Chapter 3318 - 3319: Reactions of the Various Clans

Chapter 3318: Chapter 3319: Reactions of the Various Clans

When Glaipnir announced that she was a member of the "Dream Mirror", she didn’t need to see it with her own eyes to know that all the clans were probably in an uproar because of this identity.

After all, Glaipnir had always been known as an "independent Astrologer".

All the major clans had thought of recruiting her, and even some Mirror Dragons who didn’t know the inside story had considered recruiting her. But in the end, Glaipnir refused them all.

And she always used the same excuse: "I don’t like being constrained."

She didn’t like shackles, didn’t want to be bound, so she preferred to become a lone Astrologer rather than join any clan or organization.

If Glaipnir only refused small and medium-sized settlements, she would probably become a target; but if she refused even the top clans, she became a very valuable neutral identity in the eyes of all the clans.

A neutral identity meant that she could move among many age-old rival clans without worrying about being envied by the other side. She became a mediator among many parties.

For instance, she could associate with the Queen of Tooth Fairy Paradise and also chat with the Mirror Sea Scholar of the Ancient Ruins of Tooth Fairy.

This kind of situation, unimaginable for other clans, was only possible for her.

It was because Glaipnir had no ideology, no stance, possessing an independent and valuable neutral identity.

But now, Glaipnir had clearly stated that she was a member of the "Dream Mirror".

Does this mean that Glaipnir will abandon her neutral identity and begin to have her own ideology?

After all, in the eyes of all clans, the stance of the organization far outweighs the stance of the individual. Just like racial righteousness often outweighs individual thought, it’s a tide and flow, a single fragile person cannot resist it.

Although the clans still don’t know what "Dream Mirror" truly means, since Glaipnir joined the "Dream Mirror", the stance of the "Dream Mirror" will surely override Glaipnir’s personal stance.

And with Glaipnir having a stance, she would no longer be able to stay neutral.

All the above, Glaipnir didn’t need to witness with her own eyes; she could just imagine it all in her head.

However, even if Glaipnir knew she would be seen as having a stance, she wouldn’t care... Her past neutral identity wasn’t something she actively pursued, but rather something the clans happened to need—a mediator, a messenger—so they elevated her to this high position.

But Glaipnir herself didn’t care at all about this so-called stance issue.

If one were to delve into it, she actually had expressed stances before. For instance, because of Gutalace, she openly stated her dislike for the Changhuo Clan, which in itself was a very clear stance.

Yet, to shape her neutral image, the clans deliberately ignored such explicit stances, glossing over them to elevate her onto the altar of "The Neutral One".

In truth, Glaipnir wasn’t that kind of person at all.

A newborn child, or an Empty-hearted Person—how could any sentient being possibly have no stance?

The identity of the Neutral One was merely a crown forcefully placed on her head, and now even if it was taken back, she didn’t care at all.

Besides, just from the position alone, would the identity of "The Neutral One" be higher than the identity of "Temporal Body of Laplace"? The answer is obviously no.

With that being the case, why should she care about it?

After Glaipnir finished speaking in her usual way, she glanced sideways at the Heat Index Column...

The collapse of the divine position of the Neutral One had its benefits. Glaipnir thought to herself: at least, the Heat Index Column is rising rapidly.

In just a short sentence, the Heat Index Column broke through 80% and headed for 85%. In Glaipnir’s view, this was one of the few benefits.

After withdrawing her gaze, Glaipnir did not continue discussing the "Dream Mirror". Often, it’s enough to just touch upon a topic; she believed that after today, the clans present would all have an impression of "Dream Mirror".

First leave an impression, later wait for disaster to strike, then add structure.

Glaipnir paused for a moment and began to get to the main topic, starting to explain the "Log-in Device".

...

And with Glaipnir’s narration, the reactions of the various clans varied.

Deep within the Crystal City, in a bright room as clear as daylight and filled with floating Crystal Dust, an elder of the Crystal Eye Clan in elder robes was looking at Glaipnir on the main display stage through a mirror.

Upon hearing Glaipnir’s self-narration, the Crystal Eye Clan elder slowly clasped their hands over their cane, frowning as if contemplating something.

At this moment, the surface of the mirror displaying the main stage content suddenly bulged into a human face.

The mirror like mercury, with the undulating human face, looked like a two-dimensional life form on the verge of upgrading dimensions, struggling to break through the constraints of three dimensions... it looked extremely horrifying.

