The Villainess's Heartthrob Script: I Can Talk to Animals

Chapter 488: Contact the Cyber Police to Shut Down Her Account

Chapter 488: Chapter 488: Contact the Cyber Police to Shut Down Her Account

Another half hour passed.

Renee Jennings and Zachary Conway walked over together.

"Renee, are you all done?" Michelle Fuller asked.

Renee Jennings nodded, the corners of her lips curling up. "All done. We can leave now."

She looked at Melody Marsh, her voice tinged with a smile. "Melody, you’ll need to wait a little longer. The police will want to talk to you again soon."

"Renee," Melody Marsh said, mustering her courage, "Can I add you on WeChat?"

"Of course." Renee Jennings took out her phone. "I’ll scan your code."

After adding her on WeChat, Jenson Marsh once again thanked her solemnly. "Host Jennings, would it be convenient to give me your bank account number?"

Renee Jennings raised an eyebrow and smiled. "I appreciate the thought. If fate brings us together again, we’ll see each other then."

The group had just stepped out of the police station when a voice suddenly called out from behind them.

"Host Jennings!"

Renee Jennings stopped, turned around, and looked at the person calmly. "Ms. Lynn, can I help you?"

Amanda Lynn stopped in front of her and bowed deeply, her gaze sincere. "Host Jennings, thank you for saving Melody. And also... I’m so sorry."

Hearing this, Renee Jennings explained in a gentle voice, "You don’t need to apologize to me. I wasn’t harmed in any way. Melody was the one who was affected."

Amanda Lynn’s eyelashes trembled, and that awful feeling resurfaced in her heart.

"Goodbye," Renee Jennings said, then turned and left.

Once they were in the car, Hilary said with a wide grin, "Ms. Jennings, Michelle, Officer Conway, I’m your tour guide for today. The park director asked me to show you around Lyris."

"Sounds good." Renee Jennings arched an eyebrow slightly. "We’ll be in your hands, then."

"It’s no trouble at all, no trouble at all." Hilary gripped the steering wheel, smiling happily. "I get to benefit too—it’s like a paid vacation for me."

"Nice, nice," Michelle Fuller said, clapping her hands.

As it was getting close to lunchtime, Hilary took them to check out one of Lyris’s signature local delicacies.

"The siu laap here is really famous," Hilary explained as they stood in line. "The history of siu laap can be traced back to the Tang and Song dynasties..."

Hilary was a competent tour guide today; everyone listened attentively.

"Besides siu laap, I also highly recommend the dim sum and beef offal," Hilary said with great sincerity. "How about we have siu laap for lunch, beef offal in the afternoon, and then go to a tea house for dim sum tonight?"

Renee Jennings and the other two nodded in agreement.

"Sounds good."

"I’m in."

"No objections from me."

After queuing for about half an hour, a girl with two high ponytails suddenly approached Renee Jennings and asked excitedly, "Are you Renee Jennings, the streamer who can talk to animals?"

"Hello." Renee Jennings smiled and extended her hand. "I’m Renee Jennings."

"Oh my god!" the high-ponytail girl exclaimed excitedly. "I’m a fan of yours!"

She quickly wiped her hand on her clothes a few times before taking Renee Jennings’s hand. "I went to the zoo but didn’t run into you. I can’t believe I’m seeing you here..."

She had watched Renee Jennings’s livestream and knew she would be coming to Lyris Crestview Wildlife Park these next few days, so she had specially bought a plane ticket to fly over.

"It just goes to show we were fated to meet," Renee Jennings said earnestly.

The high-ponytail girl was ecstatic. She hadn’t expected her to be so approachable in person, even offering a handshake.

She quickly gushed, "Renee Jennings, I really, really like you!"

"Thank you for your support. You’re so cute," Renee Jennings praised sincerely.

The girl was wearing a light blue Lolita dress, looking like an exquisite doll.

"Hehe, thanks!" The high-ponytail girl gave a shy smile and, clutching her phone, asked expectantly, "Can I take a picture with you?"

Renee Jennings: "Of course."

The high-ponytail girl raised her phone and snapped a few selfies with a CLICK, CLICK.

She stared at her phone, then looked back at Renee Jennings, and exclaimed with emotion, "I’m so lucky! This trip was totally worth it!"

"Then I can rest easy," Renee Jennings said, a smile dancing in her eyes.

Just as the high-ponytail girl was about to take her cue and leave, she suddenly remembered something. "Oh, by the way, have you seen the videos from that one girl?"

"Which girl?" Renee Jennings blinked, a hint of confusion appearing in her eyes.

"The one who documents Sasha’s daily life. Her name is Ashlyn or something," the high-ponytail girl said, tapping at her phone screen. "I’ll pull it up for you. I feel like she’s leeching off your popularity and stirring up trouble to slander you."

"What?" Michelle Fuller, hearing the last part, was instantly furious. "Who is it? Pull it up and let me see! Who dares to leech off Renee’s popularity and slander her!"

The high-ponytail girl heard the voice, glanced up at her, and then went back to tapping on her screen.

Two seconds later, she looked up at Michelle Fuller again. "Are... are you Autumnal Bloom from the livestream, Renee Jennings’s good friend?"

"Yep, I’m Autumnal Bloom," Michelle Fuller nodded, her expression solemn. "And I’m also Renee Jennings’s best friend, Michelle Fuller."

"Whoa!" The high-ponytail girl’s eyes instantly lit up. "Then can I take a picture with both of you at the same time?"

Michelle Fuller’s face was taut. "No problem. But first, show me which bastard is slandering Renee."

"Okay!" The high-ponytail girl lowered her gaze and continued tapping around on her phone screen. "Found it."

She handed the phone to Michelle Fuller. "It’s this one. ’The Kind-Hearted Little Miss Ashlyn.’"

Michelle Fuller took the phone, and Zachary Conway and Hilary’s heads popped up on either side of her to look.

"Let me see how serious this is," Zachary Conway said in a grave tone. "If it’s too outrageous, I’ll contact the cyber police immediately to have her account suspended, and then invite her to the station for a cup of tea."

The high-ponytail girl looked at him in surprise.

’Is he being for real, or just trying to act tough?’

Hilary glanced at the video’s content and said, "That’s the account of the girl with the orange hair from yesterday."

"What the hell is this edit?" Michelle Fuller gritted her teeth in anger. "What does she mean, ’the animal host deliberately bad-mouthed Sasha to earn money from the zoo,’ and ’intentionally didn’t give Sasha a gift to maliciously spite her’? Is she nuts?!"

The high-ponytail girl analyzed, "She posted it last night. It didn’t seem to have much traction at first, but she probably paid for promotion today. When I saw it last night, it barely had any likes."

Hilary frowned tightly. "She’s gone too far! She was bothering Ms. Jennings at work all day yesterday, and she still has the nerve to post a video like this?"

"Unbelievable. She’s always using videos of Sasha to make money, and the zoo just turns a blind eye. They’ve spoiled her so much she doesn’t know her place anymore!"

Hilary said this while pulling out her phone. "I’m contacting the park director right now to tell her about this."

Michelle Fuller turned her head to ask Zachary Conway, her voice filled with irrepressible urgency, "This psycho is spreading rumors and leading a smear campaign against Renee. It already has over ten thousand likes and thirty thousand comments. We can hold her legally responsible for this, right?"

"Yes." Zachary Conway also took out his phone, his voice heavy. "I’ll have my colleagues contact her."

Michelle Fuller handed the phone back to the high-ponytail girl and pulled out her own to search for the account, ready to flame the user to death—

"They have a table for us!" Renee Jennings’s cheerful voice suddenly called out. "Quick, let’s go sit."
