Cultivating in the Wizard World

Chapter 704 - 597: Contact_3

Chapter 704: Chapter 597: Contact_3

Then it was the Deep Red Royal Court’s turn.

The representative of the Deep Red Royal Court was a female Wizard who looked about ten-something years old, tall and broad-shouldered, with a hard-edged face and long dark-red hair tied back into a neat ponytail.

She wore a dark-red Combat Robe, with no extra decoration, only a single badge embroidered over her chest.

She extended her hand, movements unhurried and composed.

The one shaking her hand was a lump of flesh.

It really was something that could only be described as a "lump of flesh."

It had no fixed shape, its body like a ball of kneaded mud, its surface covered in countless writhing tendrils and split-open eyes.

When it伸出 its "hand," that hand was a mass of flesh bulging out, its shape constantly shifting.

The instant their hands clasped, the Deep Red Royal Court’s representative raised an eyebrow.

Billions upon billions of parasitic spores were surging madly into her through the pores of her hand.

Those spores were minuscule, extremely well-hidden, each carrying a complete parasitic gene sequence.

They would grow and spread inside the host, and ultimately seize everything that host possessed.

This was the tactic that this Parallel World Wizard was best at: parasite, devour, then replace the original owner.

Faced with this hostile probing, the Deep Red Royal Court’s representative smiled.

She shook her head, a trace of helplessness in her smile, like an adult watching a child pull a clumsy little trick.

The spores that had already invaded her body, the instant they came into contact with her bodily fluids, seemed to have encountered something they couldn’t even comprehend.

Their gene sequences were reverse-parsed, their parasitic programs reverse-compiled, their Energy Structures completely reorganized.

Then, the spores began to spread in reverse, surging back the way they came from inside her body and rushing into that "hand."

The lump of flesh thrashed wildly, trying to wrench its hand free of her grip.

But that hand might as well have been welded in place; it didn’t budge an inch.

A moment later there was a crisp snap, and the flesh lump’s arm broke off at the point where it joined the torso, crumbling into ash that drifted away in the void.

Screaming, the lump of flesh staggered backward, murky body fluids spraying nonstop from the severed stump.

Same combat system, same technological lineage.

The crushing gap between a forerunner and those who came after was put on full display in this little test.

The surrounding Parallel World Wizards instantly dropped into combat stances, Magic Staffs lighting up, Runes flaring, killing intent surging like a tidal wave.

The Deep Red Royal Court’s representative stood where she was, not even bothering to pull her hand back.

She just looked at that lump of flesh and said calmly, "Not bad, very creative. If you’re willing, I can be your mentor later."

The other Parallel World Wizards froze.

They looked at the woman, then at the four hundred Eighth Level Wizards standing behind her, then at the four war machines further back radiating a terrifying aura...

The killing intent in their eyes slowly faded, replaced by a sense of powerlessness that seeped right into their bones.

The Wizards of the Parallel World stayed silent for a long time.

At last, the Eighth Level Wizard covered in Runes let out a soft sigh, forced a stiff smile at the Wizards of the four major factions, then turned first and walked toward the palace entrance.

His steps were still cautious, but his posture was no longer as wary as before.

The others hesitated for a moment, then followed.

One after another, over a hundred Eighth Level Wizards with withered faces and twisted bodies walked into that palace.

The palace doors slowly closed behind them.

Jeming stood at the edge of the flagship and let out a long breath.

And not just him—other Wizards who’d been watching closely all secretly relaxed as well.

Even the Wizards on the Parallel World’s side couldn’t help but feel a bit of relief when they saw this scene.

"Looks like our luck’s good. Pretty smooth opening," Viola said from beside him.

Jeming nodded as well.

At least they didn’t end up fighting.

At least not for now.
