Chapter 285: Chapter 275: In the Bag
After eating and drinking her fill, Tang Mo neatly moved the Crystal Stone cubes she had just cut into her Space.
Jingjing hadn’t been idle down below, either. It had been helping Tang Mo by neatly stacking the Crystal Stones to one side.
Normally, Jingjing didn’t seem very strong, but when it came to anything related to Crystal Stones, it suddenly became immensely powerful.
Tang Mo looked at the small, fluffy ball of fur and was truly speechless.
It was supposedly a Divine Beast, a Crystal-eating Beast, but after raising it for so long, she hadn’t seen it be of any use. Its combat power was even lower than that of an ordinary Basic-level Mutant Beast.
However, Tang Mo had gotten used to having this little thing by her side, and it kept her from feeling bored or lonely on her journey.
So even if Jingjing was just a useless little beast, Tang Mo was still quite happy.
That wasn’t right; it couldn’t be completely useless. At the very least, it could eat Crystal Stones. A forced smile appeared on Tang Mo’s face.
Having eaten her fill and rested enough, it was time for Tang Mo to get back to work.
Stepping onto her small cloud of spiritual power, Tang Mo returned to the tunnel, raised the Heaven-reaching Giant Axe, and began cutting Crystal Stones again.
As cube after cube of crimson Crystal Stone was brought down, Tang Mo’s spirit felt an immense sense of satisfaction.
’This is all money!’
She stayed in the tunnel for another five or six hours, only stopping when she had mined all the way to the end.
The tunnel walls were composed of Crystal Stone, but the deposit only extended one meter deep. Beyond that, it was just ordinary rock.
Cutting out all these crimson High-level Crystal Stones was a massive undertaking.
Fortunately, she became more and more skilled at cutting as she went. Otherwise, there was no telling how long the job would have taken.
When Tang Mo emerged from the cave entrance once more, she saw Jingjing lying on the ground, exhausted and spread-eagled.
Clearly, the miner suffered up above while the mover suffered down below. It hadn’t been easy for either the human or the beast.
And next to Jingjing, around the enormous mirror-like surface, were rows upon rows of red Crystal Stone cubes.
Tang Mo collected them all into her Space, bit by bit, then carefully rearranged the items inside.
The items in the mini-mart section had barely been used since the last upgrade and were still fully stocked.
As for the two warehouses, the preservation warehouse was filled with all the food Tang Mo had collected, as well as some edible plant-type abnormal treasures.
For example, there was the Spiritual Flower and some other treasures that could boost attributes. Since Tang Mo had no place to use them herself, she simply collected them and put them all in her Space.
After all, time was frozen in this warehouse, so there was no fear of things spoiling.
There was also a lot of prepared hot food stored inside, ready to be taken out and eaten whenever she was hungry.
Every time Tang Mo returned to S Base, she would restock it with lots of hot meals so she could eat anytime while she was out.
The other warehouse was for storing the abnormal treasures and various strange baubles Tang Mo had collected from all over, including things from her time in the Wildman Tribe, small items bought at auctions, those few patterned diagrams from before, and all sorts of bizarre things she had encountered on the road.
Anything useless or that Tang Mo didn’t like would be sold at the exchange when she returned to S Base, while the small trinkets she was fond of were all kept in this warehouse.
Besides these trinkets, the warehouse was now packed to the brim with the Crystal Stone cubes cut from the tunnel.
The warehouse was extremely tall and vast, and all the crimson Crystal Stone cubes fit inside just perfectly.
However, this meant there was no longer room for her previous Crystal Stones.
Tang Mo could only move the less conspicuously red High-level Crystal Stones and the Intermediate Crystal Stones out into the open area, stacking them in separate piles.
As for the Basic Crystal Stones, they were already piled into two small mountains in the open area outside her warehouses.
Looking at so many Crystal Stones, Tang Mo couldn’t help but feel like someone who had just struck it rich.
’Am I super rich now?’
Super rich was an understatement. Tang Mo might not have known it, but not only was her attribute value number one on the Huaxia rankings, her wealth value absolutely qualified her for the title of Huaxia’s richest person.
After organizing everything, a breathless Tang Mo sat down next to Jingjing, who was still lying on the ground, too tired to get up.
The entire Crystal Stone Mine, filled with High-level Crystal Stones, was now in her possession. Her trip to the Apocalypse Garbage Dump had not been in vain.
But...
Tang Mo gazed at the massive Illusion Realm ahead. A full day had passed, and still, not a single person had come out of it.
’What on earth is going on?’
’What is the relationship between this Illusion Realm and the Crystal Stone Mine?’
The Crystal Stone Mine was just a tunnel. To say the Illusion Realm was there to guard the mine didn’t quite make sense.
But if the Crystal Stone Mine was merely an "appetizer" for the Illusion Realm, then what else was hidden down here that no one knew about?
Tang Mo wondered, was the treasure Zhang Chao and Qin Fen were looking for the Crystal Stone Mine, or was it a treasure that truly existed beneath this Illusion Realm?
With these doubts in mind, Tang Mo took out her sleeping bag, hugged Jingjing to her chest, and prepared to get some sleep first.
She was simply too exhausted. No matter how important something was, it could wait until she woke up. If she kept pushing herself and something happened, she wouldn’t have the strength to deal with it.
This cave was extremely unsafe. Someone could emerge from the Illusion Realm at any moment.
The tunnel entrance above was also open, and the people in the Apocalypse Garbage Dump were notorious desperados whom no one dared to provoke lightly.
Tang Mo condensed her spiritual power into a golden wall around herself, creating an artificial, cozy nest. Her spiritual power would immediately sense if anyone approached.
And so, Tang Mo settled down to sleep peacefully.
Tang Mo slept very satisfyingly. With no one to disturb her, she slept all the way through to the next day.
When Tang Mo opened her eyes again, she was startled by the time on her ID Watch.
’I’ve been down in this cave for two days just like that?’
’And none of those people have come out?’
Seeing that the Illusion Realm hadn’t changed in the slightest, Tang Mo couldn’t help but guess, ’Could it be that those people are never coming back?’
’Is there some other secret under the Illusion Realm that I don’t know about?’
Looking at the enormous mirror, Tang Mo found she just couldn’t bring herself to leave.
She had a feeling that, in the grand scheme of things, this matter wasn’t so simple.
But what secrets lay below was still unknown, and going down alone felt a bit boring. Tang Mo decided to climb out of the tunnel first and stir up some trouble up top before anything else.
