Wizard: Building a Golem Legion From Zero

Chapter 455 - 443: Proper Practice

Chapter 455: Chapter 443: Proper Practice

[Weisren Heavy Industry’s "Ultimate After-Sales" Program Announcement: Technology That Never Becomes Obsolete. Your Trust Deserves a Complete Evolution!]

The announcement was made, and trade-in requests immediately flooded in.

Allen didn’t stay in the conference room to watch the results. He left the subsequent public opinion management and production scheduling entirely to his executive team.

He had an overconfident subordinate who needed to be "disciplined" personally.

He took Rhein and teleported directly to a giant training ground.

The training ground covered 100,000 square meters. Its walls and floor were made entirely of high-strength, self-repairing materials, capable of withstanding high-intensity combat.

Rhein stood in the center of the arena, stretching his limbs. He looked at the blonde, blue-eyed woman standing beside Allen.

She stood there quietly, like a perfect Puppet, with almost no discernible fluctuation of Magic Power.

"Boss, are you sure you want me to fight her?" Rhein asked, a hint of hesitation in his voice.

He had previously fought several Quasi-Level 2 Magical Beasts single-handedly on the Jade Plane and was bursting with confidence in his new body.

"She looks... like she can’t take a punch. What if I shatter her with one hit? Would that be considered a workplace injury or destruction of company property?"

Standing outside the Protective Force Field, Allen simply replied, "You should be more worried about yourself."

Rhein pursed his lips, clearly not taking it seriously.

"No. 18, you are authorized to use maximum output, but pull your punches," Allen commanded.

"Command confirmed." A blue light flashed in No. 18’s eyes.

Rhein hadn’t even had time to assume a defensive stance before a piercing sonic boom exploded by his ear!

The ground beneath No. 18’s feet cracked instantly as her figure vanished from right in front of Rhein.

’So fast!’

Rhein’s pupils contracted, his casting core frantically sending out warnings.

He could only act on instinct, violently raising his right arm to protect his head and face.

BANG!

An incomparably fierce knee strike slammed squarely into Rhein’s blocking forearm.

The terrifying kinetic energy transferred through the Star-Meteorite Iron armor, sending him skidding backward uncontrollably for over ten meters. His feet carved two deep furrows into the hard ground!

Rhein was getting angry. His eyes began to glow with a blinding red light.

"Doomsday" Ray!

Two high-temperature red beams shot straight for No. 18’s face.

Faced with this killing blow, No. 18’s upper body bent backward at an unnatural angle, becoming almost parallel to the ground.

The rays skimmed past the tip of her nose, melting two terrifyingly deep craters into the wall behind her.

Using the momentum of her backward bend, No. 18 planted one hand on the ground, her legs striking out like vipers to wrap around Rhein’s right knee joint in a flash!

She applied force and rolled!

A tooth-grinding screech of metal rang out as Rhein lost his balance and his body slammed heavily to the ground.

The next second, No. 18 flickered and appeared ghost-like in mid-air. One of her long legs, whistling as it tore through the air, came chopping down toward his head!

"Ice Age!" Lying on the ground, Rhein refused to be a sitting duck. He opened his mouth and spewed absolute-zero cold air, trying to freeze the space around No. 18 and restrict her movement.

No. 18 reversed the effect of her Anti-Gravity Rune, forcing her body to shift in mid-air and precisely avoid the range of the freezing air.

The moment she landed, the Magic Compression Cannons in her palms were already glowing with a terrifying blue light.

BOOM! BOOM!

Two high-energy compressed shots accurately struck the same spot on Rhein’s chest, and the composite armor caved in with a loud crack.

Rhein tried to get up and counterattack.

He raised his palm, preparing to instantly cast "Annihilation Light Spear."

SWOOSH—

A foot had already stomped down on his wrist joint like lightning, instantly dissipating the Magic Power he had just gathered. His casting was interrupted.

No. 18 straddled Rhein, her fists a blur of afterimages. Every strike landed on his joints and the weak points of his Magic Power nodes.

There were no flashy moves.

Only pure, born-for-slaughter combat instinct: dismantling, deflecting force, joint locks, and weak-point strikes.

In just a few seconds, Rhein took a solid one hundred and twenty-seven heavy punches.

After the final blow, an intense blue light flared in No. 18’s palm. The Magic Compression Cannon was pressed directly against the center of Rhein’s brow.

"The test is over," Allen’s voice sounded.

No. 18 instantly retracted the light.

She stood up, casually smoothed her slightly disheveled golden hair, and retreated behind Allen, resuming her cold, quiet demeanor.

Rhein was still lying on the ground. His bionic skin was almost completely ruined, his armor was covered in dents, and several of his joints had been knocked loose.

He stared blankly at the ceiling.

"Is that woman... a monster?" Rhein struggled to his feet, his voice hoarse.

Allen looked at him. "In terms of body performance, she’s only fifteen percent superior to you, but the result of the battle was a complete rout. Rhein, you’re too weak."

Rhein retorted, unconvinced, "I haven’t even used my incantations! If I’d created some distance..."

Allen cut him off. "In close-quarters combat, who’s going to give you the time to create distance and cast spells at your leisure? In the second that would take, she’d have already smashed her fist into your face."

"In your past life, you were a First-level Wizard, used to trading blows with Magic. But your current body is a war machine built for close-quarters slaughter."

Allen pointed at No. 18. "Engraved in her core is the remnant soul of a Level 2 bloodline witch. She has retained the purest combat instincts, with no wasted movements. She doesn’t rely on Magic, only on the most efficient way to destroy a target."

Rhein fell silent. A mere 15% difference in performance, yet he was full of openings in front of her, like a toddler just learning to walk.

"For the next two days, No. 18 will be your sparring partner for one hour each day."

Allen gave the order. "This ends when you can last ten minutes against her. Remember, Weisren Heavy Industry doesn’t support dead weight."

Rhein’s cheek twitched.

’Damn it! That woman doesn’t know how to hold back at all.’

"Now, get your ass to the repair bay."

...

CRASH!

An expensive crystal glass was smashed violently on the floor, shattering into countless pieces.

Bark’s chest heaved violently. He stared intently at the glaring announcement on the light screen, his handsome face twisted with rage.

"Madman! He’s a complete and utter madman!"

"Trade-ins at cost? What is he trying to do? Does he want to drag all his competitors down with him and die together?"

A pale-faced executive reported, "Boss, our stores... they’re being swamped. Countless customers are demanding to know why we don’t have a similar upgrade service. Some are even demanding refunds, calling our products ’industrial garbage’."

"Several of our core distributors just unilaterally terminated their contracts and immediately went to contact Weisren Heavy Industry. They want to secure the distribution rights for the latest models."

"Match them! We’ll match them!" Bark’s eyes were bloodshot. "He’s offering trade-ins at cost, so will we! I refuse to believe he has deeper pockets than we do!"

"Boss... we can’t!"

The chief financial officer had a woeful expression. "We’ve sold far too many Golems in the past—dozens, even hundreds of times more than Weisren Heavy Industry! If we recall all of them for upgrades, forget about profits, the company will go bankrupt on the spot! The other shareholders will never agree to it!"

Bark froze on the spot, as if struck by lightning.

"Then... then think of something else!"
