Chapter 2832 - 2833: For Love

Chapter 2832: Chapter 2833: For Love

Inside Qingkong Poetry Room.

Adanis watched helplessly as Angel destroyed the Maneater Flower, terrifying the Infant Spirits into motionlessness, and then, using a peculiar Defense Spell, led those humans through the Red Wax area one group after another.

When everyone passed through the Red Wax and Weaving Net, Adanis had come to a complete realization.

Infant Spirits, violated the contract.

She didn’t know what power made the Infant Spirits lack the courage to attack Angel, but now it was pointless to reprimand them.

Soon, the Infant Spirits would be locked in the Mirror Domain and eventually fall into the Sea of Void Mirror. Whether they were smart or foolish, in the Sea of Void Mirror, they would be completely disassembled, disappearing in the rolling tides.

Adanis no longer paid attention to the Infant Spirits, but her gaze was fixed on Angel.

"Absolutely! Absolutely must not let him in!" Adanis murmured lowly, with unmatched determination.

If the Infant Spirits couldn’t stop him, then she would do it herself!

Facing the enigmatic Angel, Adanis felt a hint of apprehension. However, she was prepared for a fate akin to the Infant Spirits.

Moreover, she didn’t believe Olao would stand by and watch something happen to her.

If Olao took action, would he still want to side with Angel?

Even if it meant making Olao hate her, she would not allow Olao to stand on the same side as Angel. She wouldn’t permit such a thing to happen, even if it meant sacrificing herself.

Watching Angel and his companions approach the Qingkong Poetry Room, Adanis knew it was time to act.

She extended her hand slightly, and a mirror erected itself in the dark air.

In the slow corridor outside the Qingkong Poetry Room, there were many reflective surfaces, and with a mere thought, Adanis could traverse them.

Without hesitation, Adanis descended slowly from mid-air, creating ripples with every step.

Accompanied by the crisp sound of her soles hitting the ground, the mirror’s reflection revealed the half-exposed alabaster toes and wood-decorated high heels wrapped in vines.

Instinctively, Adanis extended her foot, ready to step into the mirror.

But to her surprise, her foot collided directly with the mirror.

With a series of loud and crashing sounds, the mirror shattered into fragments, falling to the ground.

Adanis was stunned for a moment before bending down to pick up a fragment from the ground.

As she looked at the pitch-black fragment, devoid of any sheen, entirely unrelated to a mirror, Adanis suddenly understood.

--This was definitely Olao’s doing!

Only Olao could seal her mirror channel in the Qingkong Poetry Room!

Adanis’s gaze suddenly turned cold, her ominous eyes fixed intently on the broken glass fragments, as if trying to see through them at the man she both loved and resented.

Clearly, she did it for Olao, for him to no longer become someone else’s captive, for him to be free from the constraints of this small space. Yet, why did Olao want to stop her!

Adanis clenched her fists, taking deep breaths, the deep hollow of her exposed neck evident, revealing the intensity of her anger.

"I refuse to believe you’ve blocked all the mirrors!"

Adanis roared in anger, soaring upward, where her skirt brushed past, where her fingers pointed, where her gaze focused, a massive number of mirrors continually emerged.

Square, circular, triangular, and irregular shapes; prisms, water mirrors, colored glaze mirrors, metal mirrors... Countless mirrors manifested around Adanis.

As these mirrors materialized, Adanis summoned a bright and dazzling ball of light from her palm.

The ball of light, like a miniature sun, slowly rose, illuminating the entirety of the mirror-filled space.

But, much to Adanis’s frustration, no matter how bright the light was, it couldn’t penetrate these mirrors. These mirrors seemed to all turn into pitch-black abysses that absorbed the light source, no longer reflecting back, only endless darkness, and a faint mist.

This mist was the "source of trouble" for sealing the mirror passages.

It was a special ability to close mirror channels.

Adanis also possessed this ability, but she couldn’t dispel the mist on the mirror.

It’s not that her power was insufficient, but here, in the Qingkong Poetry Room, Olao was recognized as the "administrator," possessing higher authority than Adanis.

When Olao prohibited mirror passages in Qingkong Poetry Room, no one could dispel the mist. Even if Adanis was much stronger than Olao, it was impossible.

This was the rule of Qingkong Poetry Room, and Olao’s authority as manager.

Adanis clenched her hands, and all the mirrors around her vanished.

