Chapter 151: Chapter 151: How Many Girls Has He Deceived?
Herbert Lee’s words completely captivated Evelyn Hollis.
She looked at Herbert Lee, moved. "This is the first time I’ve met a man so considerate of me."
"Silly girl." Herbert Lee took her hand, his expression full of tenderness. "You’re my girlfriend. Of course I should be considerate of you."
The waiter brought their food and placed it on the table, dish by dish.
After dinner, Herbert Lee brought up meeting his parents again. "Erin, please think about it. I want to give you a real sense of security, to show you that I’m serious about us."
"Okay, then." Evelyn Hollis nodded lightly. "I’ll go home and think about it."
"Good." A gentle smile appeared on Herbert Lee’s face. "I bought movie tickets. We can take a walk and go see a film."
Evelyn Hollis was becoming more and more impressed with him. "You’ve planned everything so thoughtfully."
Herbert Lee smiled. "It’s what I should do."
As they were getting ready to leave, Evelyn Hollis stood up and saw the blue cat lying on the floor. "Wow, it’s been here this whole time," she said, surprised.
Herbert Lee concealed the disgust in his eyes and chuckled. "It must be because you’re so wonderful that even little animals want to be near you."
"Oh, stop, you’re exaggerating," Evelyn Hollis said, but the smile on her face grew even brighter and more radiant.
After they left, Blueberry slowly stood up, a look of disdain appearing in her crystal-blue eyes.
She returned to Renee Jennings’s side, and with a light leap, her small body landed on Renee’s lap.
"Blueberry, you’re back," Sawyer said with a smile, greeting her.
Blueberry replied in a practiced, cutesy voice, "I’m back from my mission."
Renee Jennings watched her with amusement. There was no trace of the proud, irritable princess she used to be.
She raised a hand and gently stroked her head, asking in a soft voice, "Blueberry, tell me what you heard."
Blueberry relayed everything she had heard, then added a comment: "Albert Archer was just like this guy when he first met Josephine Keller."
Hearing her calmly mention the former owners who had abandoned her, Renee Jennings guessed to herself, ’Blueberry is probably starting to move on.’
"He’s using a different name again!" Sawyer’s brow furrowed. "He’s using the ’meet my parents’ excuse to lure girls into the mountains, isn’t he?"
"How many girls has he tricked with this method?" Renee Jennings pressed her lips together, her expression grave. "What’s even more horrifying is that there isn’t just one Herbert Lee in this world."
"Yes." Sawyer sighed heavily.
Renee Jennings immediately sent a message to Henry Stark on WeChat, telling him what Blueberry had heard.
Sawyer drove her and Blueberry back to Blissborne Garden.
"Drive safe." Cradling Blueberry, Renee Jennings got out of the car and waved at Sawyer.
The car disappeared into the night, but she remained standing in the same spot.
Blueberry sensed something and meowed softly. "Renee, are you in a bad mood?"
Hearing her voice, Renee Jennings looked down at her. "I’m okay. Just feeling a little awful."
Blueberry met her gaze and blinked her cat eyes. "Is it because of that greasy-haired male?"
"Yeah." Renee Jennings sighed, turned around, and began to walk slowly.
"Is he very bad?" Blueberry’s fluffy face was filled with confusion.
Renee Jennings said, "He’s very bad."
Blueberry asked, "As bad as Albert Archer?"
Renee Jennings replied, "About as bad."
"That fiend!" Blueberry bared her teeth in anger. "If I’d known, I would have taken a big bite out of him!"
Renee Jennings said with an amused chuckle, "You can’t do that. We should let the law deal with him."
Blueberry looked utterly bewildered.

Evelyn Hollis thought it over for a whole night. Not wanting to miss out on a great catch like Herbert Lee, she agreed to meet his parents.
The next day, after getting home from work, she called him to tell him her decision.
When Herbert Lee heard her, his face showed neither surprise nor delight.
He was very calm, as if everything was within his control.
But when he responded to Evelyn Hollis, his attitude was completely different.
"Really?" Herbert Lee clutched his phone, as happy as a child. "Erin, am I dreaming? Did you really agree to meet my parents?"
Hearing his excitement, Evelyn Hollis became even more convinced that Herbert Lee truly loved her. "Chuck, it’s true. I’m willing to meet your parents."
"That’s wonderful!" Herbert Lee was ecstatic. "Erin, thank you for giving me this chance!"
On the other end of the line, Evelyn Hollis smiled sweetly. "Silly, you’re my boyfriend. It’s what I should do."
"No, it’s not something you ’should’ do," Herbert Lee said gently. "In our relationship, there’s nothing you have to do. There’s only what you’re willing to do, and I’ll respect all your decisions."
His words moved Evelyn Hollis deeply once again. "Chuck, I feel so lucky to have met such a good man like you..."
"I was about to say the same thing," Herbert Lee said. After sweet-talking her, he continued, "By the way, Erin, how about we head out this weekend?"
"This weekend?" Evelyn Hollis asked in surprise. "Isn’t that a bit too soon?"
"Not at all," Herbert Lee said. "I’ve always been ready to take you home to meet my parents."
"But I haven’t prepared any gifts for your family..."
"You’ve already prepared a gift long ago."
Evelyn Hollis let out a confused "Huh?"
Herbert Lee said softly, "You. You’re the best gift my family could ask for."
After saying that, he added an instruction. "By the way, Erin, don’t tell anyone about meeting my parents just yet."
"Why?" Evelyn Hollis was confused.
Herbert Lee said with a helpless tone, "I’m afraid people will get jealous of you and cause you trouble."
"You’re so thoughtful! I get it. I’ll keep it a secret!"
After the call, Evelyn Hollis was completely immersed in happiness.
The little swallow, Inky, on the balcony turned its head to its companion. "You keep watch here. Robin will go tell Renee about this."
Tonight, Renee Jennings had volunteered to cook dinner.
Diana Jennings was helping her out, while Rhea Dempsey and Dalton Jenson sat on the living room sofa, playing with their grandson and granddaughter.
Just then, a swallow flew into the living room.
Zane was the first to spot the swallow and immediately shouted, "Auntie, a bird is here for you!"
Rhea Dempsey and Dalton Jenson also noticed Inky’s arrival.
"Oh, it’s Inky." Rhea Dempsey recognized it and pointed toward the kitchen. "Renee is in the kitchen. You can go find her yourself."
Inky flapped its wings in a bowing motion. "Thank you, ma’am."
It flew toward the kitchen.
Dalton Jenson looked at his wife in shock. "Well, I’ll be. You’re so amazing now you can communicate with animals too?"
"Oh, it’s nothing special." Rhea Dempsey waved her hand humbly.
"Grandma is so cool!" Jasmine looked at her with adoration.
Zane’s little face was also filled with excitement. "Grandma, did Auntie teach you? I want to learn too!"
Jasmine excitedly raised her little hand too. "And Jasmine! Jasmine wants to learn too!"
Rhea Dempsey: "..."
’I knew I shouldn’t have been showing off!’
