Chapter 214: You can do the wrong thing, but you shouldn’t have bad intentions

“How would I know?” Qian Jin smiled at the merchant who asked him. “How about I go find him with you?”

“Find him?” These merchants all shook their heads after looking at each other. “Where? President Lee went to the Roll Family with the Cae Family and the Falker Family to eat it up, but the leader of the Roll Family and the primary guardian of Roll Family are both here.” They thought.

All the merchants here were smart. Although they didn’t think Qian Jin had killed all of them, they knew Lee Junta was in big trouble.

“Who is Qian Jin? Since Rollin died, he killed every member of the Cae Family who was in Oakland with his blade. He is murderous, and he is at the age where he doesn’t care about consequences. Find Lee Junta with him?”

“Even if Lee Junta is alive, who can be sure that they will see President Lee alive? [Demon sneaked in and performed assassinations], this excuse was used multiple time before. How would a mayor offend a Demon Fighter who can go insane anytime for a merchant when no proof can be presented?”

The merchants thought.

“What?” Qian Jin glanced around and asked, “Who else has objections against Rosella becoming the new president of the firm?”

“Uh… Mr. Qian Jin…” A white-haired old merchant walked out with a cane and said, “I’m Fend Saz. You might not be familiar with the rules of the firm. President Lee only has the nomination right, and the central firm has to be notified before…”

“Then just report to the central firm.” Qian Jin looked around and said: “Is there anyone who wants to be nominated? I will make it clear, Rosella is going to become the president! Anyone who wants to become the president will be killed by me!”

Killed by me! Killed by me! Qian Jin’s dominating threat resonated in the room.

The merchants all stared at Qian Jin as if they saw an undead creature. Never in their lives! They had never seen anything like this! An individual threatening all the merchants in the firm! “So what if you’re a Demon Fighter? We can hire a powerful assassin to kill you together!” They all thought.

“Hu…Hu….” Fend Saz breathed heavily as his wrinkled face got all red due to both fear and anger. He pointed at Qian Jin with his shaky cane and said, “You…you… we didn’t offend you, how dare you threaten us?”

“Didn’t offend me?” Qian Jin laughed as he took the document from the merchants’ hands. “I’m sure you guys knew what happened to the Roll Family. It’s true that none of you guys were there, but did you try to stop Lee Junta? Which one of you can say to me that you at least tried? Which one of you can say ‘Qian Jin, I wasn’t with Lee Junta on this! I didn’t help him to pressure the Roll Family! I didn’t try to eat up a part of the Roll Family last few days!’ Which one of you can say that?” He shouted

“This there anyone of you who can say that to me?” Qian Jin looked around as his murderous spirit got thicker and thicker. No one dared to look at him since everything he was saying was valid.

“As people, we can do the wrong thing, but we couldn’t have bad intentions!” Qian Jin looked around once more as he continued. “Everyone, Rosella will become the president! Not for other things, just one thing that I want to focus on! I want you all to remember this incident, so you call can be more respectful towards Rosella and the Roll Family!”

“I’m done.” Qian Jin backed off behind Rosella and said, “President, can you please take care of this Warrior and Mage Academy incident?”

Rosella got a bit more courage when she heard Qian Jin’s voice. She walked up to Rodriguez and said, “The academy is the foundation for our peace. We will settle this for the original price.”

“Ms. President…” Fend Saz knocked the ground with his cane and said as the noise resonated in the room. “This deal…”

Rosella looked up and replied, “Mr. Fend, since you addressed me as the president, then I have the right to decide this, correct?”

“Uh…” Fend Saz was surprised. He thought that if he went into the business, Qian Jin who wasn’t a part of the firm won’t have a voice. But he didn’t expect the former Vice-President who was quiet and never voiced her opinions would be this tough and pressing.

“I’m the president, and that is that.” Rosella stared at Fend Saz and said, “Anything else? If there isn’t, I will be going back. Tomorrow, all of you give back the stuff you took from our Roll Family. In terms of the properties of Lee Junta, we can divide it. Our Roll Family will take 50% of it, you guys can share the remaining 50%”

“50%” All the merchants looked at each other as they thought. “So it sounds like we are going to eat up all of the Lee Family’s business. So… Lee Junta is probably…..”

Rosella got into the carriage and asked Qian Jin with a scared expression as she tapped her chest. “Did I do ok?” She asked.

“Great!” Qian Jin gave her a thumbs up and praised, “A successful female merchant!’