However, the Crystal Eye Clan elder seemed accustomed to this, their expression unchanging, simply said: "House Spirit, why do you come to me instead of supervising the Changhuo Clan?"

The face on the mirror seemed unsatisfied with being called "House Spirit", complaining: "Don’t look at me with a thousand-year-old view. I’m not a little House Spirit now; I’m Giant City Spirit, Giant City Spirit!"

The Crystal Eye Clan elder replied indifferently, "If you think you’re Giant City Spirit, then be a Giant City Spirit."

The elder’s tone remained reluctant, which left the Giant City Spirit somewhat dissatisfied, but as an old acquaintance, it understood the elder’s mindset and didn’t bother to correct further. Instead, it posed the question lingering in its heart to this esteemed Sage of the Crystal Eye Clan.

Giant City Spirit: "Has Glaipnir started to have an ideology too?"

The Crystal Eye Clan elder did not answer directly, but said: "Is this why you came to see me instead of monitoring the Changhuo Clan?"

The Giant City Spirit raised an eyebrow: "Besides that old, cunning member of the Changhuo Clan, everyone is under my supervision."

The Giant City Spirit didn’t specify who the "old, cunning member of the Changhuo Clan" was, but the Crystal Eye Clan elder obviously understood its meaning, softly saying: "As long as you know what’s important."

After a pause, the Crystal Eye Clan elder finally began to answer the Giant City Spirit’s earlier question: "Glaipnir has always had an ideology; it was just deliberately overlooked before."

Upon finishing, the Crystal Eye Clan elder looked up at the Giant City Spirit: "Why are you so concerned about her?"

"Concerned?" The Giant City Spirit shook its head: "No, no, no, I’m just pondering whether now that she has the ’Dream Mirror’ organization, we might engage with her in the name of the Crystal Kingdom."

"Engage..." The Crystal Eye Clan elder looked deeply at the Giant City Spirit: "Engage in what?"

The Giant City Spirit lowered its eyes: "For example, have her divine where my future lover is now?"

The Crystal Eye Clan elder gave a soft sneer at the Giant City Spirit’s answer.

The elder knew the Giant City Spirit often complained about being single and wished for a companion; but he was well aware that it was merely the Giant City Spirit’s catchphrase.

The Giant City Spirit suddenly talking about "divining a lover" was obviously not genuine.

His true purpose is likely connected to that person. However, whenever inquiries are made about that person, the Giant City Spirit always remains silent... Perhaps this is also a back door left by that person when establishing the Crystal City?

"If you really want to divine a lover, then I can try to contact Glaipnir later." The Elder of the Crystal Eye Clan didn’t expose the Giant City Spirit, but instead followed along with his words: "But you also know, Glaipnir has a close relationship with Hiluda, and Hiluda’s grandson..."

The Elder of the Crystal Eye Clan didn’t continue, but the Giant City Spirit clearly understood the underlying meaning, he paused and said: "That’s why I mentioned contacting Dream Mirror, instead of directly reaching out to Glaipnir."

When Glaipnir is alone, winning her over is very difficult; she always does as she pleases.

But if Glaipnir has an organization, then it’s entirely possible to facilitate exchanges between organizations to achieve matters previously hard to attain.

The premise, however, is that Glaipnir is willing to follow the arrangements of the high level of the "Dream Mirror" organization.

Elder of the Crystal Eye Clan: "That can work too, we’ll contact you later."

The Giant City Spirit didn’t continue to pursue this topic, as long as there’s agreement to contact.

Giant City Spirit: "Speaking of which, Glaipnir is representing Dream Mirror this time; what will she demonstrate?"

The Elder of the Crystal Eye Clan replied calmly: "Log-in Device."

The Giant City Spirit asked with some doubt: "What is that?"

"Not quite sure." The Elder of the Crystal Eye Clan paused: "However, the Pika Sage contacted me earlier, advising me not to miss the Log-in Device. Although some of the research by the Pika Sage isn’t to my liking, they have always had a good judgment."

Giant City Spirit: "It seems, the Log-in Device might be worth looking forward to?"

The Elder of the Crystal Eye Clan nodded gently: "We’ll know as we see it."

As his voice fell, Glaipnir happened to mention the "Log-in Device," and as she narrated, both the Giant City Spirit and the Elder of the Crystal Eye Clan fell into contemplation...

Besides the Crystal Eye Clan, there were many other clans paying attention to Glaipnir’s actions, just each focusing on different aspects.

