Chapter 333: Have Your Friends Go Back First

Chapter 333: Chapter 333: Have Your Friends Go Back First

"My stomach’s not feeling well," PorkCongee said, declining. "I can’t drink."

Fiona Lee, however, didn’t seem to realize PorkCongee was just trying to get out of drinking. "Upset stomach? It’s fine. Just take a token sip."

Although the audience in the live stream couldn’t see what was happening, they could hear the conversation.

[Fuck, that drink is definitely drugged, and she’s still saying ’just one sip is fine’!]

[Thank God the police are almost there. The suspense is killing me.]

[Not being able to see makes it even more tense.]

[This ’sister’ is so disgusting.]

PorkCongee had the same thought as the viewers. She stared at the drink in Fiona Lee’s hand, her nails digging into her palm as the disgust and rage inside her intensified.

’She’s truly disgusting.’

"I can’t drink even a single sip." The police were almost there, giving PorkCongee a surge of confidence, and she couldn’t be bothered to pretend anymore. "It’s getting late. I’m going to head back."

"It’s only ten, no need to rush." Fiona Lee smiled. "It’s fine if you don’t want to drink. Have some juice instead."

"I don’t want juice either." PorkCongee frowned. "Ten o’clock is plenty late."

Fiona Lee was annoyed but didn’t let it show. "Then how about you stay for another ten minutes? We can have Donovan take you home."

"That won’t be necessary," PorkCongee said coolly. "I have a friend coming to pick me up."

At this, Fiona Lee’s expression finally changed. She said, displeased, "Melody, what is that supposed to mean? Your big bro and I brought you out, and you called a friend to pick you up? Don’t you trust us?"

[That’s right, we don’t trust you~]

[I really want to see what this disgusting ’sister’ looks like.]

[This person is truly disgusting.]

Even Renee Jennings couldn’t listen anymore. Her voice deepened slightly. "Joey, curse her out."

[As expected of my favorite streamer!!!]

[Go, Joey, fuck her up!]

[Awesome!]

Hearing Renee Jennings’s words, PorkCongee suddenly felt her blood boil, as if she had been injected with boundless energy.

"Fiona Lee, what is *that* supposed to mean?" she retorted coldly. "Don’t tell me I can’t even go home after coming out with you? Do I have to wait for your permission to leave?"

Fiona Lee was stunned, unable to believe that this girl who never refused anyone had such a side to her. It was like she was a completely different person.

"You..."

"’You’ what?" PorkCongee rolled her eyes, wracking her brain for more insults. "You disgusting woman!"

Fiona Lee’s face flushed red. She looked at her in disbelief. "Who are you calling disgusting?"

"Can’t you hear me? I’m calling *you* disgusting." PorkCongee sneered. "Did you hear that clearly? I said, you’re disgusting."

Fiona Lee: "..."

Donovan Grant, who was standing nearby, was also stunned. ’This woman has a terrible temper.’

"Is that attitude really necessary?" he asked.

PorkCongee desperately wanted to curse him out too, but the thought that he was a murderer stopped her. She was afraid he might kill her, so she remained silent.

"Melody, you’ve gone too far!" Fiona Lee snapped back to her senses, glaring at her, incensed. "I was clearly just concerned about you! I was thinking that since I brought you out, I’m responsible for taking you home, but this is how you talk to me?"

"Are you really concerned about me?" The more PorkCongee thought about it, the angrier she became. "You know damn well what kind of sinister intentions you have!"

When Fiona Lee heard this, her heart lurched, and a flicker of suspicion crossed her eyes.

’Could this woman actually know something?’

She glanced uneasily at Donovan Grant. ’That psycho didn’t tell Hailey Brooks he just got out of prison, did he?’

Fiona Lee frowned, feeling unsettled. She asked tentatively, "Melody, why would you say something like that? To me, you’re like my own little sister. Words like that really hurt."

"You’re the one who’s hurting me." Through her earpiece, PorkCongee heard Renee Jennings say that the police had arrived and were looking for her. She grabbed her bag and stood up to leave.

Seeing this, Fiona Lee immediately blocked her path. "Melody, you can’t go yet. We need to clear things up first."

She turned her head to Donovan Grant. "Donovan, did you say something to make Melody misunderstand?"

Donovan Grant frowned and shook his head. "No, I didn’t tell her."

Hearing this, Fiona Lee relaxed slightly.

She stared at PorkCongee, her expression turning to one of feigned helplessness. "Melody, are you in a bad mood? Did your big sis just happen to annoy you?"

"I don’t want to talk to you anymore." PorkCongee moved to walk around her.

"Honey, President Grant, get over here!" Fiona Lee shouted to the men fishing nearby. "Donovan, stop Melody! Don’t let her leave!"

PorkCongee’s heart sank. She hadn’t expected them to show their true colors so brazenly.

Donovan Grant grabbed her slender wrist, his tone laced with annoyance. "You’re not leaving."

"Don’t touch me!" PorkCongee felt a chill run through her, the cold spreading up her back.

Donovan Grant snapped, "What’s the big deal if I touch you?"

Fiona Lee’s husband, Walter Conway, and their superior, Dylan Grant, rushed over. Seeing the scene, they asked suspiciously, "What’s going on?"

"Honey, President Grant, Melody is saying I have ill intentions toward her! She called me disgusting and even called a friend to come pick her up," Fiona Lee cried, playing the victim.

The moment she said that, Walter Conway and Dylan Grant instantly understood what she meant.

Hailey Brooks had probably found out about Donovan Grant’s prison time.

"Melody, why don’t you ask your friend to go home first? We can sit down and have a proper talk, okay?" Walter Conway said in a gentle tone.

Before PorkCongee could answer, a deep, cold male voice suddenly rang out.

"Hailey Brooks."

Hearing someone call her name, PorkCongee immediately looked toward the sound. She saw a tall man and a slender woman.

Renee Jennings recognized the familiar voice. "Joey, the person who called you is a police officer."

Hearing this, PorkCongee immediately responded, "I’m over here!"

Henry Stark and Sawyer walked into the camping tent, their eyes landing on PorkCongee’s captured wrist.

"What’s going on here?" Henry Stark asked coolly.

"Are you Melody’s friends?" Walter Conway pulled out a cigarette and offered it to him. "She doesn’t want to go back yet. You two can leave first."

PorkCongee quickly blurted out, "I want to go back! I don’t want to stay here, but they won’t let me leave!"

"Why won’t you let her leave?" Henry Stark ignored the offered cigarette, his dark, cold gaze sweeping over everyone present.

Dylan Grant frowned, feeling an inexplicable sense of pressure.

Walter Conway felt it too, but he feigned composure. "We’re having a party. No one else has left. We brought her here, so we’re responsible for taking her home."

Henry Stark asked, "Will you really be responsible?"

Walter Conway withdrew the cigarette, thinking Henry’s tone had softened. "Yes, you can rest assured. We’ll get her home safely."

"I don’t want to stay here!" PorkCongee looked at Sawyer imploringly. "Miss, I want to go home!"
