Chapter 522 - 255: Cavalry Charge

Chapter 522: Chapter 255: Cavalry Charge

Just as the two sides were about to clash, Robson no longer held back.

With a swing of his lance, in a mere instant, a monstrous tide of Dou Qi erupted from every fiber of his being.

The silver-white Dou Qi practically engulfed Robson’s entire body.

A ten-meter-tall phantom flickered behind him, wavering unsteadily.

This was the first time Robson had truly unleashed his full power since reaching the Legendary tier.

Unleashed, he truly possessed the imposing aura of a Celestial God descending to the mortal realm.

General Gavin, on the opposing side, had intended to meet Robson in a clash of generals. But upon seeing this, the color instantly drained from his face.

Gold is one threshold, and Legendary is another.

For Extraordinary Warriors, the difference in Dou Qi quality between someone who had reached the Legendary tier and someone who hadn’t was like the difference between heaven and earth.

Robson’s Dou Qi seemed almost tangible.

Gavin was horrified. He recognized Robson’s level of power in a single glance.

Legendary!

’How is this possible?’

’Gavin had read Robson’s profile. He’s only in his twenties, yet he’s a Legendary!’

"For the Empire!"

"For the Lord!"

General Gavin had wanted to stall Robson and die a heroic death, granting himself a glorious battlefield funeral.

But in the current situation, if he truly clashed head-on with Robson, he’d likely be struck down from his mount in a single exchange.

’That was certainly not what General Gavin wanted.’

With this in mind, General Gavin moved, trying to dodge Robson’s lance.

But the two had already engaged in combat. Both Robson’s Lion Horse and General Gavin’s mount were magical beasts of incredible speed—how could he react in time?

"ARGH!"

General Gavin did his best to dodge, but he was still grazed across the waist by Robson’s lance.

In an instant, a hole was torn in General Gavin’s waist.

Still, he wasn’t dead.

Gavin didn’t dare hesitate. He immediately used his Dou Qi to seal the wound and chugged a large bottle of Beast God’s Blood.

Beast God’s Blood, as its name implied, was of the same origin as the Beast God’s Blessing. Both were battlefield stimulants.

However, Beast God’s Blood was far more potent and better at unleashing the body’s latent potential.

After drinking the Beast God’s Blood, General Gavin’s eyes had turned completely bloodshot in moments.

...

On the battlefield, Robson knew he hadn’t killed the Beastman General. But he was at the head of a charge; he was the leader. If he broke formation, everything would fall into chaos.

So, Robson paid General Gavin no mind and continued to lead the charge with his lance.

Both sides were in a cone formation, a standard offensive arrangement.

This type of formation tested morale and momentum above all else, relying heavily on the troops at the tip of the cone.

Undoubtedly, Robson, with his Legendary power, had nearly crippled General Gavin with a single thrust of his lance.

Now, though the Extraordinary Soldiers in the opposing Beastman Army showed no fear, confusion flickered in their eyes.

"For the kingdom! Charge!"

Robson showed no mercy. Kicking them while they were down, he spurred his horse onward, continuing his charge.

"A Legendary!"

"A human Legendary..."

Robson led the charge into the Wolf Cavalry’s formation, the Dou Qi radiating from his body nearly knocking over the surrounding enemies.

Wherever the Lion Horse went, it left a trail of purple blood, and the screams of the Purple-blooded Beastmen filled the air.

If one had to describe the scene, it was like a dump truck from Robson’s past life plowing into a group of helpless children.

"For Affleck!"

Behind Robson, the nearly three hundred Extraordinary Cavalry of the Cavalry Corps all began to burn with Dou Qi.

No matter how powerful Robson was, even he wouldn’t dare to charge into an army of thousands alone.

Even a mythical Saint facing an army could only resort to persuasion; an endless sea of men would sooner or later deplete all of their Dou Qi.

But fortunately, Robson was not alone. He had the elite army he had spent years building at his back!

A thin layer of Dou Qi appeared on the Extraordinary Cavalry’s bodies. It was so faint that even another Extraordinary would have trouble sensing it without focusing intently.

But this Dou Qi existed, and it was different from the crude, flood-like outpourings of other Extraordinary Cavalry.

The Warriors of the Cavalry Team had focused their internal Dou Qi to the most optimal points, allowing them to unleash its power with maximum efficiency.

"Long live the Empire!"

The Warriors in the Wolf Cavalry’s ranks quickly realized something was amiss.

In their eyes, the enemies before them were clearly just ordinary Soldiers.

But once they clashed, the strength of these ordinary Soldiers was in no way inferior to their own!

’How is that possible?! The difference between the Extraordinary and the mundane is as vast as heaven and earth!’

Besides, apart from this bizarre strength, these human Soldiers also seemed to possess extraordinary skill.

Although the Wolf Cavalry Warriors kept trying to evade the enemy’s attacks, the human Cavalry always managed to find a clever angle to cut them down from their mounts.

This was only natural. After all, the only thing Robson’s Tier Six Soldiers lacked compared to Extraordinary Soldiers was Dou Qi.

Once that gap was bridged, very few of the so-called Extraordinary Soldiers could ever hope to defeat the Tier Six Soldiers.

On the plains, this disparity was on full display.

The Wolf Cavalry and the human Cavalry were like two conical tides. When they collided, the Wolf Cavalry’s tide was immediately overwhelmed by the human one.

"Charge!"

"Why have we stopped?"

"Keep charging!"

General Gavin had arranged his forces in a cone formation for a head-on clash. Both sides were committed to a direct confrontation, making retreat extremely difficult.

At that moment, General Gavin was still charging at the front, engaging with the seemingly ordinary human Cavalry ahead of him.

The moment they clashed, General Gavin realized something was wrong.

’This is bad! It’s Dou Qi!’

Hearing the unending screams of his Extraordinary Wolf Cavalry from behind, General Gavin’s mind went numb.

The Dou Qi of the humans before him was faint, but it was undeniably present.

’That proved it. These weren’t ordinary Soldiers at all—they were completely and utterly Extraordinary.’

’We’ve been had!’

’But... the Fengman Clan had five hundred Extraordinary Cavalry, and there are several hundred more here. Where did the humans get so many Extraordinary Cavalry?’

General Gavin’s thoughts didn’t last long before a furious roar erupted from the human formation.

"Beast Ghost!"

"Time to die!"

He saw a golden avatar hurtling toward him.

General Gavin’s eyes narrowed as he made out a youthful figure within the human ranks.

It was Claude!

Claude had fought alongside Robson for a long time, reaching the Gold-tier of the Extraordinaries during the battle against the Tiger Race elites.

’Another young Gold warrior? Where do the humans find so many of heaven’s favored children?’

With Extraordinary Cavalry pressing in from all sides and another human Gold warrior charging from the front, General Gavin dared not hesitate. He immediately dropped his lance and drew his scimitar.

"Fine! We’ll see who’s the one who dies!"

’That last prodigy was a bit too much of a freak.’

’This one, though... he’s just my style!’

General Gavin leveled his scimitar. Ignoring the blades striking at him from all around, he charged straight for Claude.