Since the mirror passages were forbidden, no matter how she tried, it was impossible to break through Olao’s blockade.

However, Adanis wasn’t completely without options. The management authority of Qingkong Poetry Room was indeed in Olao’s hands, but the management authority of the Magical Energy Array outside the Qingkong Poetry Room was in her hands.

She acquired it through a transaction with the Wise Sovereign.

Originally, Adanis sought the management authority of the Magical Energy Array near Qingkong Poetry Room simply to prevent outsiders from disturbing him.

The outsiders referred to here were naturally the Wise Sovereign, even the Triclops family.

But now, she could use the Magical Energy Array to make a final judgment on Angel and his companions.

"I didn’t want to use the Magical Energy Array, but you forced me." Adanis exhaled deeply, closed her eyes, and her spiritual power immersed into the Magical Energy Array.

Meanwhile, Olao, waiting at the door of Qingkong Poetry Room, turned around, looking in the direction of the room where Adanis was, and sighed softly.

"Obsession, delusion." Olao abandoned his usual flippancy and muttered softly, "I told you before, just wait a little longer, wait a little longer, see her first, then leave... Why were you so impatient?"

Olao’s eyes became somewhat blurred, as if recalling that night ten thousand years ago.

He sat within the frame, mimicking a gentleman. And that person sat at the long table, looking towards him.

"I don’t understand." said the gentleman in the frame, who was Olao.

The young and handsome Wizard replied with a lazy smile, "Of course you don’t understand, you’re too young. If you understood love already, I’d have to question whether I added something I shouldn’t have when I created you."

"But won’t you truly wait a little longer? I’ve already seen the Spirit Light in that mirror flickering, ready to give birth to Spirit Intelligence at any time." Olao said.

The Wizard maintained a careless and relaxed demeanor, "That’s why you’re here, isn’t it?"

"Moreover, if you ask me to wait, that waiting might last decades, even centuries. I can’t wait, and neither can Margaret."

Olao: "So all of this is for love?"

The Wizard replied with a smile, "Of course."

After speaking, the Wizard closed his eyes and indulged in reciting a love poem.

The love poem was his own creation, the quality... Olao had no face to critique.

After reciting the love poem, the Wizard stood up, turning his back on Olao, "For love, for my Margaret."

"Thank you, Olao. Trust me, I will return soon, and I’ll bring your brother back with me. By then, perhaps the Spirit Intelligence in the other mirror hasn’t even emerged yet~"

Olao: "What if it has already been born?"

The Wizard walked towards the door of the Qingkong Poetry Room while responding, "If it is destined to be born, then let it be born."

The grand doors of the Qingkong Poetry Room were pushed open, and the light from outside streamed in.

The Wizard suddenly paused and turned back to look at Olao.

"By the way, if it really is born, let’s name it Adanis." When the Wizard said this, he smiled, an incredibly beautiful smile: "Let me secretly tell you, this is the name of the heroine from a love novel Margaret wrote when she was a child."

"Can you guess the name of the male protagonist in that love novel?"

Olao: "I don’t want to guess; I just want you to come back soon."

Wizard: "How dull, never mind, I’m leaving. Olao, you need to grow too; I hope to see a changed you when I return."

Saying this, the Wizard walked out through the brightly lit door.

His silhouette disappeared into the backlight. At that moment, the afterglow of the backlight was etched deep into Olao’s memory.

From that moment on, Olao began waiting for his return, but for millennia, he never appeared again.

"When it comes to love, I still don’t understand." Olao shook his head, murmuring softly to himself.

Olao stopped dwelling on that man and instead looked toward where Adanis was.

"Look at Adanis, is this the result you wanted? If you returned, brother returned, and saw Adanis like this, he’d surely be unhappy."

"Is it my fault? Is it because I haven’t disciplined her enough that it led to today’s result?"

Olao suddenly questioned whether he had truly been too nonchalant and indulgent in the past? Is it too late to start re-educating now?

This thought flashed through Olao’s mind for just a moment, disappearing like a shooting star. Because whether it’s too late to discipline Adanis is a matter for the future.

Right now, the most important thing is, do those people outside have a way to pass through Adanis’ Magical Energy Array?

Olao could prohibit Adanis from using the mirror channel, but he couldn’t stop her from controlling the Magical Energy Array outside.

Olao now suddenly regretted not warning Angel and the others then to guard against the Wise Sovereign because he knew Adanis wouldn’t take losing graciously.