Rosella stuck out her cute tongue and said, “Next, it’s going to be the Cae Family and the Falker Family. They are at fault, and their elite forces are all gone. I will send someone to negotiate with them and we should get a huge chunk of their businesses.”

Qian Jin who was about to whip the horse almost bit his own tongue. “Although this girl seems gentle and soft, she is like Rollin in terms of their business senses. I can’t match up to them in terms of this at all.

“I don’t know much about business stuff, but do it if you think it’s right.” Qian Jin whipped the horses and continued. “However, the leader of both families died, and I’m sure the two families know that we did it. Would they fight with us? If that happens… how about…”

“Probably not.” Rosella waved a feather pen that she got from somewhere and said, “Both families have more than one branches. Now, they should be fighting to get the position as the leader of the families. They would be begging for us to kill the current leaders so they get take their spots. Also…”

Qian Jin nodded continuously as he thought to himself. “I have underestimated this girl. I didn’t know that she knows a lot about the two families. Also, when she talks business, her timidity and softness would disappear. I wonder if she can actually deal with those merchants. Although we just did, who knows if they are trying to come up with something to deal with us?”

“What should we do?” Fend Saz asked the rest of the members.

Rodriguez had already left with another instructor, and there were only members in the room. It was obvious to them that Qian Jin signaled them that he killed Lee Junta. “So the Cae Family and the Falker Family probably…” They thought.

They all knew what level of forces both families brought with them this time. Even the mayor can’t beat them in terms of pure power and not status!

Now Qian Jin came with Rosella and the document from Lee Junta… “How powerful is he now? Protecting that girl in that level of battles?”

“Eh, whatever… She can be the president.”

“Yeah… She can be it… What does it matter who is the president?”

“You…” Fend Saz stared at everyone angrily. If Lee Junta died of natural cause, he should be the next president.

“Mr. Fend, let it go. You can ignore the benefits, but you have to consider the people. Both the Cae Family and the Falker Family are not as crazy as Qian Jin. I suspect that the Roll Family…”

Fend Saz shivered. Compared with profits, lives were more important. The Cae Family and the Falker Family can earn profit through negotiations, but Qian Jin was not a merchant! He was a pure warrior!

The warriors of Zence didn’t know what negotiation is when they are facing demons! This tough attitude of warriors was ironed into everyone’s mind. The word warrior was associated with toughness and zero compromises.

“Uh… whatever. You can say that I’m afraid of Qian Jin.” Fend Saz sighed. “She can be the president. Let’s all sign the report and send it to the central firm to get it over with.”

When Qian Jin got back to Roll Family, he was stopped by Fabreidis on the carriage before he can get off.

“Jane, look after here. I need to take these kids back home.” Fabreidis pushed Qian Jin back to the horse carriage that just carried the corpses out of the city and called on the other three young warriors. Fabreidis acted as the groom himself, and the carriage soon disappeared in front of the Roll Family.

The carriage took the path where there were little pedestrians. Under Fabreidis’ high riding skills, they arrived at Fabreidis’ place safe and sound.

“Come, come, come.” Fabreidis couldn’t hold back his excitement. He dragged Qian Jin into the room and only stopped when they got to a long table. He flipped his wrist and a gem like red stone appeared in his hand.

“Warrior Dimension!” Qian Jin’s eyes shone. “Of course! Masters like Uncle Fabreidis have Warrior Dimensions as well. But how big is his dimension? I heard from my master that space would get bigger as the warrior gets stronger. I haven’t got the chance to see if my dimension got bigger after my advancement to a Demon Capturer.” He thought.

“Red Lightning Blood Iron.” Qian Jin nodded as he said, “Great stuff. I read about it in a book. It can be only created by chance when lightning strikes on the rare Red Flame Star Iron that only exists in the lava in volcanos. It is a metal that is so pure that it almost doesn’t need the refining of a Forge Master. Maybe one can purchase it for a million gold coins?”

Duren Burg gasped as he heard Qian Jin’s introduction. “A million gold coins for this small piece of metal? It’s less than the size of two fists.”

“Actually 2,970,000 gold coins.” Fabreidis laughed. “And that was a discounted price for me.”

Qian Jin know knew why the notes Blake had emphasized that “As a Forge Master, you have to get your hands on every precious metal you come across!”

“A piece of Red Lightning Blood Iron was worth close to three million gold coins, so the cost of metals along for a set of armors and weapons would cost close to 10 to 100 million gold coins. That is enough for a lot of wealthy families to go bankrupt!”

