The Villainess's Heartthrob Script: I Can Talk to Animals

Chapter 554: Your Benefactor’s Birthday

Chapter 554: Chapter 554: Your Benefactor’s Birthday

Young Mr. Quinn watched Daisy Chapman pour the water and sighed inwardly in frustration.

’She really can’t compare to Anna. So classless.’

’I’m proposing to her, at a moment so full of ceremony and meaning, and all she can think about is drinking water?’

Young Mr. Quinn frowned, suppressing the flicker of displeasure in his heart. He smiled. "Daffy, of course it’s real. To me, you’re more important than my own life."

After pouring the water, Daisy Chapman didn’t drink it.

She looked at Young Mr. Quinn and let out a slightly mocking laugh. "Then would you die for me?"

The smile on Young Mr. Quinn’s face suddenly froze. "Daffy, why are you suddenly saying things like that?"

Daisy Chapman looked down at the ring, a playful smirk on her face. "Was this ring really custom-ordered for me six months in advance?"

"Yes." Young Mr. Quinn took Daisy Chapman’s hand again. "Are you doubting my sincerity?"

"Then try putting it on me."

"Daffy, will you marry me?" Young Mr. Quinn gazed at her with deep affection.

"Of course," Daisy Chapman said with a sweet smile.

Young Mr. Quinn’s lips curled into a satisfied smile. "Good."

He took Daisy Chapman’s hand and tried to slide the ring onto her ring finger, but it got stuck at the knuckle.

It was obvious the ring was too small.

Daisy Chapman’s gaze turned cold, the sarcasm in her voice growing more pronounced. "When you custom-ordered the ring, didn’t you use my size?"

Of course not. Young Mr. Quinn had ordered it in Anna’s size.

"Of course I did," he told Daisy Chapman. "The studio must have made a mistake."

"Is that so." Daisy Chapman nodded. "Then hurry up and call them. Ask them how this should be handled."

"It’s fine, no rush." Young Mr. Quinn put the ring away and said gently, "I’ll take you to the jewelry counter right now to buy whichever one you like."

Daisy Chapman picked up the ring and examined it. "It’s gorgeous. Was it ordered for that woman named Anna?"

Young Mr. Quinn’s expression froze. A look of astonishment filled his eyes, and the corner of his mouth twitched uncontrollably. "Daffy, what are you talking about? I don’t understand what you mean."

Daisy Chapman dropped the ring into the water glass, swirled it a few times, and then raised it above Young Mr. Quinn’s head—

With a flick of her wrist, the ice-cold water and the ring came SPLASHING down, soaking the man’s hair. Droplets ran down the strands, dampening his shoulders.

Young Mr. Quinn stared at Daisy Chapman in shock. "What is the meaning of this?"

"You’re a real bastard." Daisy Chapman slammed the glass back on the table. She stood up to leave, but feeling it wasn’t enough, she turned back and slapped him hard across the face.

Her own hand was left tingling and a little sore from the impact.

"Daisy Chapman, you stop right there!" Young Mr. Quinn’s voice was thick with fury, laced with the intensity of gritted teeth. "Explain yourself!"

Daisy Chapman reached the doorway and paused, then sneered, "You like Anna so much, why don’t you go on being her Number Three? Let’s break up. I’m not interested in someone else’s Number Three."

After saying her piece, she pulled open the door to the private room and walked out in her high heels.

Water droplets were still trickling down from Young Mr. Quinn’s hair. He couldn’t figure out how Daisy Chapman knew about it.

When Daisy Chapman got home, the first thing she did was tell Renee Jennings the news.

When she received the private message, Renee Jennings happened to be drinking at Sylvia Brooks’s house.

"I have good news," Renee Jennings said, lifting her wine glass, her eyes crinkling with a smile. "Daisy Chapman broke up with her boyfriend. Poured a glass of water on him and gave him a slap."

"That is good news indeed." Sylvia Brooks was the first to clink glasses with Renee Jennings. "I’m happy for her."

Michelle Fuller also looked delighted. "In that case, I’m having another glass to celebrate Daffy getting away from that scumbag!"

Serena Tucker also raised her glass with a smile. "You really do need your girls in this world."

"Yes, you do," Sylvia Brooks agreed with a nod.

「In the blink of an eye, summer vacation quietly came to an end.」

Early in the morning, Renee Jennings, Diana Jennings, and their mother, Rhea Dempsey, took Zane and Jasmine to kindergarten together.

Diana Jennings had taken the day off, not only to take the two kids to kindergarten but also because it was Renee Jennings’s birthday.

After leaving the kindergarten, they found a restaurant for breakfast, where Rhea Dempsey ordered a bowl of longevity noodles for Renee Jennings.

"Mom’s paying in a bit, so don’t you two fight me for the bill," Rhea Dempsey told her two daughters in advance.

"Alright," Renee Jennings said with a slight smile. "We’ll let you have your moment today."

Diana Jennings served her a bowl of noodles and handed it to her, smiling. "I’ve already ordered the cake."

"Thanks, Sis," Renee Jennings said, beaming.

After breakfast, Renee Jennings picked up her phone and saw several WeChat messages.

Everyone was wishing her a happy birthday.

She smiled and replied to each one.

Sunlight streamed through the massive floor-to-ceiling windows onto the spotless marble floor. Michelle Fuller was sitting cross-legged on a soft rug, preparing a birthday gift for Renee Jennings.

She had bought five hundred grams of gold to personally DIY a one-of-a-kind bouquet of golden flowers.

Of course, that wasn’t the only gift.

Sean Fuller watched from the side, a little green with envy. He couldn’t help but ask, "Sis, for my birthday, can you make a bouquet like this for me too?"

"In your dreams," Michelle Fuller rejected him without even looking up.

"But I’m your actual brother," Sean Fuller persisted, not giving up. He was about to say more, but his WeChat suddenly buzzed several times.

"Hot date?" Michelle Fuller looked up at him and added a reminder, "Whoever it is, you have to turn them down. Today is your savior’s birthday, you know."

"I know, I know," Sean Fuller said, amused. "You’ve been nagging me about it all day, how could I forget? Besides, even if you didn’t nag me, I’d still remember."

With that, he took out his phone. Seeing the message from Yvonne Morgan, a flicker of surprise crossed his brow.

’What a coincidence, it’s her birthday too?’

Sean Fuller thought for a moment, then typed a reply: [Yvonne, happy birthday. Sorry, it’s my parents’ birthday today, so I have to be there. I’ll have to celebrate with you and get you a gift some other time. Have fun.]

When Yvonne Morgan saw his message, a flash of displeasure crossed her face. She replied with just a few words: [Okay, thank you.]

Sean Fuller had already started picking out a birthday gift for Yvonne Morgan.

’I’ll buy her a bag.’

’There isn’t a girl alive who doesn’t love bags.’

While Sean Fuller was picking out the bag, Michelle Fuller finished the golden bouquet.

"Perfect." She admired her own work, feeling more and more satisfied the longer she looked.

The more Sean Fuller looked, the more envious he felt. "I really want a golden bouquet too."

"Stop being so sour about it," Michelle Fuller said languidly. "If you like it so much, take a good long look now."

Sean Fuller: "..."

’That’s my sister, alright.’

Michelle Fuller stretched, had some coffee brought over, and was finally in the mood to gossip. "What gift did you get for Renee?"

"Hmph." Sean Fuller lifted his chin proudly. "That’s a secret. I can’t let you know."

Michelle Fuller rolled her eyes. "Tch, as if I’m dying to know."
