Chapter 510: Chapter 471: Construction in Full Swing
After strolling through Feixia City for a while and observing the changes in the burgeoning city, Li Qian felt a sense of peace.
The existence of this city, garrisoned by a Saint Spirit Level Beast Master, guaranteed the safety of not only Feixia City but also the nearby Feihua City.
With Elder Tie, Teacher Han Ke, and Senior Sister Yilina staying here, Li Qian was no longer worried.
After strolling around for a bit and taking everything in, Li Qian decided not to waste any more time and prepared to enter the Dimensional Rift.
He turned to Irina beside him. "Senior Sister Yilina, I think that’s enough. I’m ready to head to Luoying City. What about you?"
"What do you think?" Irina glanced at Li Qian, her voice calm and measured.
Right. Li Qian instantly understood what she meant and gave a wry smile. "If you follow me like this to Luoying City, won’t that be considered abandoning your post? Isn’t that... not good?"
"From the moment you entered the vicinity of Feihua City, my duty has been to ensure your safety by staying by your side at all times," Irina continued, her voice flat.
Li Qian glanced at Irina’s determined expression, thought for a moment, and decided to drop it. After all, she meant well, and it would be difficult to refuse her. ’Besides, it makes no difference whether she’s with me or not.’
’If we run into danger, I can handle anything she can handle. And if I can’t handle it, she won’t be able to either.’
And so, the two of them entered the Dimensional Rift together. In a flicker of light and shadow, they appeared inside Luoying City.
Luoying City was quite large, mainly because the former site of the Rong Tribe civilization was vast. But while it had been large before, it had lacked any sign of life, filled with desolation and decay.
But the situation was completely different this time. The entire city of Luoying had been tidied up. Most of the buildings had been repaired on their original foundations, while the few that were beyond repair had been rebuilt.
And because most of the original Rong Tribe architecture had been preserved, the new Luoying City was filled with a rich, exotic charm.
It was unlike any other Dimensional Fortress Li Qian knew.
"Let’s go. There’s been new construction over by the Dimensional Rift. I’ll take you to have a look," Irina said, pointing in a specific direction.
Li Qian looked in the same direction, a hint of anticipation in his eyes.
Previously, the Earth Palace had collapsed, nearly burying the Dimensional Rift. It had only reappeared thanks to Teacher Liang’s re-excavation efforts.
Now that there were plans for major development, it was only natural that it would be properly refurbished. Li Qian wasn’t surprised by this in the slightest.
The two walked on, and it wasn’t long before they reached the vicinity of a temple complex. Seeing the Stone Tower standing in the middle of it, Li Qian had a look of sudden understanding.
It turned out the official renovation plan was simply to replicate the original architecture. Li Qian considered this for a moment and decided it was a rather good approach.
At the very least, it didn’t look out of place at all; everything was very harmonious. And this wasn’t just true for the Stone Tower where the Dimensional Rift was located.
Many of the surrounding temples had also been repaired or rebuilt, all of them replicas of the original style.
Li Qian glanced at the Central Stone Tower and walked over without hesitation. Since he was the one who had discovered this route, he would face no restrictions when using it for dimensional travel in the future.
His access privileges were even higher than Irina’s. If that weren’t the case, Li Qian wouldn’t have used this route to return to Nandu City.
In other Dimension Planes, his Adventurer’s Badge Level wouldn’t even permit him to enter a second-layer Dimension Plane.
Of course, after discovering the overlapping Dimension Plane and making such a huge contribution, Li Qian felt, ’there shouldn’t be any problem applying for a higher-Level Adventurer’s Badge.’
That was his plan, anyway. He would give it a try after the new semester started.
It would be best if he succeeded. But even if he failed, it wasn’t a huge loss—just a bit of a delay.
Upon entering the restricted area, he presented his identification. He met no resistance and was promptly invited inside.
"The Guardian Envoys here and in Yuanfeng City across the way are all directors from our Shazhou Beast Taming University," Irina explained.
Li Qian nodded slightly upon hearing this.
’The "Yuanfeng City" she mentioned must be the former Rong Tribe settlement on the other side of the Dimensional Rift. Since the authorities have taken over, it’s only natural for them to convert and expand it into a city.’
The Array that had sealed the Dimensional Rift was now completely undone, leaving the rift fully exposed.
Furthermore, likely in anticipation of frequent future traffic, large-scale construction had been carried out beneath the Stone Tower.
They had built an Adventurer’s Hall.
One could imagine how bustling this place would become once the route was fully opened to the public.
The two stepped into the Dimensional Rift and, in the blink of an eye, arrived in a new location. It was "new" mainly because, compared to Luoying City, the changes to Yuanfeng City were truly significant.
It bore little resemblance to the original Rong Tribe settlement.
Gazing into the distance, Li Qian spotted another Stone Tower, nearly identical to the one in Luoying City. This time, he walked toward it on his own initiative, not waiting for Irina to introduce it.
’It goes without saying that must be the location of the Dimensional Rift leading to the next Dimension Plane.’
And just as he had guessed, it was indeed the location of the Dimensional Rift.
Unlike in Luoying City, this Dimensional Rift was located at the top of the Stone Tower, not at its base.
Naturally, the Adventurer’s Hall was also built on the top floor. Though the space wasn’t large, it had everything one would need—small but perfectly formed.
Once again, Li Qian entered the Stone Tower without any obstruction. This time, however, he didn’t immediately proceed into the Dimensional Rift as before. Instead, he had to wait for a short while in the Adventurer’s Hall before being granted entry.
After a third flash of light and shadow, they arrived in an even darker world. Unlike his last visit, the place was no longer just a small puddle.
Now, the beginnings of an outpost were taking shape, and the entire area was a hive of frenzied activity.
Li Qian even saw a Four-Winged Flying Dragon carrying massive blocks of Cyan Porcelain Rock to build a fortress wall.
As he moved a little closer, he discovered that his Eye of True Sight couldn’t discern any information about the Four-Winged Flying Dragon.
This meant its Level was, at the very least, Dominator Level.
Using a Dominator Level Pet Beast for construction on an outpost... This was something only possible within a Deep Elemental Plane. In the outside world, it would be almost unimaginable.
