The Elven Cultivator

Chapter 178 - 171: General vs. General

Chapter 178: Chapter 171: General vs. General

The outskirts of the Silver Moon Forest.

Over a hundred figures swooped in, storming the battlefield with unstoppable momentum.

The dozens of Five Camp Divine Soldiers at the forefront were instantly focused down and torn into a shower of fragments, their remains clattering to the ground.

But before they could strike again, countless green vines surged from all directions, blanketing the area.

Unwilling to be trapped, the figures immediately pulled back, halting at the boundary line just beyond the vines’ reach.

Led by Aurion, the six Regents stared coldly at the green curtain of light, their eyes filled with killing intent.

Behind them stood over a hundred Pure-blooded Dragon Race officers.

The terrifying auras of over a hundred Golden Tier experts erupted without reservation, converging into a suffocating pressure that weighed heavily on the heart of every Elf on the battlefield.

But in the next moment, an equally immense aura swept out from the depths of the forest, brazenly crashing against the opposing pressure.

The two formless powers collided in the void, stirring up visible ripples of distortion and throwing the air between them into chaos.

Figures emerged one by one from the depths of the forest.

Leading them was none other than the Great Elder of the Silver Moon Race, Leonard.

Behind him were Second Elder Axel Silver Moon, Elena, Romance, Eleanor... All the Golden Tier combatants of the Silver Moon Race were present.

And standing beside them were the members of the Fallen Dragon Association.

Sieg, Summers, Scott, Bazzer, Vorn... fifteen people in total.

Without exception, they were all Golden Tier combatants.

Upon seeing Sieg, Aurion’s expression darkened for a moment, but a cold, sharp sneer soon appeared on his face.

"So the Fallen Dragon Association really did show up."

"You got lucky last time, Sieg."

"But this time, your luck has run out."

Sieg’s expression remained unchanged. Meeting Aurion’s gaze, he said calmly, "You should worry about yourself first."

"I hear your esteemed City Lord has quite the temper. When he’s recovered, he might just take his anger out on you first."

Their innermost worries having been struck, the Regents’ faces instantly turned ugly. But as they looked at their opponents, the killing intent in their eyes only grew more intense.

Aurion wasted no more words and barked a cold order.

"Kill them."

The moment the words left his mouth, the High Tier combatants from Dragon City struck simultaneously.

The members of the Silver Moon Race and the Fallen Dragon Association met their charge without flinching.

The battle erupted in an instant!

Aurion was arrogant by nature. Without so much as a glance at Sieg, his former defeated foe, he shot straight toward the Great Elder.

A grayish-brown halo instantly enveloped his body.

The halo wasn’t bright, but it gave off a dense, mountain-like pressure.

A mere swipe of his claw felt as if a mountain range was crashing down upon them.

The Great Elder’s expression was grave. With a slight push from his foot, countless thorns instantly burst from the ground, scrambling over each other as they surged toward Aurion and smashed into his claws.

The air boomed with a muffled explosion. The thorns shattered into a shower of debris as an invisible shockwave radiated from the point of impact. The aftershocks sent spiderweb-like cracks across the ground, and rubble tumbled and bounced in the blast wave.

Aurion’s charge faltered for a moment.

Seizing the opportunity, the Great Elder waved his hand, and even more thorns erupted from the earth, surrounding Aurion from all sides.

As the highest Regent of Kresol Dragon City, Aurion’s strength was well known.

He had awakened the Power of Stone Rock, a subordinate Law of earth’s Elemental Power.

This Law allowed him to convert his Magic Power into energy with the same properties as rock, drastically increasing both his physical defense and the impact force of his attacks.

Though it was only a subordinate Law, Aurion had been at Golden Peak for several hundred years. His control and understanding of the Power of Stone Rock far surpassed most others at his level.

Even the Great Elder dared not show the slightest carelessness when fighting such an opponent, much less let him get into close range.

Thorns coiled around his body, and vines danced around him like living creatures, weaving a seamless defensive barrier.

Each time the thorns were smashed by Aurion’s fists, they would regrow in the next moment, layer upon layer, seemingly without end.

Pitting hard against soft and force against resilience, the two were locked in a fierce, evenly matched battle.

On another side of the battlefield, the clash between the Second Elder and Walt was much quieter.

Both were at Golden Peak, but their attacks lacked any earth-shattering fanfare.

The Second Elder’s techniques emphasized perception and dexterity; he did not excel at direct confrontations.

Walt’s awakened Law of Agility also excelled in speed.

The two seemed to be probing each other, striking and retreating in a flash, with neither rashly committing their full power.

Hector had intended to deal with the Silver Moon Race’s Third Elder, but just as he made his move, a stern-faced Elf blocked his path.

Recognizing the face before him, a disdainful sneer appeared on Hector’s face.

Cedric.

’He knew this guy.’

’Captain of the Silver Moon Race’s Forest Guard. A Middle Gold Warrior.’

’A mere Middle Gold Warrior dares to stand in my way? He’s completely overestimated himself!’

’I don’t even need to use my Power of Law to deal with an ant like this.’

Hector casually slashed out with his sword, intending to finish off this clueless fool and move on to his real target.

Facing the incoming blade, Cedric’s expression was indifferent as he swung his own sword to meet it.

The two Long Swords clashed heavily in the void. No sparks flew; even the sound seemed to be swallowed by something, leaving only a visible distortion that erupted from the point of impact.

Hector’s expression changed abruptly. He instantly felt that something was wrong.

What came back through his sword wasn’t the recoil of Magic Power clashing, but a much more savage and primal force.

The force was like a crushing mountain, so heavy that his wrist went numb and the webbing between his thumb and forefinger ached dully.

