Chapter 1783: Chapter 1630: Stylist 6
Shu Yixin’s temperament actually leans towards sweet and cute. However, it’s not much different from a pure temperament; you just need to have a good match of clothes and hairstyle, with a more natural makeup.
Tao Shuangshuang decided to give Shu Yixin a nude makeup look. The photographer next to her, somewhat effeminate, held his camera and stared intensely at Tao Shuangshuang doing the makeup, giving a sense of pressure.
Tao Shuangshuang, with a strong mindset, didn’t mind at all, bowed her head and earnestly applied makeup on Shu Yixin. Tao Shuangshuang swept a hint of faint blush at the corner of the eyes and just brightened the lip color a bit.
After finishing the makeup, Tao Shuangshuang saw that no one was there to do Shu Yixin’s hair, so she promptly braided her hair into a fishtail braid. It was rather loose, making her look cute and pure given her good looks and temperament.
Then Tao Shuangshuang chose a sky-blue half skirt for her, with a cinched waist and a large bow of the same color tied at the back, the ribbon hanging down to the knees.
Wearing bright blue sandals, she looked pure and like the girl next door, reminding one of the youthful girl they once admired.
Due to time being a bit tight, and Shu Yixin seeming not in a good mood, she kept silent all this time.
Tao Shuangshuang just focused on busying herself with styling Shu Yixin, fully intent on securing this job and not bothering to speak.
Once the styling was done, Shu Yixin’s mood improved when she saw herself in the mirror. She spun around and leaned closer to the mirror, admiring her flawless makeup.
Unable to hold back, Shu Yixin praised Tao Shuangshuang: "Your skills are amazing! You could easily be a stylist for celebrities. This looks better than what the makeup artists in the crew did for me."
The effeminate photographer on the side also made a face full of delight, circling around Shu Yixin. His formerly tense expression relaxed, and he beamed like a flower: "Oh my, where did this girl-next-door come from? I just got inspired! Quickly, I can definitely shoot a great set of photos for you today!"
After saying this, the man held an orchid fingers pose, pointing at Tao Shuangshuang with his index finger: "Hey, whoever you are, don’t leave just yet. Be ready to touch up the makeup whenever needed."
Shu Yixin’s artistic photoshoot was all indoor scenery, using background walls as the backdrop. It was just a matter of striking poses for the shoot.
Tao Shuangshuang followed along, watching Shu Yixin’s photoshoot, with several people around bustling for lighting, fanning, sprinkling petals, various photo techniques emerging one after another.
This shoot kept going until midnight. In between, Tao Shuangshuang touched up Shu Yixin’s makeup twice, changed two outfits and hairstyles, all in the girl-next-door style.
It wasn’t until Shu Yixin was sent off that the effeminate photographer, who had her stay, smiled brightly at her: "Are you here for the makeup artist position?"
Tao Shuangshuang nodded, the man’s smile deepened: "I’m Zhou Wensheng, the boss and photographer of this photo studio. You can call me Boss Zhou from now on.
I’ve seen your makeup skills, very impressive. Today, you helped me a lot. No need for a probation period, we’ll start with the treatment of my best makeup artist.
I’ll give you a base salary of three thousand, plus a commission for makeup services. If you work outside, you can take on any gigs, charging between twelve hundred to fifteen hundred per session, but don’t let it affect your work at my studio."
Tao Shuangshuang had known that she had secured the job this time, but she didn’t expect to be offered such good terms. She was very pleased: "Thank you, boss. Rest assured, I will work hard."
When leaving, Zhou Wendong gave Tao Shuangshuang a five-hundred-yuan red envelope, purely because he was in a good mood.
Mainly it was because Zhou Wendong had been let down by his staff today, watching helplessly when no one could help. Losing Shu Yixin as a client wasn’t scary; the scary part was the subsequent fallout.
Shu Yixin’s clientele represents the highest-income customers the studio faces. Once the reputation takes a hit, what’s lost is a large batch of premium clients.
Holding the five hundred yuan, Tao Shuangshuang cheerfully bought a pound of meat, even splurged on a braised pig ear, and bought some of her favorite fruits.
Excitedly opening the door, a shadow lunged at her; the scene was all too familiar, Tao Shuangshuang narrowly dodged to the side, avoiding the flying teacup that smashed on the ground.
Turning around, Tao Shuangshuang saw the familiar scene. Jiang Jiali and her boyfriend were in the cramped living room, putting on a full-scale brawl, fighting fiercely.
Tao Shuangshuang took a deep breath; it seemed she should no longer enter directly after opening the door but first stand aside and check if there’s any hidden weapon to avoid before entering.
Skillfully slipping back to her room, putting down the things she carried, Tao Shuangshuang’s initially happy mood turned sour.
Though Tao Shuangshuang, like Sister He, was frustrated by Jiang Jiali’s inability to stand up for herself, this frustration stemmed from a pity for her misfortune and dissatisfaction with her lack of resolve.
Jiang Jiali’s boyfriend, who liked to hit women and sponged off of her, was truly despised. He’s a scumbag loser, anyone like him living is just a waste of air.
Outside, Jiang Jiali’s muffled grunts from being beaten kept coming through, annoying Tao Shuangshuang. She had just been battered a couple of days ago; Jiang Jiali’s injuries hadn’t healed before he was at it again.
Tao Shuangshuang paced in her room, a bit worried, as Jiang Jiali’s voice was getting weaker; hopefully she wasn’t beaten into any serious condition.
Although Jiang Jiali couldn’t see things clearly in regards to her boyfriend, she was quite nice otherwise, reserved in private but helped Tao Shuangshuang and Sister He quite a bit.
Whenever she got paid and had money to spare, she’d get some treats to invite Tao Shuangshuang and Sister He to join her.
Though Jiang Jiali could only be generous on the day she got paid, as soon her money would be taken by that vampire of a boyfriend.
Listening closely as Jiang Jiali fell silent while the sound of beating persisted, Tao Shuangshuang couldn’t sit still anymore; she opened the door and stepped out.
Outside, Jiang Jiali lay face down on the ground, her boyfriend sitting on her back, punching her repeatedly.
A fury rose within Tao Shuangshuang; unable to hold back, she strode forward in anger, delivered a swift kick directly to the man’s waist, sending him flying to the side, landing hard on the floor, unable to get up for a long moment.
Jiang Jiali’s boyfriend was utterly dumbfounded, having never expected Tao Shuangshuang to suddenly kick, and with such force. Previously, Tao Shuangshuang and Sister He often tried to pull him off Jiang Jiali but only by dragging him aside.
He never thought Tao Shuangshuang would suddenly use her foot, nor that her strength had grown. But now, Tao Shuangshuang was different; dealing with him was a piece of cake.
Tao Shuangshuang strode over, grabbed his hair, and dragged him outside. A sharp pain shot through his scalp causing him to cry out!
