The Villainess's Heartthrob Script: I Can Talk to Animals

Chapter 238: Using Her Mother’s Cancer as an Excuse

Chapter 238: Chapter 238: Using Her Mother’s Cancer as an Excuse

When Renee Jennings saw Sean Fuller flirting with Barbie Lowe, she couldn’t help but sigh, "That poor kid!"

After lunch, Cici ran over to tattle to her that Blueberry and Pudding were fighting.

After nearly half an hour of mediation, the two cats finally agreed to coexist peacefully.

"Sis, what time are we heading out?" Renee Jennings went to the children’s study on the second floor to find Diana Jennings.

They had originally planned to go car shopping yesterday, but it was delayed because of Grace Holland’s situation and rescheduled for today.

Diana Jennings was checking her child’s homework. She looked up and said, "We can leave as soon as I’m done checking this homework."

"Alright, I’ll go get changed and wait for you downstairs." After speaking, Renee Jennings closed the door and returned to her room to change into a black and white polo dress.

The three of them—Renee Jennings, Diana Jennings, and Rhea Dempsey—went out to buy a car, while Dalton Jenson stayed home with the kids.

They shopped for two hours before finally settling on a sedan that cost 300,000 on the road.

Renee and Diana bought the same model; Renee got a black one, and Diana got a white one.

Renee had transferred money to Rhea’s card in advance, so both cars were charged to it, paid in full.

As they were leaving the dealership, Renee handed the car keys to Diana. "I have dinner plans with Michelle. I can just grab a cab. You guys can see if you want to check out the nearby mall or supermarket."

"Renee, where are you and Michelle meeting? We can drop you off first," Diana asked.

Renee opened her navigation app. It was about a twenty-minute drive from there, and there happened to be a large supermarket nearby. "Alright, there’s a supermarket over there, too. Let’s go together."

**

"You guys went car shopping?" Michelle Fuller asked excitedly when she learned Renee had gone to pick out a car. "Why didn’t you tell me? I would’ve bought you one."

"No need." Renee nonchalantly flipped through the menu and smiled. "I have my own money now."

Her red BMW had been a gift from Michelle Fuller.

Seeing this, a brilliant smile bloomed on Michelle Fuller’s face. "Look at you, becoming a little rich girl?"

"I’m still a long way from being a rich girl." Renee raised an eyebrow at her. "You’re the real rich girl."

"Then this rich girl will treat you to a feast," Michelle said with a grin. "Order whatever you want."

Renee took a sip of her tea. "Then I won’t stand on ceremony."

After they ordered, Michelle couldn’t wait to ask about Barbie Lowe. "Quick, tell me everything. The suspense is killing me."

Renee recalled Michelle’s message saying Sean Fuller was getting flirty with Barbie Lowe, and her slender brows furrowed slightly. "What’s the situation with Hank and her?"

Michelle explained helplessly, "Hank said he met Barbie Lowe at a party. They hit it off, so they added each other on WeChat and have even had a few meals together. Hank must have a really good impression of her. I’ve seen Barbie Lowe’s livestreams—Hank has sent her a ton of gifts."

"What rotten luck Hank has," Renee said, not knowing whether to laugh or cry.

"You say that... don’t tell me this Barbie Lowe is also..." Michelle frowned. "A man?"

"No, not that." Renee shook her head. "Barbie Lowe is a woman."

Michelle instantly breathed a sigh of relief. "Well, as long as she’s a woman. If she were a man, too, Hank would probably be too scared to date ever again."

"Barbie Lowe just has a messy private life and questionable character," Renee explained softly. "The other day, I heard from her cat, Egg Roll, that Barbie Lowe has actually been married and divorced, and she even has a son."

"Huh?" Michelle looked shocked. "Doesn’t she have this whole innocent college girl persona? How could she have a son?"

Renee said, "Egg Roll didn’t say anything about that. It did say that Barbie Lowe uses her mother’s supposed cancer as an excuse to scam money from men, and she even sells her used underwear on second-hand platforms."

"She..." For a moment, Michelle was at a loss for words.

Renee pursed her lips, a thoughtful look in her beautiful eyes. ’She must have deliberately claimed on my stream that a pervert stole her underwear to explain that away.’

Michelle’s brow furrowed. The thought was unsettling. "Is she that desperate for money? Cursing her own mother and selling her used underwear... That’s just so sick..."

"Yeah." Renee took a sip of tea and chuckled softly. "You should try to convince Hank not to waste his time on Barbie Lowe."

"I’ll try," Michelle said with a pout.

Just then, the server arrived with their food.

In the middle of the meal, Michelle remembered something. "Want to see a movie later? A friend of mine opened a private cinema and invited me to check it out."

Renee thought for a moment, then shook her head. "Can we do it another day? I have to go back and stream tonight. I need to update my audience and let them know Little Red is safe."

"Okay," Michelle said, then asked curiously, "She’s alright now, isn’t she?"

Renee replied, "She’s fine. The two scumbags have been arrested."

"Renee, you’re amazing!" Michelle gave her a thumbs-up, then raised her teacup. "Here, here, a toast to you."

"Want to stay over at my place tonight?" Renee asked while sipping her tea. "We can have a few drinks after I finish streaming."

At the mention of drinking, Michelle perked up and nodded eagerly. "I’m down for that."

After dinner, Renee took Michelle’s car back to Eastgate Villa.

After showering, she went to the study to start her livestream, while Michelle chatted and watched TV with Rhea Dempsey on the first floor.

The moment Renee started her stream, a flood of viewers poured into the chat.

[Streamer, how is Little Red?]

[Hehe, I’m here to ask about Little Red too!]

Renee saw the comments and replied with a smile, "Don’t worry, everyone. Little Red is safe now, and the criminals have been arrested."

[For real?]

[Are you really that amazing? I have my doubts...]

[I don’t really believe it either. If the streamer is so capable, what do we need the police for?]

[I’m still leaning towards this being scripted~~~]

The number of comments doubting Renee grew.

She saw them but didn’t plan on addressing them.

Renee said calmly, "Does anyone want to connect for a call? If not, I’m going to end the stream."

[So is it scripted or not?]

[Everyone doubts the authenticity of this, why don’t you explain?]

Renee chuckled softly. "For those who are determined to doubt, it would be a waste of breath for me to try and explain."

[That’s right, no need to explain to those people!]

[I believe in the streamer!]

[I want to connect! Don’t end the stream!]

Just then, a donation from Julian Nash caught the audience’s attention.

[AAAAH, it’s Julian Nash!]

[My idol is here!]

[Julian Nash actually donated three Romantic Fireworks!]

Julian Nash only sent the gifts and didn’t post any comments.

"Thank you for the donation, Julian Nash," Renee said. "And now, I’ll connect with the first caller."

"The Bread Lady" connected successfully. A woman in an apron appeared on the split screen, holding a small ball of white dough.

Renee raised her eyebrows slightly. "Hello, are you making bread?"

"Yes!" The Bread Lady looked pleasantly surprised.

Renee smiled. "No wonder your ID is The Bread Lady."

"Haha, I love making bread." After a hearty laugh, The Bread Lady got down to business. "Streamer, I have something I need your help with. My dog has been ignoring me lately, and sometimes he even gets aggressive. I have no idea why."
