Chapter 502: Chapter 227: Thrown into the Sea
The first things to arrive were not the sword, but two flying needles.
One bored directly into Qian Bu’er’s skull, the other pierced his heart.
SQUELCH.
The sword’s tip pierced through Qian Bu’er’s throat.
Even at this moment, Fang Shuwen could still find a use for Qian Bu’er.
With a forward push of his palm, he sent Qian Bu’er’s corpse flying straight into the cabin.
The sword hadn’t even been pulled from Qian Bu’er’s throat before the body was upon its wielder.
Before the Swordsman could react, the corpse had already slammed into him.
The sound of shattering bones was as dense as a string of firecrackers.
The Swordsman spewed a torrent of blood. He and Qian Bu’er flew high into the air together before crashing down hard.
At that same instant, the palm user struck at Fang Shuwen.
He was the team’s insurance. If both the sword and needles missed, he was in the perfect position to follow up, giving Fang Shuwen no opening to exploit.
In the heat of the moment, Fang Shuwen glanced at his opponent’s palm.
It was a ghastly green, emanating an ominous aura.
The smell was pungent and foul—it was clearly a poison palm.
Fang Shuwen lifted his five fingers, redirecting the man’s palm mid-strike. To the man’s utter astonishment, that brilliant green palm landed squarely on his own chest.
PFFT!!
A mouthful of blood sprayed out.
But Fang Shuwen’s figure had already vanished from before him.
The one who threw the flying needles was a woman.
When Fang Shuwen appeared before her, she was just about to rise from her couch. A sudden pressure on her shoulder immobilized her, freezing her in place.
By now, the fourth person in the cabin had yet to even lift his head. Fang Shuwen’s five fingers, curved like a claw, were already clamped onto the man’s skull.
With a turn of the North Nether Divine Technique, the man’s entire well of Inner Strength vanished into thin air before he could even grunt.
The entire exchange took place in the span of a single breath.
Aside from the woman, the poison palm user had been struck by his own technique.
The Swordsman had been smashed to pieces by Qian Bu’er’s body.
And the last one, who had been posturing without acting, no longer had a chance to act. Fang Shuwen had drained his Inner Strength and then, in one smooth motion, pierced his skull with the Nine Yin Divine Claw.
Fang Shuwen surveyed the cabin, his gaze falling upon the Swordsman and the palm user.
He walked over and first kicked the Swordsman to death.
Then he took the sword from the man’s hand.
With a look of disgust, he then walked over to the poison palm user. Ignoring the man’s pleading eyes, he used the sword he had taken from the Swordsman to run him through the throat.
And just like that, aside from the woman, everyone else had met a violent end.
He hadn’t killed this woman because he had a use for her.
She was Skin-Stripping Lu Ying’er, ranked third among the Seven Fiends of the Dark Sea.
Fang Shuwen looked at the four corpses on the floor, then glanced at the cabin doors outside. After confirming that he hadn’t alerted anyone, he began to deal with the bodies.
He grabbed two of them, executed the Cloud Passing Body Technique, and silently made his way to the stern of the ship. With a casual toss, he heard a SPLASH SPLASH.
The two bodies were gone.
Fang Shuwen suddenly thought that being at sea wasn’t so bad after all.
Throughout his journey, he’d rarely had to bury the people he killed.
After all, he’d killed so many that if he had to bury them all, he’d never be finished.
But here, there was no need for burials. He could just toss them into the sea.
It saved time and effort, and he could even feed the fish.
"Good. This way, no one will be the wiser. It won’t become a huge public spectacle."
Fang Shuwen remembered the purpose of his trip: he had to act as low-key as possible.
Even when killing, he had to clean up all loose ends.
His figure flickered and vanished like a wisp of smoke. A moment later, he was back inside the cabin.
He grabbed the remaining two corpses and was about to head out when a thought struck him. He quickly began searching the bodies and, sure enough, found a good number of gold leaves.
Fang Shuwen wasn’t very happy... because he had forgotten to search the first two bodies.
"I missed out on a fortune."
Fang Shuwen let out a deep sigh. ’Next time I dispose of a body, I have to remember to search it first!’
After tossing these two bodies into the sea, Fang Shuwen lightly dusted off his hands.
Feeling unburdened, he returned to the cabin and stood before the woman.
As the woman’s face twisted in terror, Fang Shuwen first planted A Line in her, then grabbed her and turned to leave the cabin.
After a few twists and turns, it took him only a moment to get back to his own cabin.
He hadn’t alerted anyone during the entire process.
The atmosphere here was still tense. Fang Shuwen had told them to wait, so all they could do was wait obediently.
Although Zuo Xuan was getting restless, he didn’t dare to do anything rash.
Just as he was wondering how long this would take, the cabin door opened. Fang Shuwen slipped inside and, with a flick of his hand, threw Lu Ying’er to the floor.
Everyone subconsciously looked at Fang Shuwen, then at Lu Ying’er on the ground.
"This is..."
Zuo Xuan began in a low voice.
"Skin-Stripping Lu Ying’er."
Fang Shuwen said,
"Doesn’t she know the Disguise Technique?
"In a bit, have her disguise your Young Pavilion Master and get him into a new set of clothes.
"The way he looks now is too conspicuous. He’ll be easily recognized once we disembark."
Zuo Xuan was stunned for a long moment before he quickly asked,
"What about the others?"
"The others?"
Fang Shuwen looked around.
"Isn’t everyone here? What other people... Oh, you mean the Seven Fiends of the Dark Sea?"
Zuo Xuan nodded repeatedly.
"Tossed in the sea."
Fang Shuwen said casually.
Zuo Xuan froze as if his pressure points had been struck. The four words, "Tossed in the sea," echoed endlessly in his mind.
His head was buzzing.
He muttered,
"You... you killed them all?"
Good heavens, how long had he even been gone?
He hadn’t killed some random thugs or nobodies...
These were the Seven Fiends of the Dark Sea, notoriously infamous throughout the Dark Sea Territory.
Yet judging by Fang Shuwen’s attitude, you’d think he had just stepped out to kill a few chickens.
