Sun Xiurong was amazed at how convenient this Veil of Concealment was. Not only did it make them invisible but it also hid their internal blood qi from these terrifying trees.
They were already in the area where there were many Manifestation Realm trees around them but till now none of them had reacted to their presence.
The only problem was that she was feeling a little embarrassed about the fact that she had to walk so close to Lin Feng.
Suddenly, her arm was grabbed and she got stunned. She was about to react but remembering their situation, she controlled herself and looked towards Lin Feng while stopping on the spot.
Lin Feng wasn’t looking towards her, his attention was on the sky...
Sun Xiurong immediately understood and looked upwards too through the small gaps in the crimson leaves.
A few moments later she saw someone and got a little conflicted. It was the same man who had attacked her previously. The man was looking towards the forest while moving at a slow pace. He was definitely looking for her...
Although she didn’t get agitated easily, she was right now. If Lin Feng hadn’t arrived earlier then she would have died, which would have been the end of not only her dream but also her master’s.
When Lin Feng felt Sun Xiurong’s agitation, he grabbed her arm a little tighter. He didn’t want her to lose her composure here.
Sun Xiurong took a small breath and lowered her head while nodding slightly.
Lin Feng finally let go of her hand and waited for the man to leave the vicinity.
When Lin Feng felt safe enough to take a step due to his battle sense, he finally began moving again.
Now that Sun Xiurong had calmed down and thought everything through, she remembered how Lin Feng had sensed the cultivator without even using his spiritual sense.
This was the second time she had felt that he really had developed battle sense, a feat which was almost impossible to achieve just because someone wanted to do so.
She silently glanced towards him. She still didn’t want to believe it as she knew very well how difficult and dangerous it was to truly develop battle sense.
If she told her master about this then she might get an earful about how delusional she was and to stop imagining things.
Nonetheless, she couldn’t deny what she had just seen either.
Lin Feng could feel her bewildered gaze and ignored it. He continued moving at the same pace. They were about to reach the part where he had first arrived in this world.
...
CLANK!!
The door of the carriage opened and the young man came out. The inside of the chamber was a total mess with two naked women covered in marks lying atop each other.
"Any information about Sun Xiurong?" The young man asked with heated breath. Knowing that he could finally get his hands on Sun Xiurong made him crave for her and because of this, the two slaves of his weren’t able to satiate his hunger.
"Young Master, they haven’t sent any message till now..." while speaking, the protector stopped and looked back.
The young man frowned and followed his gaze.
Three cultivators had just arrived about a hundred meters from them.
The young man’s eyes widened suddenly before his lips curled.
"If it isn’t the delusional Senior Zhe Peng... my, my, what a pleasure to lay eyes on such an esteemed figure..."
The other disciples beside Zhe Peng gritted their teeth when they saw these devils. The situation had turned worse than they had imagined. The presence of this bastard told them that they were also here for their Junior Sister Sun.
Zhe Peng maintained his calm expression although inwardly he didn’t like this situation at all. If possible, he wanted to attack and kill these two before they could ask for reinforcements but he knew very well that given the various methods devils used, this Late Stage Manifestation Realm cultivator could withstand him for a few minutes even when he was at the Peak Manifestation Realm.
In that case, the situation would worsen far beyond what he could control, after all, this young bastard was not ordinary.
"Mo Xie, if anything happens to Junior Sister Sun then the Mysterious Heaven Sect will wage war on your palace." Zhe Peng could only use this tactic.
"Ohh, those words make me tremble... in excitement, hehehehehahaha. If you righteous sects were capable then Devil Paradise wouldn’t be in the hands of us devils. So spare me those unnecessary threats and come take Sun Xiurong by yourself."
Mo Xie would have been slightly afraid if a few of the elders of the Mysterious Heaven Sect had come here to rescue Sun Xiurong but with only Zhe Peng, heh, he didn’t care.
Zhe Peng was thinking the same. If only some of the elders were here then they could have easily negotiated but no one thought that Sun Xiurong would enter inside the devils’ territory.
