Chapter 479: Chapter 236: Priest’s 5 Consecutive Level-ups, Massive Attribute Surge
"Promotion Requirements Met. Priest Profession (Level 5) promoted—Current: Priest Profession (Level 6)."
"Received Professional Attribute Amplification: Strength +1, Constitution +1, Agility +2, Spirit +4, Magic Power +4!"
Just like with his other Professions, the transition from Level 5 to Level 6 was a major breakthrough in rank.
Then there was the upgrade to his Class Skills.
"Your Priest Class Skill—Priest’s Heart has been upgraded!"
[Priest’s Heart]Level 2: The Holy Light shines upon all things, bringing pity and mercy. You have saved many living beings, and the Holy Light takes pride in you. From this day forward, healing others will be your life’s work and pursuit.
Skill Effect: Healing/Purification effects increased by 20%!
Next up was the additional Class Mark.
"Congratulations on becoming a Senior Level Priest. Your healing abilities have improved, your Professional Level has increased, and you have obtained the Class Mark—Veteran: Shield and Beneficial Skills will have their original effects increased by an additional 10%!"
’This is great!’
The effect of the Priest Profession’s Class Mark made Lin Mo’s eyes light up.
This 10% increase to Shield effects wasn’t limited to Priest Profession Skills; it also applied to skills like his [Crystal Shield Skill] and [Frost Guardian].
The extra boost to beneficial effects was also extremely useful. Although Lin Mo currently had few Beneficial Skills, this additional amplification would be a huge boon once he acquired more BUFF Skills and raised his personal Attributes and Skill Levels.
’Not bad, not bad at all...’
And just like with his Ranger Profession before, after breaking through to the Senior Level, his Priest Profession continued to level up—and this time, it was even more dramatic.
"Promotion requirements met. Priest Profession (Level 6) promoted—Current: Priest Profession (Level 7)."
"Received Professional Attribute Amplification: Constitution +1, Agility +1, Spirit +2, Magic Power +2!"
"Promotion requirements met. Priest Profession (Level 7) promoted—Current: Priest Profession (Level 8)."
"Received Professional Attribute Amplification: Constitution +1, Agility +1, Spirit +3, Magic Power +3!"
"Promotion requirements met. Priest Profession (Level 8) promoted—Current: Priest Profession (Level 9)."
"Received Professional Attribute Amplification: Constitution +2, Agility +2, Spirit +3, Magic Power +3!"
"Promotion requirements met. Priest Profession (Level 9) promoted—Current: Priest Profession (Level 10)."
"Received Professional Attribute Amplification: Constitution +2, Agility +2, Spirit +4, Magic Power +4!"
Compared to the Mage Profession, which prioritized Magic Power with Spirit as a secondary focus, the Priest Profession’s Professional Attribute Amplification was more or less balanced between Spirit and Magic Power.
In reality, however, the Skills of the Priest Profession had slightly higher Magic Power consumption and Spirit strain than Magic spells.
Of course, this wasn’t an absolute rule. Some special Magic spells, like Lin Mo’s [Flash] Skill, had higher consumption than Priest Skills.
After five consecutive level-ups, Lin Mo’s Attributes had taken a huge leap.
His highest Attribute, Magic Power, including the profession amplification, had now reached an astonishing 170 points!
This had completely reached, and even surpassed, the level of a Mage who had just entered the Elite Level.
It could be said that as a pure Mage, he was already effectively at the Elite Level in terms of strength, not to mention he was also well-rounded with other high-level Professions to support him.
His gear was also uncommonly luxurious, and he possessed a wide variety of powerful and effective Skills...
With this level of Combat Power, Lin Mo was confident he could solo-kill a Level 12 Demon with almost no injuries.
However, at least on their current route, there were no Demons that powerful for him to fight.
They didn’t encounter a single Demon for seven or eight kilometers after leaving Fajade City.
This was actually normal. For one, Fajade City placed great importance on urban security, with numerous Guards patrolling the city’s surroundings daily and killing any Demons on sight.
Furthermore, Fajade City was an Adventurer city, after all. It was full of Adventurers, and any nearby Demons that ran into them while they were out on quests would be casually dispatched.
Over time, no Demons dared to approach this area anymore.
However, once they traveled a little farther, the figures of Demons began to appear sporadically along the caravan’s path.
This, of course, was when it was time for the Adventurers to get to work.
Normally, low-level Demons like these were supposed to be handled by the less powerful members of the squad. This served as practice and training for them, while also allowing the team’s "big brother" to conserve their energy and strength for more troublesome opponents.
But how could Lin Mo let all that Skill Level go to waste?
So, the moment he spotted the Demon, he shot out of the carriage and, with the speed of a thunderclap, appeared before the Level 1 Demon and threw out a [Rapid Charge Fist].
The Demon flew back as if hit by a truck, soaring an incredible distance before it went silent, still in mid-air.
For a Level One Demon, this could be considered an honorable burial.
Over with the Lion Adventurer Group’s small team, Luke had just been about to make a move when he saw the Demon go flying. He was dumbfounded.
’Wasn’t that supposed to be my job?’
’Or at the very least, shouldn’t the Half-Beastman over there have handled it? Why did this guy jump in himself?’
’And...’
’So fast!’
’Could he be an Agile Type Warrior?’
Deke, on the other hand, wasn’t surprised by Lin Mo’s performance. In terms of raw strength, their Adventurer Group’s leader was certainly much stronger, but it had been precisely because of Lin Mo’s immense advantage in speed that their leader had been left helpless, with no way to deal with him.
