Rebirth: He refused to Divorce Again

Chapter 1966 - 1964: Reincarnation Curse

Chapter 1966: Chapter 1964: Reincarnation Curse

It was the first time Gu Qiaoqiao joked with Ling Nan. Ling Nan was already in his early twenties this year, and his face turned red all of a sudden, embarrassedly saying, "Sister Qiaoqiao, what are you saying? I’m still young..."

Gu Qiaoqiao chuckled, blinked her eyes, and nodded in agreement, "Hmm, you’re still young."

Ling Nan glanced at his little uncle, "I’ll be with my little uncle forever, so I won’t marry anyone."

Speaking of this, Gu Qiaoqiao truly began to wonder. Her little uncle had been wandering alone for so long, could it be that he never met anyone he liked?

Considering such changes in fortunes, with her little uncle’s capabilities and his striking appearance, how could there not be girls who fancy him?

If it were Ling Nan, she might ask directly. But with her little uncle, it’s not easy to ask directly. Still, she wasn’t going to let it rest and circled back to ask, "Little Uncle, over such a long time, you must have met some talented girls, right?"

Gu Junbai raised his eyebrows, amusingly looked at Gu Qiaoqiao, tapped the table and said lightly, "Don’t talk while eating, now eat!"

Alright, at this moment, little uncle turned into real little uncle, their elder. She and Ling Nan exchanged a glance and obediently lowered their heads to eat.

After lunch, the three of them walked towards the outskirts of Qiaoze Ranch, a few miles from where they lived, the car couldn’t be used, but walking wasn’t too slow for the three of them.

Gu Qiaoqiao activated the Heaven-reaching Talisman Incantation, allowing her to easily see the three spiritual bodies. Their figures were a bit blurry, maybe because they were in the sunlight, but she found it odd that they were appearing in sunlight.

When these three spiritual bodies saw the three approaching, they looked at each other and swaggered forward, seemingly having used this tactic to mess with many people, like walking through them, circling them and making faces, or performing other antics.

Unexpectedly, as one of them stuck out his tongue, Gu Junbai flicked his fingers, stopping him in his tracks, calmly asking, "Tell me, why are the three of you still here?"

Gu Junbai’s words were like a bolt from the blue. These three spiritual bodies had hovered here for a long time, having forgotten who they were, and nobody could see them nor could they communicate with people. Then, upon closer inspection, the three of them showed signs of shock, recoiling, and speaking fearfully, "Are you three Heavenly Gods?"

Gu Junbai opened his mouth casually, "We are not Heavenly Gods, but we can see you. Why are you three still here?" He then pointed to one of them and said solemnly, "Looking at you, you’ve been stuck here for over 300 years. Who are you?"

"...We don’t know who we are, we’ve forgotten; it’s been too long..." The oldest of the spiritual bodies suddenly said sorrowfully.

If forgetting is best, otherwise there will be many troubles ahead.

"Do you wish to drift around like this forever?"

"No, we’ve been weary of such existence. We beg the Deity to save us."

Gu Junbai nodded slightly. The breath of those spiritual bodies carried joy. Moments later, Gu Junbai turned to Gu Qiaoqiao standing beside him and said, "Qiaoqiao, I’m about to cast a spell called Reincarnation Curse. Watch closely, this will send them into Reincarnation."

Gu Qiaoqiao nodded but still asked, "Little uncle, why is it that for someone like Lin Qinghuan, she was scattered, but for them, they are sent into Reincarnation? Can you tell their virtue from their deeds?"

"Look closely at the top of their heads. There’s a golden light spot. These three people had some merit in their past lives, but they’ve forgotten their previous existence. Currently, our Heaven-reaching Talisman can’t unlock their past, so we send them into Reincarnation based on their present state."

Gu Junbai patiently explained.

Gu Qiaoqiao looked carefully, sure enough, saw a golden light spot on the top of the spiritual bodies’ heads.

She quickly nodded, "I understand."

The three spiritual bodies knelt excitedly, and looking at their postures, they certainly seemed to be from hundreds of years ago. However, even if they were formed recently, they might not have been able to move in the sunlight.

To live like this indeed has no meaning.

It would be better to enter Reincarnation and start a new life. With the golden spots on their heads, they are surely destined to be reborn into a good family. This era is the best time: everyone is equal, as long as you work hard and excel, even as a farmer’s child, you can rise high.

Even if you can’t be on top of the pyramid, living comfortably and happily is achievable.

While the Reincarnation Spell looks complicated, it’s easy to learn, at least to Gu Qiaoqiao. Ling Nan, on the other hand, had no clue whatsoever.

Gu Junbai first completed two Reincarnation Curses, sending two of them away; the last was left for Gu Qiaoqiao.

Gu Qiaoqiao took a deep breath, focused, releasing her Divine Sense and spiritual energy, extending her index finger to sky-draw talismans. In the blink of an eye, she completed the Reincarnation Spell, promptly flicking her finger, and the Reincarnation Curse transformed into a golden light, striking the spiritual body looking longingly at her.

Unfortunately, their faces were unclear, only faint outlines. But it was evident that the last one, the oldest, appeared to be an ancient general in armor.

Just as Gu Qiaoqiao glimpsed his face for a moment, the spiritual body faded into the air, and silence enveloped the surroundings.

It was Gu Qiaoqiao’s first time doing such a thing, feeling excited with an unexplainable sense of achievement.

It wasn’t much different from saving people with spiritual energy.

For her skills and the responsibilities she must shoulder, she’s gained a fresh perspective.

The ancient general looked resilient, roughly forty years old, given the merit light, likely someone who defended the country.

Although this land was grassland before and remains so, looking farther back, it likely belonged to some tribal territory.

But there’s no way Gu Qiaoqiao could investigate it.

She felt the urge to press on and reach the Third Layer to see the spiritual bodies’ past and present lives.

Then perhaps she could help them fulfill unmet wishes.

Thinking like this gave her a renewed sense of motivation.

Gu Junbai used his Spiritual Power to scan the surroundings once more but found no other spiritual bodies, so he took Gu Qiaoqiao and Ling Nan back to Qiaoze Ranch.

Ling Nan returned yesterday and discovered lots of wild rabbits around the ranch. He caught over a dozen and intended for Gu Qiaoqiao to take some back since he and little uncle would spend the following days at the ranch.