For example, the Turuls stationed in Turuga City, their focus was on Glaipnir’s divination ability.

Their thoughts coincided with the Giant City Spirit.

Previously when Glaipnir acted solo, seeking divination from her depended entirely on her mood.

The Turuls had also sought Glaipnir for divination help, but she completely ignored them. Now that Glaipnir has an organization, might it be possible to speak through an organization and request her for divination assistance?

The Turuls have wandered in the Daylight Mirror Domain for thousands of years, yearning to return to their ancestral homeland... rather than merely relying on dandelions to commemorate lost memories...

Although they’ve already enlisted the Everything House for aid, without memories, finding the past proved too difficult.

Now the only hope seems to rest on using the mysticism of divination to seek the homeland.

Hence, the Turuls had no interest in various things Glaipnir stated, focusing their entire mind on how to interact with the high level of the "Dream Mirror."

Apart from the Crystal Eye Clan, Turuls, there were the Rongshi Clan, Changhuo Clan, citizens of the City of Hot Gold, priests of the Everstanding King City... and more, all silently watching Glaipnir.

Though most focused on her divination, fewer showed genuine interest in the Log-in Device.

Only the Head Mirror Clan, Mirror Dragon Clan, Yusen and Singer Clan expressed great interest in the Log-in Device.

The Head Mirror Clan, being a consciousness stream race, was immensely curious upon hearing Glaipnir mention consciousness entering another realm.

To know, the Head Mirror Clan is actually attempting to create a unique space for consciousness coexistence.

And what Glaipnir mentioned about the Log-in Device accessing the Crystal Origin of Dreams is essentially an advancement into the consciousness space—an awareness world.

Even the Head Mirror Clan hasn’t reached such heights, yet a non-consciousness stream race managed to research it?

They are very much aware of the technical challenges involved in creating a consciousness world.

Hence, they hold immense curiosity about Glaipnir and the technology possessed by the "Dream Mirror" behind her.

The Head Mirror Clan’s interest in the Log-in Device was expected.

The Mirror Dragon Clan’s curiosity towards the Log-in Device was anticipated too, because Kukurus had already logged into the Crystal Origin of Dreams; although reluctant to admit, they knew the Crystal Origin of Dreams has great potential.

Thus, when Kukurus paid attention to the Log-in Device, other Mirror Dragons naturally followed suit, similar to how the Dragons-Crow Clan learned from Jasmine’s human image. Kukurus, as the possessor of the Dragon God’s mark, led a significant trend, possibly even larger than Jasmine’s.

Station point of the Hundred-Dragon Divine Kingdom, within Cloud Cave.

Kukurus gazed quietly at the screen, watching Glaipnir present on stage.

Currently, Kukurus maintained the dragon form, yet transformed into a Mini Dragon only about two meters tall.

The reason is... Kukurus’s side happens to have an elegant lady of similar height, savoring hot tea.

Presenting purely in human form, yet possessing the dragon’s aura, indisputably, she is Jasmine.

Or rather, she is Jasmine’s temporal body.

Jasmine’s true form had just stepped down from the main display stage, yet hadn’t returned to the Hundred-Dragon Divine Kingdom station; but Jasmine’s temporal body remained in Cloud Cave, watching the performance with Kukurus.

Jasmine took a sip of tea and turned to look at Kukurus.

In dragon form, Kukurus’s expressions made it difficult to gauge its mood; but within its eyes was full of contemplation.

Even perceiving Kukurus’s preoccupied thoughts, Jasmine showed no concern for the dragon’s internal reflections, focusing instead on another matter...

Jasmine lowered her gaze to Kukurus’s feet; originally, a black dragon shadow should be there, yet unknowingly Kukurus’s shadow merged with the mist within Cloud Cave.

In other words, Kukurus’s shadow vanished.

Jasmine watched the scene with keen interest.

The Dragons-Crow Clan possesses naturally adept manipulation of shadow and darkness, with rumors suggesting Dragons-Crow were born from the Shadow of the Divine Country. As the current leader of the Dragons-Crow Clan, Jasmine clearly engaged deeply with darkness and shadow. Although more adept in dark-related abilities, she also understood shadow considerably.

She knew well that Kukurus was currently using some shadow-related ability... but as far as she knew, Kukurus had never interacted with shadow power before.

An entity that had previously never engaged with shadow capabilities; why suddenly began comprehending shadow power?
