The Villainess's Heartthrob Script: I Can Talk to Animals

Chapter 517: The Overbearing CEO Among Cats

Chapter 517: Chapter 517: The Overbearing CEO Among Cats

Renee Jennings stared at the orange and white cat on the screen, her slender brows furrowed slightly. Her eyes revealed a mix of helplessness and wry amusement.

’But then again,’ she thought, ’a cat is a cat. You can’t measure them by human emotional standards, let alone hold them to human morals.’

With this in mind, Renee Jennings calmly asked, "Chilli, did Bean tell you the kittens are too ugly and that he wants nothing to do with you anymore?"

"Meow~ Not exactly," Mama Pepper said, shaking her fluffy head. "Meow~ Bean just asked me why the kittens don’t look like him and why they’re so weird-looking."

’So, Mama Pepper was the one who interpreted Papa Black Bean’s words to mean the kittens were too ugly and he didn’t want anything to do with her anymore.’

Renee was still analyzing the situation when she recalled Mama Pepper’s full-throated cry, ’I have to give him a new litter of beautiful kittens!’

"..."

She stared at the three brindle kittens in the pink crate, silently hoping they couldn’t understand their mother’s words. ’How heartbroken they would be.’

"We still need to talk to Bean," Renee Jennings said, her tone serious. "He’s the crucial one here."

"Got it." SlimSnowflake set Mama Pepper down and began searching around with her phone. "Bean, where are you hiding? We have something to ask you, come on out!"

"Bean..."

SlimSnowflake kept calling, but there was no sign of Papa Black Bean.

"What if he won’t come out?" she said, sounding deflated and worried about wasting everyone’s time. "Maybe you should connect with another viewer first, streamer, and I’ll keep looking for Bean."

"It’s fine," Renee Jennings said softly. "Let me try calling him."

"Okay." SlimSnowflake quickly turned her phone’s volume all the way up.

Renee called out unhurriedly, "Bean, are you abandoning Chilli and the kittens?"

Her voice faded, and a strange silence fell over the room.

A gray-blue figure suddenly appeared, and Mama Pepper’s frantic voice rang out. "MEOW MEOW MEOW! What nonsense are you spouting? Bean would never abandon me!"

Papa Black Bean darted out from an unknown corner, paws planted firmly on the ground, his pair of golden eyes fixed on his owner’s phone.

’There’s a human in there,’ he thought. ’She seems powerful.’

"Bean, you finally showed up!" SlimSnowflake let out a sigh of relief.

[The streamer’s amazing. She got Bean to come out with just one sentence.]

[What can I say? Ms. Jennings just has that charm.]

[Wait, Bean is that handsome???]

[Isn’t that the cat of my dreams?]

[Why would such a chic cat be named Bean...]

"Meeeoww...," Mama Pepper whimpered pitifully. "Bean, what’s wrong? Why are you ignoring me? If you think the kittens are too ugly, I’ll give you a new, beautiful litter!"

Renee Jennings was speechless.

’Wow, she really is head over heels for him.’

Papa Black Bean was a pure-blue Maine Coon, and he was, without a doubt, a strikingly handsome cat. To put it in human terms, he was the type who’d be stopped on the street by a talent scout. No wonder Mama Pepper was so hopelessly in love.

Papa Black Bean’s appearance was exceptional. He was large and handsome, with deep, captivating golden eyes. The fur around his neck was soft and voluminous, like a magnificent cape.

Just by standing there, he exuded an air of majesty, nobility, and elegance.

’He was the domineering CEO of the feline world.’

Hearing Mama Pepper’s words, Papa Black Bean’s attitude remained cold and distant. "MEOW! No need. Go have kittens with some other cat."

"MEOW MEOW MEOW? Why? Why would you say that to me?" Mama Pepper was baffled, yet her devotion was unshaken. "I won’t have kittens with another cat! I’ll only have them with you, Bean!"

Hearing her words, a flicker of contempt and disdain crossed Papa Black Bean’s golden eyes. "I don’t believe you."

"Meow? What do you mean?" Mama Pepper was completely lost.

Renee Jennings also found Papa Black Bean’s attitude odd. "Bean, why don’t you believe Chilli?"

Papa Black Bean stated calmly, "MEOW! Because she betrayed me."

"Meow? Huh?" Mama Pepper still looked utterly clueless.

Renee Jennings pressed her lips together, her brow furrowed in thought.

’Why would Papa Black Bean say Mama Pepper betrayed him?’

[This is killing me, what are they saying?]

[Papa cat is so handsome, ahhh! I have a Maine Coon too, can I use him for stud services? I’ll pay!]

The silence stretched on. SlimSnowflake was so nervous she hardly dared to breathe, her hand gripping the phone so tightly it couldn’t even tremble.

In that time, Renee Jennings had also figured a few things out.

"Bean," she began slowly, "do you think those three kittens aren’t your children?"

Papa Black Bean’s sharp eyes locked onto Renee Jennings’s phone. "MEOW! Human, you’re exactly right. Those three cats are so ugly, there’s no way they could be my offspring."

"Meow meow? What does that mean?" Like a naive heroine from a romance story, Mama Pepper still hadn’t grasped the meaning of their words.

Renee had no choice but to explain. "It means Bean suspects you cheated on him. He thinks those three brindle kittens are yours and some stray tomcat’s."

"MEOW MEOW MEOW? What are you talking about?" Mama Pepper was completely floored. "That’s impossible! I only have kittens with Bean!"

"MEOW!" Papa Black Bean roared in anger. "Stop lying to me! I could never produce such ugly offspring! The truth is, you betrayed me!"

[What? Bean thinks Chilli cheated?]

[Hahaha, I never would have guessed this in a million years.]

[So, did Chilli cheat or not?]

[I can’t believe Bean’s mind went there. He’s smarter than some humans.]

"MEOW MEOW MEOW! I didn’t betray you, I really didn’t!" Mama Pepper was frantic. "Bean, please believe me, okay? Those ugly little kittens are really your babies!"

"That’s right," Renee Jennings added, her voice gentle. "Bean, you’ve misunderstood Chilli. She didn’t betray you."

Mama Pepper nodded her head vigorously. "MEOW MEOW MEOW! Yes, yes, yes, the human is right! Bean, you misunderstood me!"

"MEOW! Impossible! Absolutely impossible!" Papa Black Bean remained stubborn. "Those ugly little things look nothing like me. How could they be my offspring?"

"But they really are your kittens," Renee said calmly, explaining patiently. "You’re a solid blue Maine Coon, and Chilli is an orange and white cat. It’s perfectly normal for them to have kittens with a brindle pattern like this. They’re actually quite pretty."

She paused, a hint of laughter creeping into her voice as she teased, "Who knows, the next litter might be even uglier than this one."

"MEOW MEOW MEOW? For real?"

Papa Black Bean and Mama Pepper cried out in unison, their voices filled with disbelief.

"For real." Renee’s tone became serious again. "When two cats of different breeds have kittens, it’s like opening a blind box. You never know what kind of appearance you’re going to get."
