Chapter 231: Chapter 231: Uncle

Feng Qing’s expression immediately became grave as she looked at Wen Xing and said, "I’m going over now to save people; as many as I can. You, go to the county government quickly and find Uncle. Have him go to the County Magistrate to assemble a mountain search and rescue team to try to save more people."

Wen Xing heard Feng Qing’s words and felt somewhat uneasy, worried as she spoke, "Miss, I’m not at ease with you, I?"

Feng Qing spoke indisputably, "Go quickly."

Wen Xing dared not hesitate any longer. She had spent some time with Feng Qing and knew the girl’s temperament; once she decided on something, no one could change her mind.

"Alright, I’ll head to the county government immediately. Miss, be careful."

After saying this, Wen Xing worriedly glanced at Little Li on one side and said, "Little Li, you must protect the miss."

Little Li replied with two meows. Wen Xing was just about to use Qinggong to head towards the Qinghe County government when Feng Qing called her back and took the basket off her back; there were quite a few herbs inside, which might be needed soon.

Feng Qing took down the basket and waved to indicate Wen Xing to hurry. Wen Xing immediately left, while Feng Qing headed with Little Li towards the place where the mountain had collapsed.

Feng Qing, having reached Qinghe County, once rescued someone on the street and unexpectedly encountered her cousin. At that time, she had relieved the human-faced spider poison on her face, so her cousin immediately fixated on her, thinking she resembled her aunt.

Later, when her cousin returned home and mentioned this incident to her father, Uncle heard about it and immediately brought people over to confirm. Only then did they know Uncle’s family had settled in Qinghe County.

Feng Qing’s grandfather once served as the National Academy Sacrificial Officer, a teacher of many. During the late Emperor’s reign, he held this Sacrificial Officer in high regard.

Thus, the Xu Family was very prestigious at that time. But when her grandfather fell ill and the late Emperor passed away, the Xu Family’s standing plummeted.

Her grandfather only had two children in his lifetime, Uncle and her mother. Uncle was intelligent from a young age, ranking first in the children’s test and the local test. But his luck was poor, for when he was preparing to test again, his father passed away, requiring him to observe mourning for three years.

After mourning, the people at the Marquis Mansion over here couldn’t accept him, plotting against him, and eventually framed him for accidentally killing someone. Thus, Uncle was exiled to Shengzhou to serve in labor, and after several years, he wandered to Qinghe County to become a County Magistrate’s Clerk.

After learning about these things, Feng Qing just wanted to curse. Feng Lei Ting, that bastard, exiled Uncle just to bully her predecessor’s mother, right? Because the Xu Family’s power weakened, and the Lin Family rose, Feng Lei Ting wanted to promote his cousin, so he sent Uncle away and then caused his own wife to die of anger.

Scumbag.

Since learning about this matter, Feng Qing became more determined. When she returned to the capital one day, she would ensure Feng Lei Ting received his due punishment. Death wouldn’t even satisfy her; she wanted him to live a life worse than death.

However, Feng Qing was very happy to encounter family in Qinghe County, which made her settle down there and currently live at Uncle’s house.

The family treated her very well, which pleased her and made her feel even more at ease staying in Qinghe County.

As Feng Qing thought about this, she hurried with Little Li to the site of the landslide, where indeed people were injured, and cries of alarm were constant.

Feng Qing immediately approached with Little Li to start treating the injured. Among them, someone recognized Feng Qing and immediately cried out, "Doctor Feng, save me, I beg you to save me, I don’t want to die."
