Interstellar Era: Starting As a Cleaner

Chapter 115: Foodie Iron Bull

Chapter 115: Chapter 115: Foodie Iron Bull

Iron Bull stared at the Energy Pillar Yang Bo took out, utterly dumbfounded, its small eyes seeming much larger. The container insulated against Energy Fluctuations; otherwise, the Energy Stones emitted a certain amount of radiation that could affect surrounding equipment. Iron Bull couldn’t figure it out—it looked like nothing a moment ago, so why did it smell so incredibly appetizing now?

Why did it smell so good?

Drool flowed endlessly. Its eyes remained fixed on Yang Bo. It looked exactly like the dog Yang Bo used to keep back in his hometown—watching people eat, staring at the bones on their chopsticks, drool pooling on the floor, head completely still, just staring intently.

"Here, Iron Bull!" Yang Bo said, picking up an Energy Pillar and placing it near Iron Bull’s mouth.

Iron Bull seemed to understand. It took the Energy Pillar into its mouth and swallowed it in one gulp. Then, its little tail began wagging madly. Its two small, rhino-like ears flapped back and forth continuously, and its entire body bounced a few times, displaying immense excitement.

Yang Bo actually felt a bit uneasy, wondering if feeding the Energy Pillar to Iron Bull would cause any adverse effects.

After swallowing it, Iron Bull’s small eyes flicked between Yang Bo and the box on the ground, repeating this several times as if urging him to hurry up and give it more. Its drool hung longer than ever.

Looking at Iron Bull’s drool, Yang Bo felt it was a bit of a waste. He walked deeper into the cave—there was water in Iron Bull’s living area—washed the container that held the Energy Pillars clean, used glowing light from his hands to dry it, and then returned to Iron Bull’s side.

Iron Bull looked at Yang Bo with some suspicion, but its drool continued to flow. Yang Bo quickly caught a full container of it, sealed the lid, and took out an Energy Stone. The liquid inside the container felt somewhat gelatinous; it didn’t stick to the container or the Energy Stones.

Iron Bull took another bite and swallowed it. Its small eyes remained fixed on Yang Bo, and its two small ears flapped joyfully, as if saying, *More, more! I can handle it!*

All twelve Energy Pillars were eventually swallowed by Iron Bull. Yang Bo originally hadn’t intended to let it eat them all, but who knew this guy would act just like his old dog, staring unblinkingly at the box holding the Energy Pillars.

"Iron Bull, you can’t blame me for this. If something happens to you, I’ll just have to hand over your corpse. Who knows, you might even drop a Skill for me," Yang Bo muttered in his heart. After all, Iron Bull asked for it; he wasn’t intentionally trying to get it killed.

Unexpectedly, Iron Bull suffered no ill effects. On the contrary, its skin seemed to grow increasingly glossy.

Of course, Yang Bo didn’t walk away empty-handed either. He filled up the containers with Iron Bull’s drool and stored them inside the Mecha’s storage compartment. He then looked at the Bone Hammer to the side, glanced at the Energy Weapon in the Mecha’s hand, and a thought struck him.

He wondered, "Since I can now wield this Bone Hammer using Gravity Control, making it a compatible weapon of my own origin, could it be stored in the Mecha Space along with the Mecha?" This Bone Hammer was truly a Divine Artifact-like existence. He had no idea where it came from, but it was perfect for sneak attacks. Just imagine a Mecha wielding this thing!

The Anti-Gravity Power erupting from the Mecha would instantly increase a hundredfold! What kind of concept was that? It could probably smash a hole right through a Warship.

"Hehe!" Yang Bo decided to test it out right then and there. Surprisingly, the Mecha actually brought the Bone Hammer into the space along with it.

Yang Bo felt delighted, but keeping the Mechas at Base 16 in mind, he bid Iron Bull farewell and set off first. He found it a bit of a pain, especially when traveling under Invisibility, as Invisibility did not increase his speed.

Over an hour later, an exhausted Yang Bo finally arrived at Base 16. Because he had been rushing too fast, he was practically out of breath. Just as he entered Base 16, he heard a thunderous, BOOMING crash. Glancing over, he saw seven or eight Biological Mechas using a massive, dark object as a battering ram against the silver door. Astonishingly, the silver door had already been deformed.

He wondered, "Are the brains of these Mutants really that useless? Then again, for the most heavily guarded doors in a base like this, there really aren’t any good workarounds, even with high-tech methods. Not to mention, these Mutants don’t have much high-tech equipment anyway!" Yang Bo seemed to gain a new understanding.

"Third Huang, this is all your fault! If Black Blade were here, he would have opened this door ages ago. Why the hell did you go snooping around his place for no reason?" one of the Mutants on the scene complained.

Hearing this, the Tiger-faced King snapped back, "What kind of nonsense are you spouting? You make it sound like I actually killed that unlucky bastard. That guy was already on death’s door anyway. If you don’t believe me, go ask his subordinates! They were attacked by an unknown Mecha."

The surrounding Mutants burst into roaring laughter. If a Mecha dared to venture into the Underworld right now, wouldn’t it purely be seeking death?

"I’m telling the fucking truth! Why won’t you believe me?" The Tiger-faced King looked incredibly frustrated.

"Third Huang, at least try to make your lies sound believable next time. Besides, we all know what kind of character you have. It looks like from now on, you’re the first person we all need to be on guard against."

"Oh, as if the rest of you are so noble! Aren’t you all doing sneaky, underhanded things behind each other’s backs?"

The Mutants continued bickering noisily. After watching for a moment, Yang Bo quickly left.

He thought, "It looks like these guys can still get this door open using brute force."

Yang Bo observed for a while and realized that their clumsy method was actually quite effective. If they couldn’t crack the password, they would just smash it open. After all, these Biological Mechas possessed immense Power.

What Yang Bo didn’t know was that while he was operating the Mecha here, the alarm systems of the major Mecha companies were blaring simultaneously. According to their monitoring systems, these Mechas were supposed to be powered down in a state of storage. How were they suddenly active?

However, because the Mechas were stored in a military facility, the Mecha companies only knew that their stored Mechas had been forcefully booted up and their permissions altered; they had no access to the specific data.

The major Mecha companies hurriedly reported this to the military, but the military delayed their response. This was because the military itself was in a state of chaos. On one hand, the Green Demon Star had been attacked by Pirates; on the other, members of the Red Earl extremist organization were actually discovered aboard the Alliance’s strongest Warship! For the entire military, this was a slap in the face—a resounding slap in the face.

The military was now launching a massive internal investigation and self-correction campaign. As for the requests from the Mecha companies, their processing was much slower. The main reason was that the location of these Mechas was no longer under military control. Although the military was already treating the matter with high importance, finding out more detailed information remained somewhat difficult.
