Chapter 274: Qian Jin’s Creation

“Oh really?” Duren Burg turned to Qian Jin. “Hi my comrade, have you found that Kunge has become bolder now.”

Qian Jin lowered his head, took out the little iron hammer from his warrior dimension, and concentrated on scraping the husk of the Sand Scorpion King. He then ground the husk into thin powder as he carefully tucked it away. He had a lot to do; after straightening up his mind, he decided to finish his due task step by step. The husk of the Sand Scorpion had great effects on bone injuries, and their meat tasted delicious.

Water was not enough for survival in the Ancient Desert Sea. But with water and no food, one could easily die at any time as well.

Most of the corpses of the demons beasts in the Ancient Desert Sea were poisonous, or despicably unappetizing. Sometimes when you attempted to eat them, you might reversely be eaten by them.

After being broken down and moved to this hall behind the water curtain, Sand Scorpion became their main food for the days to follow.

Cech Flet aimlessly looked at a pile of bones nearby. The story he had just heard was too eerie to be believed. As something existing only in the traveling poets’ stories, could the undead be virtually haunting places around the world?

Qian Jin placed aside part of the Sand Scorpion powder, knelt down in front of Cech Flet, and kept frowning. It wasn’t a hard task to procure the drugs for healing Cech’s injuries as he had already made some in the Ruins when they were in the frontier, and there was still some stockpile available now. But the palm strike of Lucifer Lucy had not only hurt Cech’s bones, but also his energy connections, warrior reservoirs, and internal organs. The potions for healing all these injuries were difficult to be found within a short time.

The Ancient Desert Sea was such a marvelous place that any medicinal material might be discovered here. However, the premise was that you had to survive first.

Now he had fractured both of his arms…Qian Jin curled his lips, knowing that it was extremely hard for him to survive in this place even if his hands were intact. How on earth could he search for the necessary materials?

The injuries were to be healed, but the question lied in how? Qian Jin played with a branch of Spring Grasses and then looked to Cech Flet, wondering what if he used these materials for making regular potions. Maybe the answer remained unknown to even Eulalia and Adams?

Potions and mystic potions were in a fierce contest with each other from the very beginning, and the harsh debate between pharmacists and mystic pharmacists had just intensified the minute these two professions came into being.

Those who engaged in potions looked down upon those in mystic potions, while the practitioners of mystic potions despised those of pharmacists too. Two sides rigorously confined themselves within their groups and never for a second did they get involved in the opposite realms.

“What about using mutated plants to make an ordinary potion?” Qian Jin shrunk his neck, knowing that this idea was too risky. If it was known by Eulalia, she must send him to death with a bottle of poison. And even the generally kind-heartedly Pharmacy Master Adams would surely pour him a bowl of toxins as well.

“Is there any reason for allowing such a student to live in this world? Rather poison him to death.”

Qian Jin seemed to have heard his two teachers, so he shrunk his neck and looked at the medicinal herbs grasped in his hand. Both potions and mystic potions were highly esoteric subjects, none of which could be completely learned even with one’s whole lifetime, let alone be mastered two at the same time.

The one who was proficient in both potion and mystic potion hadn’t be born to this world yet, neither had the one who was able to naturally switch between these two subjects.

“No one dared try this before…” Qian Jin smelled the Spring Grasses in his hand as he thought. “It doesn’t mean I can’t try; as long as I do not tell my two teachers.”

Iron Metal Grasses would make one’s bones extremely stiff and hard to be bent.

While Soft Liner Grasses would turn a person’s limbs as soft as a puddle of mud.

“The original form of these two mutated herbs are common, and their medicinal effects are moderate.” Qian Jin scratched his head and contemplated their differences. “Later on, their effects were exerted to an extreme extent by mystic pharmacists via extreme means. An ordinary person who happened to take them would become incapacitated, though they might not necessarily die.”

“It is impossible to recover the attributes of these herbs to the original.” Qian Jin rambled in the seas of flowers and grasses. “But maybe I could find some alternative herbs to compromise their effects. By adding some pollen of the Blood Tear Demon Flower…”

Pungent and exotic medicine herbs danced in the upward of ten jade bowls, beakers, and tubes of different colors and textures. Simmered by the fire, they produced a grumbling sound and a pungent blood-like smell. To everyone, the looming smoke resembled the head of a skeleton.

Qian Jin hurried to the Ancient Desert Sea through the water passage and came back with a green Four-Legged Snake which was sizzling with vigor. But after it was thrown into the tube, the snake stopped moving at all in the blink of an eye.

The white belly of the snake churned in the liquid in the tube, looking as horrific as could be. The greenness disappeared from its body, slid through its mouth and exuded into the potion in the tube.

