Wizard: Building a Golem Legion From Zero

Chapter 546 - 530: Reaching a Cooperation

Chapter 546: Chapter 530: Reaching a Cooperation

"Position?"

Sargeras’s Soul Flame flared violently. As if a drowning man had clutched at the last straw, his mind spun furiously in an instant.

This Wizard hadn’t outright obliterated him and had even mentioned a "position," which meant he still had use value. As long as he had value, there was a chance to survive.

Suppressing the humiliation and rage deep within his soul, he asked humbly, "Esteemed Wizard, what... what do you need me to do for you? No matter what it is, as long as I am capable..."

"A Purgatory Trade cross-realm Liaison Officer. Or, to put it more simply—my exclusive Buyer."

Sargeras’s Soul Flame froze, seemingly unable to comprehend the combined meaning of this string of words.

Trade... Buyer?

What in the world was this? Some sort of code for an even more vicious torture?

Allen stood with his hands behind his back, leisurely stating the responsibilities of this "job." "You’ve lived in the Abyss for thousands of years. You know enough High-tier Demons, you’re familiar with the territorial divisions of various Lords, and you’re even clearer on who holds the most massive Purgatory Demon Iron veins.

"I want you to use the network you’ve accumulated over thousands of years to help me contact sellers in the Abyss and establish sales channels for my products in the Purgatory market.

"Then, as my procurement agent, you will use the ’Soul Currency’ I provide to mass-purchase Purgatory’s specialties—primarily various High-tier metal ores, and even any extraordinary resources I need. As for where the currency comes from, you don’t need to worry about that."

Sargeras finally understood.

He wasn’t going to be tortured, nor was he going to be dissected.

This Wizard... wanted him to become a... merchant?!

A sense of absurdity and humiliation stronger than soul-tearing erupted in his consciousness like a volcano.

Who was he?

Sargeras! The immortal king who had conquered seven Planes! The ruler of the ninth layer of Purgatory! The world-ending natural disaster that left countless worlds wailing in Evil Energy Flames!

Now, this Wizard who had reduced him to a prisoner actually wanted him to be a peddler... hawking and haggling on the streets?!

"You... how dare you..."

His Soul Flame expanded violently. A tyrannical aura leaked out uncontrollably and crashed ruthlessly against the eerie green soul chains, stirring up ripples of energy.

Faced with the wrath of a Dawn Star Level Demon, Allen’s eyes didn’t show a single ripple.

"It seems you aren’t very satisfied with your new position."

He raised a hand, making a show of giving an order to the air. "Jarvis, it looks like this job exceeds his capabilities. Initiate Plan B. Completely dismantle the sample and extract the Law Model and memory data. Estimated time required..."

"I accept!"

Sargeras’s voice was sharp and urgent, abruptly cutting off Allen’s words.

That expanding flame shrank at an even faster rate, becoming dimmer than before. Only a tiny wisp at its absolute core remained, flickering subserviently.

He was afraid.

He finally and thoroughly understood that in this Wizard’s eyes, everything he was so proud of—status, dignity, power, history—was entirely meaningless. His only value was "being alive."

Once that premise was lost, this man would not hesitate to squeeze him into slag, leaving not even a scrap of data behind.

"Very good." Allen lowered his hand. "A wise choice. I will give you limited Freedom. If you know what’s good for you, perhaps I’ll let you go in a hundred years."

After that, he couldn’t even be bothered to spare Sargeras another glance. Nor did he mind in the slightest that this newly appointed "Buyer" was listening to his grand blueprint.

He turned his head, casting his gaze back at the crimson wasteland on the light screen.

Looking at the mountain-sized metal ore veins exposed on the surface, entirely ignored, Allen’s eyes held no fear of Purgatory—only a chilling fanaticism.

That gaze was like that of the CEO of a multinational mining company standing before the floor-to-ceiling windows of a skyscraper, overlooking a virgin ore vein with staggering reserves that had yet to be touched by any competitors.

"Jarvis. New project."

[Confirmed. Please enter the project overview.]

Allen looked at the light screen, faint blue data streams reflecting in his eyes. "Project code name: ’Soul Mining Machine.’

"Core objective: Upgrade the artificial soul emergence mechanism into a mass-producible, industrialized production line. Use Cybertron’s computing power as the mining machine, the emotional data of fifty million players as the raw material, and Soul Coins as the final output."