He subconsciously tried to mobilize his Power of Law to counter, but it was too late.

In that instant, a terrifying pressure descended from nowhere, enveloping his entire body.

Hector felt as if a mountain had been dropped on him. His bones creaked as the air was squeezed from his chest bit by bit, making it difficult to breathe.

His movements immediately became sluggish; even lifting his sword was a struggle.

Although he quickly used his Power of Law to negate the suppression, in that brief moment, Cedric had already swung his sword at his neck.

In the nick of time, Hector only managed to slightly turn his body.

The blade grazed past his neck, shearing off a few scales and kicking up a spray of blood, before viciously striking his left shoulder.

Scale Armor shattered and fresh blood splattered.

Hector grunted in pain and staggered backward, his left arm hanging limply at his side. Blood flowed down his Arm Armor, dyeing the ground beneath him dark red.

His left arm was nearly crippled.

Overcome by both excruciating pain and furious shock, Hector fiercely activated his Power of Law. An invisible force field radiated out from him, enveloping Cedric.

An invisible pressure, like a crushing mountain, pulverized the rubble on the ground. The very soil beneath Cedric’s feet sank into a shallow crater.

Cedric’s body faltered slightly, but his expression remained unchanged. With a surge of qi and blood, his muscles bulged, and he forcefully withstood the immense pressure.

Seizing this opportunity, however, Hector had already retreated frantically, putting distance between himself and Cedric.

"Power of Law!"

Hector’s face was contorted, his eyes bloodshot as he glared at Cedric, his heart a mixture of shock and rage.

’Didn’t the intel say this guy was only Middle Gold?’

’So why does he have the Power of Law?’

’How the hell do those guys in intelligence gathering do their jobs?’

’How could they get intel like this wrong?’

’Middle Gold and Golden Peak are completely different tiers! An intelligence failure of this magnitude is simply unforgivable.’

Hector mentally cursed the Dragon Race members in charge of intelligence, swearing that when he got back, he would throw the lot of them into a water prison and torture them to death!

Suppressing his anger, doubt began to creep into his mind.

Hector’s Law was called "Heavy Pressure," another subordinate Law derived from earth’s Elemental Power.

When the Law was active, he could drastically increase the gravity within a certain range of himself.

If an unprepared enemy was caught in it, at best their movements would become sluggish and their breathing difficult. At worst, their bones would be crushed by their own weight, their organs would rupture, and they would die on the spot.

Even against opponents of the same tier, the Law of Heavy Pressure could significantly weaken their agility and reaction speed, creating a crushing advantage for him.

At the same time, he could also imbue his attacks with the power of Heavy Pressure.

Even if he were just holding a tree branch, he could strike with tons of force and crush his opponent.

But what shocked and puzzled him was that the Power of Law Cedric had just displayed seemed quite similar to his own Heavy Pressure.

That oppressive feeling coming from all directions, that illusion of being crushed by a mountain—those were clear characteristics of a pressure-type Law.

But thinking back carefully, there seemed to be a difference.

His Heavy Pressure radiated outward from himself as the center, whereas Cedric’s pressure felt more like it was concentrated on his sword blade and transmitted through his attacks.

Many thoughts flashed through Hector’s mind in an instant.

Before he could reach a conclusion, Cedric had already flickered forward again, swinging his sword.

It was clearly just an ordinary strike, without even a fluctuation of Magic Power, yet in that instant, Hector had the illusion that a mountain was crashing into him, making him catch his breath.

The air let out a low whine.

Hector instinctively raised his sword horizontally to block.

BOOM!

A terrifying force exploded from the point of contact. Hector felt as though he hadn’t blocked a sword swung by a man of flesh and blood, but an entire mountain peak plummeting from the heavens.

The immense force bent his knees, and a sharp pain shot through the hand gripping his sword.

Hector’s face contorted for a moment, his heart filled with utter shock.

’What in the world is this power?’

’No, it’s not just the Power of Law.’

’There’s something strange about his weapon, too!’

Before Hector could catch his breath, Cedric pressed forward again, launching a fierce assault.

He had only just fully mastered this Near-God Art, Mountain Suppression, shortly before the battle began.

Now, applying it in actual combat, he was gaining a much deeper appreciation for the power of this Near-God Art.

Especially when facing an opponent who also specialized in close-quarters combat, it allowed him to display his advantages to the fullest.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

Pitting strength against strength and fortitude against fortitude, the two were like a pair of giants fighting to the death.

Each clash caused visible distortions in the surrounding space. Violent blast waves swept out in all directions, kicking up rubble and dust into the air in a truly astonishing display.

But a closer look revealed that Hector was clearly at a disadvantage.

His left arm had been nearly crippled in the earlier exchange, forcing him to block awkwardly with only his right hand.

Cedric’s assault, however, was like a raging storm, wave after wave, without pause.

With each exchange, Hector was knocked back a step, the ground beneath his feet shattering under the force.

Not far away, even while locked in battle with the Great Elder, Aurion kept the entire battlefield in his peripheral vision.

As he took in the fight between Hector and Cedric, Aurion’s brow furrowed.

’The Silver Moon Race actually has another Golden Peak expert who’s awakened the Power of Law?’

’No, it’s not just him.’

Aurion’s gaze swept quickly across the battlefield, and his heart began to sink.

Second Elder Axel, fighting Walt, was also at Golden Peak.

And from the Fallen Dragon Association, Sieg was also at Golden Peak.

In other words, the opposing side had four Golden Peak combatants.

Although they were still outnumbered by Dragon City’s six Regents, the gap was no longer that large.

Of the two extra Regents, one was being jointly besieged by Scott and Summers.

The other Regent, to Aurion’s surprise, was tied down by two young Elf Maidens.
