Dual Cultivation: Ying Yang is way to Chaos

Chapter 502: Where are you going?

Chapter 502: Where are you going?

"Senior sister Zhi, Elder Cui told me that senior sister Sun is cultivating, so I don’t think it’s appropriate to disturb her..."

Zhi Hui raised an eyebrow before nodding, "I see..." She then turned around toward Zhe Peng, "You heard him, brother Zhe, I think you should come later..."

Zhe Peng furrowed his brow internally, but outside he maintained his soft expression, "Is she in closed-door cultivation?"

"That doesn’t matter," Zhi Hui shook her head, "Junior sister Sun didn’t expect anyone on her peak, so she didn’t specify if she is in seclusion or not..."

Zhe Peng sighed visibly, his expression saddened. "I just wanted to know Junior Sister’s well-being. I haven’t been able to cultivate properly without knowing whether she’s alright. It seems I can only wait patiently, then..."

Zhi Hui sighed inwardly. He was now using a fabricated reason to make things difficult for Sword Pavilion. She couldn’t simply tell him to leave, as that would send the wrong message to the sect if it truly affected Zhe Peng in any way. And who could say he wouldn’t pretend to be affected simply out of spite? A sly person like him would definitely do it.

All of this stemmed from one simple fact, that he had gone to rescue junior sister during the mission.

"Alright, I’ll go and call junior sister from outside her courtyard. If she comes, then that’s good. If not, then I’m helpless to help you, Brother Zhe..."

She had to maintain the facade so as not to sour the relationship between Sword Pavilion and Origin Pavilion.

It was very annoying, though. Most of the disciples and even the elders knew that Zhe Peng was trying to court Sun Xiurong, and there was a good chance that he would simply lie about being affected by not meeting her. Yet they would dismiss his lie and instead blame Sword Pavilion for preventing him from meeting junior sister when he had genuinely gone to save her.

After all, the sect’s top priority was cultivation, nothing else, especially when the person in question was a genius from an ancient clan.

To them, courting someone was merely a means of satisfying one’s needs, and it was an extremely common and harmless occurrence on the path of cultivation. In the end, only strength was the true pursuit of every cultivator. As long as they could become stronger, they would even willingly indulge themselves in the pleasures of the flesh. This was the very essence of dual cultivation path.

"Wait, sister Zhi..." Zhe Peng showed a hopeful expression, "You mentioned that junior sister didn’t let anyone come to her peak, but what about flying a little away from it, surely I can stay at a safe distance and watch, right?"

Zhi Hui squinted her eyes slightly, and she didn’t even hide it, "Brother Zhe, are you doubting that I will not call junior sister?"

Zhe Peng shook his head calmly, "Nothing like that, sister Zhi, I just don’t feel like waiting here, and it’s not really a big deal for me to come with you anyway..."

Zhi Hui took a deep breath, "Alright, come with us..."

She was really irked inwardly, she had to talk to her junior sister and make sure to tell her that she should show some expression of disgust instead of showing her expressionless face while meeting Zhe Peng in the future to let him know that he isn’t welcomed around her.

"Us?" Zhe Peng noted that particular word, weren’t only two of them going?

Zhi Hui, instead of answering him, looked at Lin Feng, "Junior brother, are you going to your courtyard or are you planning to explore the main peak right now?"

She wondered how Zhe Peng would feel when he found out that her junior brother Lin had a courtyard on the same peak as junior sister Xiu, one thing was certain, he wasn’t going to be pleased. She hoped that this didn’t cause trouble for junior brother Lin, although she wasn’t worried much, the fact that he was an alchemist and a quite talented one, no one could harm him openly.

Lin Feng nodded immediately, "I will come with you, senior sister..."

Zhe Peng frowned slightly as he didn’t like the presence of this man, but since it wasn’t his place to interfere, he could only swallow up his slight discomfort. Not to mention, he doubted Sun Xiurong was the type who would go for pleasing appearances, or else she would have long fallen into his hands.

Zhi Hui nodded and caught Lin Feng’s shoulder, "Follow us, brother Zhe..."

After saying that, she flew toward the peak where Sun Xiurong resided, and Zhe Peng followed.

The sect was big, and even a single pavilion held numerous mountains under its domain, so it took a little while for them to arrive at their desired location.

Zhi Hui and Zhe Peng looked at the three courtyards before their eyes went to a small amount of runes drawn in an open field behind them.

Zhi Hui was confused as these runes weren’t present before, "Stay here, brother Zhe, this is as far as you are allowed to go near the peak..."

Zhe Peng nodded, "Alright..." He knew that he couldn’t push further than this. Just as he was thinking that, he saw Lin Feng moving toward the peak, "Where are you going, junior brother?"

As far as he knew, even disciples of Sword Pavilion weren’t allowed to go near the peak where Sun Xiurong lived, only Zhi Hui and Elder Cui Shuyin were exceptions.

Zhi Hui was about to mention it with great interest, given the fact she wanted Zhe Peng to feel the pinch, Lin Feng himself spoke first.

"And why do I have to tell you about where I am going?"

Zhi Hui got stunned slightly, she didn’t think that her junior brother would be this brave enough to talk to a senior like this, is this the effect of a pride that alchemists have or did they have some feud before she arrived?

Zhe Peng was now fuming inside, yet his expression stayed calm to maintain, "I was just curious, nothing else, junior brother..."
