Chapter 513: Chapter 513: Their Family’s 10-Year Meal Ticket
Director Leto gave Renee a thumbs-up. "Consultant Jennings, you really think of everything."
He then looked at Addie Sutton, smiling kindly. "In that case, let me help you find a part-time job, all right? My younger brother owns a milk tea shop."
After a moment’s hesitation, Addie Sutton thanked him graciously. "Thank you, Director Leto."
Director Leto nodded, his smile deepening. "Give me your contact information, and I’ll have my brother get in touch with you."
"I haven’t bought a phone yet," Addie Sutton said. "Why don’t you write his number down for me, Director Leto, and I’ll contact him?"
Michelle Fuller said, "You can just give me the number. I’m taking Addie to buy a phone in a little while."
"All right." Director Leto looked gratified. "Addie is very lucky to have met you all."
Addie Sutton wholeheartedly agreed. "Yes, I am. Very lucky."
Ten minutes later, Renee and her group left Director Leto’s office.
Two minutes later, Addie Sutton stood up and gave a slight bow. "Director Leto, I’ll be leaving now."
After leaving the police station, Addie Sutton walked down the street for a bit, clutching Ducky.
Soon, a black van pulled up and stopped in front of her. Hilary rolled down the window and called out, "Addie, get in."
"Coming!" Addie Sutton’s lips curved into a smile as she jogged over and hopped into the van.
Michelle Fuller clapped her hands and grinned. "Let’s go shopping, girls. Gifts for everyone, my treat!"
"So generous, Ms. Fuller!" Hilary chimed in supportively.
As the van headed for the mall, Felix Sutton and his wife, Helen Lockwood, were just leaving the interrogation room.
Their expressions were grim, and when they discovered Addie Sutton was nowhere to be found, the anger simmering inside them boiled over.
"Where’s my daughter?" Helen Lockwood demanded, grabbing a female officer.
The officer shook her head. "Sorry, I’m not sure."
"Why weren’t you keeping an eye on my daughter?" Helen Lockwood was furious, her voice suddenly rising. "You lost her!"
"Mrs. Sutton, please calm down. Addie Sutton is a legal adult." Raleigh, unable to listen any longer, cut in with a frown. "She has the right to go where she pleases. We have no authority to restrict her freedom of movement."
Helen Lockwood was about to go insane with rage, but there was nothing she could do.
Felix Sutton pushed up his glasses, his eyes glinting menacingly from behind the lenses. "Let’s go home," he said in a low voice.
"But what about Addie?" Helen Lockwood asked, growing frantic. ’She’s our meal ticket for the next ten years!’
"Her household registration is still with us. She can’t get away," Felix Sutton said before turning and walking off first.
Helen Lockwood saw the logic in that and immediately hurried after him.

Inside Lyris’s largest shopping mall, Michelle Fuller bought Addie Sutton this year’s latest model of smartphone.
Not only that, but she also bought a tablet for Hilary and a sports watch for Kian Cole.
As for Renee’s gift, she already had something in mind and would give it to her back in Zenvia.
"I get a gift, too?" Hilary asked, looking pleasantly surprised.
"Of course." Michelle Fuller raised an eyebrow at her. "This way, you’ll always remember me."
Kian Cole gazed down at the watch in his palm, a slight smile playing on his lips. He chuckled softly. "I’ll always remember you, too."
Hearing that, Michelle Fuller’s heart skipped a beat, and the tips of her ears grew inexplicably hot. She turned to look at him and stammered, "You... you don’t have to."
Kian Cole paused, then said, "I see. In that case, I’ll get you a gift in return next time."
"No, no." Michelle Fuller quickly waved her hands to explain. "That’s not what I meant, I wasn’t asking for a gift in return..."
"It’s fine." Kian Cole flashed a brilliant smile. "I’m just really happy to get a gift from you."
"As long as you’re happy." Michelle Fuller nodded vigorously. "That’s all that matters, just be happy."
Renee sensed the atmosphere was a little strange and chuckled lightly. "Now that Michelle’s done giving out gifts, it’s my turn."
"You’re giving out gifts too, Ms. Jennings?" Hilary asked, looking at her in surprise.
Renee nodded. "That’s right. I’ll start by picking something for Addie."
When Addie Sutton heard this, she quickly said, "Renee, I don’t need a gift! You’ve already helped me so, so much."
But Renee said with a straight face, "You accepted Michelle’s gift. To be fair, you can’t refuse mine either."
Addie Sutton never thought she would have such a happy day.
Her eyes welled up, and she was so moved she felt like crying.
Renee picked out a laptop for Addie Sutton; for an incoming college student, a laptop was just as important as a phone.
As for Hilary, Renee bought her a bag that cost over four thousand yuan.
"Kian..." Renee looked at Kian Cole, her brow furrowed in thought. "Is there anything in particular you’d like?"
She really had no idea what to get for a guy.
Kian Cole didn’t stand on ceremony and said directly, "How about you get me a hat?"
A black baseball cap from some brand, 399 yuan.
Michelle Fuller looked at him and raised an eyebrow. "Why’d you pick something so inexpensive?"
"Because I was just thinking about buying a hat." Kian Cole immediately put on the hat and the watch.
Renee looked at Michelle Fuller and smiled. "I’ll give you your gift when we get back."
"Renee, we’re totally on the same wavelength." Michelle Fuller gave Renee another bear hug. "I was planning on giving you your gift when we get back, too."
Nestled in Addie Sutton’s arms, Ducky quacked indignantly. "QUACK QUACK QUACK? You all get gifts, but what about Ducky? Doesn’t Ducky get anything?"
Hearing this, Renee’s eyebrow arched, a smile touching her eyes. "In that case, can I get you a hat, too?"
Ducky nodded. "QUAAACK~ Of course."
Renee found an accessory shop and picked out some children’s jewelry for Ducky.
"Happy now that you have a present?"
Ducky quacked with delight. "QUAAACK~ Happy~ So ha-quacky~"
"Ahem." Kian Cole cleared his throat and announced, "Renee and Michelle have both given out gifts. As the only gentleman present, I can’t fall behind."
"Oh?" A smile bloomed on Renee’s face. "Are you saying you’re giving us gifts too, Kian?"
Kian Cole nodded seriously. "Yes. But I’m not sure what would be a suitable gift, so could you all pick something out for yourselves?"
Just as he had, Renee graciously accepted. "We can do that."
She thought for a moment, then said, "You can get me a hat, too."
"Okay." Kian Cole nodded. He looked at the others, but his attention was really on Michelle Fuller. "What about the rest of you? Have you decided what you want?"
Michelle Fuller linked her arm through Renee’s and said sweetly, "In that case, I want a hat, too. The same one as Renee."
Hilary thought for a moment, then said, "I’ll get a pair of sunglasses, then. I can wear them to block the sun on my way to work."
"What about you, Addie?" Kian Cole asked, turning to her.
Seeing that the other three women had all openly stated what they wanted, Addie Sutton also said softly, "I’d like to buy an outfit. Is that okay?"