“Stars Heavenly Fire Iron.” Fabreidis introduced the next pieces of metal in his hand. It was red and semi-transparent. Inside of it, it seemed like there was a fire burning inside of it. “Market price for it is 6,720,000 gold coins. There is a market for it, but no one is willing to sell. I found it in ancient ruins when I was young.”

“In legends, it can only form when meteors from the sky fall into a volcano or a heated high-quality forge. After absorbing heavenly fire and earthly fire, it has a slim chance of surviving.” Qian Jin looked at the metal that Fabreidis placed in his hands. He only saw this metal in Blake’s notes, he never dreamt of touching it in the real world.

“Eye of Desert”

Fabreidis placed a yellow fist-sized metal on the table. It looked like a huge piece of sand. Although it was on the table, Qian Jin felt the heat that it was emitting as if it brought the presence of the desert with it.

“Eye of Desert?…” Qian Jin tapped the metal with his finger as he murmured. “It would be even better if it is the Heart of Desert.”

“Heart of The Desert?” Fabreidis smiled helplessly. “If I can find that, then it can be forged into a Saint Weapon and not a Soul Weapon.”

Qian Jin played with the Eye of Desert. As the metal span on the table, he said, “Yeah, Heart of Desert is a material for Saint Weapon, I know that. Heart of Desert, Ice Land Chill Flame Iron, Sun Iron, Earth Furnace Melting Iron, these four metals with the magic core of the high-level Demon Beast Fire Thunder King can be forged into a Saint Weapon. It would be a blade, a bow, a sword, or a shield. Anything.”

“Shit! You know what is needed to forge a Saint Weapon?” Duren Burg lit up a cigarette and said, “Hey, comrade. I feel more inferior as I know more about you.”

Qian Jin smiled and didn’t reply. If he didn’t grab the wrong book off of Blake’s shelf, he won’t know this. Even if he knew, these materials were so rare that they are almost extinct. Even if he encountered one, the accompanying Demon Beasts would be troublesome as well.

[All rare materials in nature are protected by accompanying demon beasts! The rarer the material, the more powerful the demon beast would be. Therefore, in order to be a great blacksmith, you have to be strong.]

Qian Jin remembered a line he read in Blake’s notes. The notes made Qian Jin admire the old blacksmith even more. The notes recorded the special abilities of all accompanying demon beasts and their weakness. Anyone who read it would feel like the author had killed those demon beasts before.

The terrain requirement and locations of where these materials could be born were also documented. If Qian Jin got the chance to go into the desert – Ancient Desert Sea, he might be able to look for the legendary Heart of Desert in there.

“Ancient Desert Sea?” Qian Jin tapped his head as he got rid of this dangerous idea. Didn’t matter if it was in the territory of the demons of Zence, there were danger zones. Either they were dangerous by nature or powerful demon beast resided there. It would even be dangerous for bloodline warriors to go in there.

Ultimate Bloodline Warrior who had their Ultimate Awakening also didn’t have to opportunities to reach the deepest part of these zones. Both demons and humans would place their Ultimate Bloodline Warrior at the Human-Demon Battlefront to encounter the Ultimate Bloodline Warrior that the other empire had.

Ancient Desert Sea! In a document at Qian Family, an Elf King Bloodline Warrior who had five awakenings went there to seek the treasure that was rumored to be in there. However, he never returned.

Ten Thousand Fire Eye Mountains, Ancient Desert Sea, Sunset Mountains, Shadow East Sea… On top of unknown ruins at the Zence Empire, there were more than a dozen dangers zones that were rumored to retain great treasures.

Although these places were filled with danger, adventurers visited them frequently! Mercenaries and adventurers would risk their lives to go there, and some of them returned with treasures. These places always attracted people who wanted to make a fortune.

Bam! Flame Patterned Steel slammed on the table and interrupted Qian Jin’s thoughts.

“8,000,000 gold coins and people are not willing to sell.” Fabreidis quickly added when he saw Qian Jin opening his mouth. “This is a Flame Patterned Steel a hundred meters under the ocean. Don’t ask me about Flame Patterned Steel a thousand meters under the ocean or Flame Patterned Steel ten thousand meters under the ocean. I can’t get that deep. 800 meters is my limit! Also, don’t mention to me about Ocean Heart Flame Iron. No one knows where it can be found.”

Qian Jin smiled as he caressed this metal. It was emitting a little heat and a red light. If it entered the sea, it would start burning. The deeper it went, the bigger the flames. The flames won’t be extinguished by the water at all! Qian Jin read that the metal used the water as a fuel, just like how fire used wood and gas as a fuel on land.