If the Wise Sovereign could help, at least the Magical Energy Array wouldn’t be a worry.

Olao sighed, must he now go and ask the Wise Sovereign for help?

"Sigh, I suppose I must make the trip." Olao didn’t mind anything else now; if Angel and the others survived the Infant Spirits stage, it meant they had passed the tests Olao acknowledged, and he might indeed be the one he’s been waiting for.

Adanis adding a Magical Energy Array test was beyond Olao’s expectations, so it must be stopped at all costs.

The solution Olao thought of was to seek the Wise Sovereign.

Only the Wise Sovereign possessed the control core of the Underground Aqueduct Magical Energy Array, who could stop Adanis’ madness...

But just as Olao was about to set off.

A startled voice reached his ears: "Impossible! Why! Why!"

The voice belonged to Adanis.

Olao stopped walking, turning to look down the corridor with curiosity. Seeing the sight, he suddenly smiled.

Adanis’ most intimidating ability is a legacy from Margaret—the Magical Energy Array.

Though Adanis isn’t yet able to wield the Magical Energy Array as effortlessly as Margaret to alter the heavens and earth, her proficiency is definitely top-notch. Even the Wise Sovereign, with control over the core of the Underground Aqueduct Magical Energy Array, had to request Adanis’ help when it was sabotaged.

This has also become a trump card for Adanis to constrain the Wise Sovereign.

And now, the young man Olao valued, wielding nothing more than an External Array Disk in each hand, nonchalantly warded off Adanis’ numerous obstructions.

Though Olao had been prepared to call for reinforcements, witnessing this sight filled his heart with joy.

If even Adanis’ Magical Energy Array could be countered, there is no doubt the person coming is the one destined!

It absolutely must be!

Olao’s previous worried expression disappeared, and he quietly stood at the Qingkong Poetry Room’s door, awaiting the arrival of Angel and the others.

However, Adanis now burst out from the inner chamber.

She saw Olao standing at the entrance but paid no attention, instead attempting to dash past the door to rush outside.

But before Adanis could break through the door, Olao stopped her.

"Move aside," Adanis restrained her anger, addressing Olao with a suppressed voice.

Olao: "In the Material Realm, you can’t defeat them."

Adanis turned, staring intently into Olao’s eyes: "Then release the mirror channel!"

Olao: "Do you believe in fate?"

Adanis had already prepared for a confrontation with Olao unexpectedly, her train of thought derailed by his sudden change in topic and cryptic statement.

"I don’t believe in fate."

Olao: "Do you trust me?"

Adanis remained silent for a moment: "I can believe you. But, if you speak to me of fate, I can only scoff."

Olao: "Fate is a beautiful façade, a concept adorned. Beneath fate lies the tumultuous truth of countless undercurrents."

"Truth is inherently truth, unshakeable. Fate merely coats the truth with a layer of fantasy."

Adanis: "What exactly are you trying to say?"

Olao: "I mean to say, if you truly trust me and care for me, then show me the truth. Do you think I willingly accept the fate of eternal waiting? No, I don’t wish it either."

"I also don’t want to eternally bear the burden left by Augustine, I too wish to see the world beyond, to search for the sibling separated by millennia."

"Yet I cannot lay down this burden now."

Adanis: "I can help you, as long as I..."

Olao: "I’ve given you millennia, lenient with your every act, yet you’ve seen as well, my state remains unchanged."

"As long as the covenant remains, I cannot leave here for even a step."

Adanis: "I can try to annihilate the current Naraku City, using the name of the Mirror Demon God; I can summon those believers back..."

Olao shook his head: "Destruction solves nothing, only letting latent crises erupt. Do you know why the Witcher Organization that attacked Naraku City didn’t end up destroying it, but left a shell here? Because they discovered a massive hidden threat Naraku left behind."

"Imagine what kind of a person Naraku was. Regardless of whether his actions were right, his mere existence threatened much of the Wizards’ Realm. One can only imagine the consequences if his buried landmines were detonated."

"This isn’t something I concocted; you can ask the Wise Sovereign. You know, I’m cautious of that Triclops Blue Demon because of its wisdom and ambition; you might find my words alarmist; would you believe his instead?"

"Your so-called destruction would only trigger potential hazards, affecting even those hiding in the Mirror Domain. Besides, my covenant prevents me from dodging this threat."

Olao: "Therefore, I seek answers from these people, while also wishing to see my escape route."

"...And your future."
