The Villainess's Heartthrob Script: I Can Talk to Animals

Chapter 404: Turns Out Not All Humans Are Demons

Chapter 404: Chapter 404: Turns Out, Not All Humans Are Demons

Renee Jennings smiled and greeted her, "Hello, Bear."

Bear, who wore a pair of black-framed glasses, pushed them up the bridge of her nose and gave a shy smile. "Hi, Streamer."

Renee could faintly hear the sound of a bird chirping from her end. "Do you have a pet bird?"

"Yes." Bear nodded. "It’s a Pip my dad is raising."

She flipped her camera around, aiming it at the Pip. "His name is Orion."

Its gray feathers were dotted with white and yellow spots, and its light red cheeks looked like they had been dabbed with blush. It was absolutely adorable.

[I want the shade number for that blush QAQ]

[What an elegant little bird. Is it expensive? Is it easy to raise?]

[The price for a pearl Pip is okay. You can probably get one for three hundred.]

"A very cute parrot," Renee said softly. "Bear, is there something I can help you with?"

"Actually, there is something I’d like your help with." Bear paused for two seconds before continuing, "But I’d like to talk about it privately, if that’s okay. It involves my family’s privacy."

"Of course." Renee nodded. "Is it urgent?"

"Could you help me communicate with it today?" Bear replied. "My family gets back tomorrow."

"Okay," Renee said. "I’ll contact you tonight."

Bear flipped the camera back to herself, her expression serious. "Thank you, Streamer. I’ll go offline now."

"Alright." Renee nodded.

After Bear went offline, she sent a gift of Angel Wings worth 188 yuan.

Renee smiled. "Alright, let’s connect with the next person."

Within an hour, she had connected with two more viewers, both of whom needed help with minor pet issues.

After she ended the stream, she said goodbye to Thunderbolt. As she was getting ready to leave, Blaze, who wasn’t far off, woke up.

Blaze was still a little groggy. He looked around and frowned, displeased.

’Why is she so far away from me?’

Seeing that he was awake, Renee walked over to him with a smile. "Blaze, I’m leaving now."

"Aren’t you going to stay for dinner?" Blaze asked.

Renee looked at him in surprise when she heard this. "You’re inviting me to dinner?"

She was on such good terms with the tiger brothers, but they had only ever asked her to stay on as their Breeder.

This was the first time an animal had invited her to stay for dinner.

"That’s right." Blaze nodded. "I’ll treat you to dinner, but you can’t play with Thunderbolt. Play with me instead, alright?"

’So there were conditions.’

Renee raised an eyebrow slightly. "Why not play with Thunderbolt?"

Blaze: "No reason."

He clearly didn’t want to answer.

Renee didn’t press him. She chuckled. "I won’t stay for dinner. I have other friends to visit."

"Alright, then." Blaze didn’t insist, but he did add a request. "Next time you come, can you bring that sparkly thing for my lioness? The one Thunderbolt had last time?"

"Sparkly thing?" Renee paused for a few seconds before she remembered. "You mean a hair clip?"

"Is that what it’s called? A hair clip?" Blaze thought for a moment. It did seem to be something clipped onto fur. "Yes, that’s it. A hair clip."

Renee smiled and nodded. "Okay, I’ll bring some for you all next time."

"Thanks." Blaze gently nuzzled her with his head.

Renee took the opportunity to pat his head. "I’m off. See you next time."

The moment she left, Thunderbolt rushed toward Blaze and demanded unhappily, "What did you just say to my friend?"

"Your friend?" Blaze lifted his chin. "She’s my friend now."

"Impossible! Absolutely impossible!" Thunderbolt snarled, baring his teeth at him. "You’re not allowed to steal my friend!"

"Hmph! None of your business!" After saying his piece, Blaze flicked his tail and ran toward Thunderbolt’s lioness. "Dani, want to play together?"

Thunderbolt chased after him furiously. "Blaze, you shameless...!"

Renee left the Lion Park and went to visit Kaiser.

A clear blue spread across the eastern sky, while the crimson twilight was shattered and scattered by the setting sun in the west.

Inside the large terrarium, his serpentine body was wrapped lazily around a branch like satin. The tip of his tail hung down naturally, and his triangular head was held high. His posture was elegant, but when he was perfectly still, he looked just like a model statue.

As Renee approached, his two brown eyes shifted, and his body moved swiftly.

"You’re here," he said, looking at Renee through the transparent wall of the terrarium.

Renee’s lips curved into a slight smile. "This terrarium is a bit small. Do you dislike it? You can tell me if you don’t like it here."

"Not at all." Kaiser gazed at her gently. "This place is great. I am very satisfied."

Hearing this, Renee felt a bit more at ease. "That’s good. And what about the food? Are you satisfied with it?"

Kaiser dipped his triangular head slightly. "Everything is great, thank you."

He was truly grateful for Renee’s help.

Not only had she helped him get revenge on those humans, but she also prepared all his meals and had now provided him with such a wonderful environment to live out the rest of his life.

’So, not all humans are demons, after all.’

"Don’t mention it." Renee ’petted’ him through the glass. "I’ll come see you again. I have to go now."

"Okay." Kaiser nodded his head again.

Renee left the zoo to meet up with Michelle Fuller.

When she heard that Renee had helped Kaiser get his revenge, Michelle Fuller excitedly gave her two thumbs up. "Renee, you’re amazing! If I weren’t wearing sneakers today, I’d give you four thumbs up!"

Renee smiled tactfully. "Two thumbs up is plenty."

"So satisfying!" Michelle raised her teacup. "Here, let me toast you with tea instead of wine."

After finishing her tea, she wiggled her eyebrows at Renee. "How about you come over to my place tonight? We can have a few drinks."

Renee: "I have to connect with Bear tonight to see what she needs my help with."

"That’s easy!" Michelle snapped her fingers. "We can drink after your call is over."

"Should we ask Summer?" Renee asked.

"Sure, I’ll ask her." Michelle immediately picked up her phone to call.

The phone rang several times, but no one answered. "She’s not picking up. I’ll leave her a message in the group chat."

"Okay." Renee nodded, taking out her own phone to @ Sylvia Brooks in the group chat. She also sent a message to her family group chat to let them know she wouldn’t be home tonight.

At the Fullers’ home, a luxurious three-tiered crystal chandelier refracted brilliant light that danced across the spotless marble floor.

After taking a shower, Renee sat at Michelle’s vanity, her slender, pale fingers holding her phone as she typed a message to Bear.

[Bear, are you free for a video call now?]

Bear must have been waiting for her message, because a reply came back the very next second.

[Streamer, I’m free now!]

Seeing the message, Renee tapped the screen and invited her to a video call.

Once the call connected, Renee looked at the screen and curved her lips into a smile. "Good evening, Bear."

Bear once again subconsciously adjusted her glasses, her smile still tinged with shyness. "Good evening, Streamer. Sorry to bother you!"
