Chapter 2531: Chapter 2315: Let Me Handle It_3

After the patient left, Feng Huihui’s face dropped again as she looked at Chen Xue.

"Go close the door." Feng Huihui jerked her lips toward the office door.

Chen Xue stood up with a sullen face and went over to close the office door.

"What, you’ve got a problem with me?" Feng Huihui asked Chen Xue.

"No." Chen Xue said no, but her discontent was written all over her face.

"No, then what were you yelling at me for just now?" The moment Feng Huihui heard her say no and saw her shrug, her tone instantly hardened.

Chen Xue said nothing.

"With a patient here, what are you doing arguing with me? This patient happens to have a good temper. If it were one of those unreasonable ones and they started making a scene, how would you deal with it?" Feng Huihui used the patient to pressure Chen Xue.

Chen Xue kept her head down and still didn’t speak.

"I’m your mentor. Your internship grade is up to me. You understand what I’m saying?" Feng Huihui laid it out to Chen Xue directly.

"I understand." Hearing that, Chen Xue finally backed down.

"Hmph." Feng Huihui couldn’t help but snort coldly in her mind.

"You’ll sit in with me this afternoon." Feng Huihui said.

"Okay."

"Bring my food over."

Chen Xue brought the meal over and set it in front of Feng Huihui.

Feng Huihui was not the least bit polite, eating right there in the office, not mentioning payment for the meal at all.

In the afternoon, a patient came in. Feng Huihui personally took the patient’s pulse. After feeling it for a while, she turned to Chen Xue and said, "You examine the patient and write a prescription for me to see."

"Okay." With no choice, Chen Xue steeled herself and walked over to the patient to take the pulse.

After all, Chen Xue was just like Lu Yaobing, both of them had only just entered their sophomore year of medical school. Unlike Lu Yaobing, she wasn’t self?driven and didn’t have a flashy master guiding her from behind. So having Chen Xue diagnose the patient and write a prescription was basically forcing an untrained duck up onto the rack.

Of course, that was exactly the effect Feng Huihui wanted. She had deliberately picked a patient with a very complicated condition, extremely difficult to diagnose.

Chen Xue went through the motions feeling the patient’s pulse. She’d been at it for quite a while and still couldn’t make sense of it. Everything she’d learned in class was pure theory; she didn’t have any real experience with pulse diagnosis. She hadn’t even memorized all the common diseases in Traditional Chinese Medicine, never mind the subtypes of each pattern and their corresponding pulse manifestations.

So Chen Xue could only pick a disease that seemed closest to the patient’s situation and grit her teeth to write out a prescription.

Luckily, Feng Huihui hadn’t directly asked Chen Xue to state what the patient’s condition actually was, or she would have been exposed on the spot.

Chapter 2317 Making Your School Lose Face

Chen Xue picked up paper and pen, pretended to write out a prescription, then handed it to Feng Huihui, her mood anxious and uneasy.

Tilting her head and squinting, Feng Huihui sized Chen Xue up from head to toe, then took the prescription from her and lowered her head, putting on her glasses to study it.

Feng Huihui had barely glanced down twice before anger immediately flooded her face.

"Bang!" She slammed the table hard, making the water cup on the desk almost tumble to the floor.

"You dare give a patient a prescription like this? Do you even understand herb compatibility?" Ignoring whether the patient was still there, Feng Huihui lashed out viciously at Chen Xue.

Chen Xue kept her head down and didn’t say a word.

Because this time, Feng Huihui’s criticism wasn’t wrong.

The prescription was indeed incorrect, but this was of course deliberate. Feng Huihui knew perfectly well that Chen Xue was just a second?year medical student who hadn’t even finished her theoretical courses yet, with absolutely no practical experience. Forcing her to take pulses and write prescriptions for a real patient was simply making things impossible.

"What have you even learned at school? Look at the drugs you wrote down yourself!" Furious, Feng Huihui flung Chen Xue’s prescription straight onto the floor.

"If everyone treated patients the way you do, it’d be a miracle if they didn’t get eaten alive!"

"You’re a disgrace to your school! A disgrace to your major! With your level, you’re supposedly the student with the best course grades in your class?"

Feng Huihui cursed Chen Xue out so harshly it was like flaying her alive.

But Chen Xue didn’t notice one detail: that a mere attending physician in the hospital somehow knew so much about the situation in her class.

That obviously wasn’t a coincidence.

"You haven’t even memorized pharmacology and drug properties?"

"You can’t read pulse images? This is such an obvious case of uterine cold, and you couldn’t feel it?"

"What do you do at school all day? Just know how to hook up with boyfriends, right?"

"What was your class adviser thinking, sending you here?"

"Totally wasting such a rare opportunity!"

"You’d better not study medicine anymore. Don’t become some quack out there. What if you kill someone?"

Once Feng Huihui started scolding, she couldn’t stop. She berated Chen Xue until her head was bowed and tears were swirling in her eyes.

The patient on the side felt that Feng Huihui was going too far. Seeing this little girl looking so pitiful, the patient stepped in to mediate and said to Feng Huihui, "Physician, don’t be so angry. The girl is still young after all, she still needs to learn. Physician, don’t be too angry, just criticize her a bit and let it go. Look at her, she’s about to cry from being chewed out. That means she’s learned her lesson."

"Learned what lesson? I’m scolding you for your own good. When you really start treating patients, what if they end up with problems from your prescriptions? Do you have any idea how serious doctor?patient disputes are these days? You really don’t know a thing?" Feng Huihui continued to berate Chen Xue.