[Recorded. Please set milestone targets.]

"Phase One: Expand the computing power matrix and optimize the large model emergence algorithm to compress the production cycle of individual souls to the limit. Raise the annual output of the first-phase project to the million level.

"Phase Two: Use Sargeras as a springboard to establish a stable Purgatory Trade channel, exchanging mass-produced souls for Purgatory Demon Iron and other strategic resources.

"Phase Three—"

Allen paused. His gaze seemed to pierce through the Plane Crystal Wall, seeing that crimson world filled with treasures yet occupied by a pack of beasts that only knew how to tear at each other.

"Plan the second and third phase expansion projects. Dump the souls in Purgatory for me and drive the prices down! My goal is to ensure that every Demon in Purgatory has a soul to use!"

[Project overview entered. Do you need a preliminary R&D roadmap generated?]

Sargeras was completely dumbfounded.

He was like a caveman struck by lightning, listening to a broadcast from a future civilization. He knew every single word, but combined, they formed a terrifying worldview that he completely couldn’t understand.

Use computing power as a mining machine? Use emotions as raw material?

Industrialized... mass-produced... souls?

Make sure every Demon in Purgatory had a soul to use?

His previous mockery of Allen’s "artificial soul" idea now turned into countless slaps, striking him hard on the face. So, the other party wasn’t ignorant, but rather possessed technology he simply couldn’t fathom.

If this business truly succeeded, it would be a money-printing machine capable of overturning the entire order of Purgatory!

"No rush," Allen interrupted Jarvis’s inquiry. "Have our trade Liaison Officer start working as soon as possible. His brain still holds many details about Purgatory’s economic structure, power distribution, and the dirty laundry between the major monarchs.

"I need a complete market research report."

Allen turned around, once again looking at the Soul Flame that had fallen into complete shock. "Sargeras."

"...Here," he replied subconsciously.

"Your first task," Allen’s tone was as casual as if he were instructing a servant to clean a room, "is to compile a detailed dossier on all the Demon Monarchs across the ninety-nine layers of Purgatory. This includes, but is not limited to, their personality preferences, power systems, personal grudges, and trading habits."

He paused, adding a sentence.

"The report must be detailed enough. I want to know if they prefer to garnish their meals with wailing Soul Fragments, or if they like to pave their beds with tranquil Soul Crystals.

"I want to see the first draft in three days."

With that, Allen didn’t linger. He turned and walked out of the isolation zone. The heavy alloy doors slowly closed behind him, completely severing the light from the darkness.

In the cage, Sargeras’s Soul Flame floated silently in the dark, sinking into deep self-doubt.

Were Wizards... always this hardcore?

This Demon Monarch didn’t know at all that his previously self-righteous "well-intentioned advice" had precisely helped Allen confirm the most crucial, final puzzle piece of the entire plan—

Outside of Purgatory, no faction possessed the ability to mass-produce souls at a low cost.

This meant absolute zero competition.

And a closed market with zero competition, infinite demand, and buyers holding a massive amount of the resources Allen desperately needed...

In the memories of Allen’s past life, there was a professional term for this kind of market.

It was called a Blue Ocean.

Since they had temporarily reached a "cooperation," Allen naturally wouldn’t subject this newly appointed "Liaison Officer" to an exhaustive interrogation.

Jarvis precisely dialed down the power of the Soul Probe to a 0.5% that wouldn’t damage the origin, switching it to a gentle "limited research" mode.

Over the following half month, Allen buried himself in Cybertron’s laboratory.

He repeatedly compared Sargeras’s Soul Slicing data with the residual souls of those million-plus Low-tier Demons.

The deeper he delved, the more shocked Allen became.

The soul was indeed an unimaginably massive black box with extremely unique operational laws. Even after being bombarded by the Zero main cannon, Sargeras’s soul could still maintain its structural stability without losing memories, whereas an ordinary soul would quickly dissipate once the physical body was destroyed.

Even though he had already mastered the method of "manufacturing" souls through computing power emergence technology, it was like a primitive man learning to make fire by rubbing sticks together. He had merely triggered the phenomenon; he was still far from truly understanding the underlying Law mysteries of the soul.