“I didn’t count on the existence of the Green Godly Snake…… I had intended to catch some ordinary Grey-Brown Snakes.”

Qian Jin looked at the gradually cooled potion, poured them carefully into four bowls, and handed it to Cech Flet. “This is made by me, and I’m sure of its level of efficacy, so you can just have a try. But whether it has side effects is hard to say.”

At the sight of Cech Flet’s expression in drinking the potion, Duren Burg subconsciously stepped back for two feet, figuring that this potion must be extremely disgusting; this stone-faced man, who didn’t show any signs of pain when his chest caved in after the enemy’s punch, was now wearing tears on his face.

After this hustle and bustle, the entire world went silent again.

Fanta Kunge held the bronze saber taken out by Qian Jin from his warrior dimension and started training from the Gold Essence Warrior Power Training Scroll.

Duren Burg closed his eyes and practiced his in-born bloodline warrior power circulation. While Qian Jin took out his mage hat from the warrior dimension, found a quiet place, covered the hat over his face and directly entered Endless World.

The familiar village and the chimney smoke appeared in his eyes, so did the faraway horrific West Mountain towering high into the sky.

“Injured?”

The second Qian Jin stepped into the courtyard of the blacksmith’s shop, he heard the greeting from Blake in a slightly surprising way.

Injured? Qian Jin looked at his arms dropping by his flanks. It seemed that the injuries incurred outside would remain the same when you returned to the endless world.

“Don’t be in a hurry to start forging.” Blake smoked from the pipe while smacking his lips. “Go to Adams first and ask for some medicine to cure yourself.”

“Take some medicine?” Qian Jin stopped with an awkward look. “Uncle, I’m after all a Level 10 Pharmacist. I have already taken the medicine. And after a couple of days…”

“You call your stuff medicine?” Blake didn’t even lift his eyelids, “It could at most be called herbs with certain medicinal effects.”

Herbs with medicinal effects? Qian Jin forced a bitter smile at the remarks on his being a Level 10 Pharmacist. It seemed that he had overestimated himself, as a Level 10 Pharmacist was nothing to brag about. “All right, I’d better go to Uncle Adams’ to see what kind of medicine he could provide me with.” Qian Jin thought to himself.

Qian Jin walked out of the blacksmith shop and then walked by the wall toward Adam’s Potion Shop. Every time Eulalia poured Volcano Potion into his mouth, she would iterate that the potion he was taking was so powerful that no injuries would be caused thereafter.

But now, the promised iron-and-steel figure was damaged. If this scene was caught by Eulalia, she might be likely to do something insane to protect her pride as a mystic pharmacist.

“Em? Isn’t this Qian Jin? For what are you coming here so early?”

The husky voice of Adams pierced the entire street. Qian Jin could feel that there was a pair of aloof eyes stared at his back.

Slowly, and slowly…

Qian Jin turned back and saw an intoxicatingly beautiful woman wearing a smile. Yet such a seemingly hospitable smile made people feel terrified as if a poisonous serpent was gazing at a frog.

“Why do you keep on facing your back at me?” Eulalia crossed her arms over her chest. Her bulging bosom couldn’t be covered by the loose mystic pharmacist robe, instead, it took on a more seductive shape. “Do you intend to go looking for Adams, the stupid donkey, secretly?”

“Stupid donkey?” Adams rushed out of his shop; his plump body nearly smashed the door. He then growled in great anger, “Damn woman, who are you cursing?”

“You.”

A bottle filled with purple mystic potion was rolling over in the sky and then fell down on Adams’ face like a grenade.

Adams lowered his head, and the bottle thumped on the doorframe, through which purple liquid flew along the door to the ground. Qian Jin felt lucky for Adams, as this bottle of potion was just a joke; it could neither be used for killing nor for healing. Its only use was removing hair.

Once Eulalia let Qian Jin catch a wild wolf, upon which she poured this medicine. Shortly the wolf became naked and lowered its protruding head and adamant-looking eyes.

After throwing out this bottle, Eulalia lifted her hand and pointed at Qian Jin. “His arms are broken. Haven’t you seen it? How dare you call yourself an expert in potions? There is a well in my backyard, which I think is the best place for you to drown and kill yourself. You stupid donkey.”

“You’ve broken your arms?” Adams stopped feeling enraged and started looking Qian Jin up and down. “Broken at so many joints? How did you get hurt so severely? Follow me, and I will make you some medicine.”

Qian Jin hurriedly stood up and followed Adams toward the room; he felt grateful that the appearance of Uncle Adams distracted Eulalia, or else…
