The pretty priestess controlled her red whip and separated the two of them. Jiang Yi asked Mei Ru to send a message to the priestess, to use all her powers to fight back the demonic dragon king first. Although he had many questions for the priestess, it was not the time yet to ask.

The priestess actually had not suffered any heavy injuries just now, only superficial wounds. Her dress had powerful defensive abilities that were not something the mere weight of a demonic dragon king could break through. She was ferociously attacking the demonic dragon king now. Jiang Yi, however, did not dare to launch any attacks. The demonic dragon king’s speed was too fast; he could do nothing useful.

The demonic dragon king’s underbelly had been sliced open, and blood was flowing out uncontrollably. Its speed had evidently been slowed. However, it was as ferocious as ever. He had continuously sent seven to eight Fierce Warriors flying and had killed a few dozen Brave Warriors.

“All are to retreat!”

Jiang Yi saw that the Brave Warriors were not a match for the demonic dragon king at all and asked the priestess to give the command. Chui Ye and the others did not dare to defy her and swiftly backed away. Jiang Yi took the opportunity and retreated as well.

Jiang Yi realized that many savages were looking at him differently now. He was the one who had rescued the priestess before. The crux was that he had hugged her and rolled about for a while; many were envious and jealous of his good fortune. After all, the priestess had the status of a Sacred Lady; who would dare to slight her?

The intense battle continued. The demonic dragon king had gone crazy and was attacking all the Fierce Warriors. It was also rushing to attack the Brave Warriors present; many Brave Warriors perished. Jiang Yi was very smart and had backed away earlier on; to be a hero now would only be courting one’s death. This demonic dragon king was going to die sooner or later; at Jiang Yi’s current speed—although he wouldn’t be killed by the demonic dragon king, he could potentially be wounded by it.

The priestess continued with her pursuit and many a time pierced the demonic dragon king’s underbelly, widening the wound. It was losing more and more blood as its speed continued to decrease. Five minutes later, it suddenly wailed loudly as it turned and fled. With this wail, the other demonic dragons all retreated as well; the battle was finally over.

“Clean up this place, rest for a while. We will depart soon after.”

Jiang Yi asked the priestess to give such an order. However, he did not stupidly go near the priestess; that would attract attention. He only asked Mei Ru to let the priestess find an opportunity to call him over.

Chui Ye and company had started to clean up the battlefield. The ring on the priestess’ hand lit up as she retrieved a Heaven Fate Canopy and went inside to rest. Many people were amazed at the Heaven Fate Canopy, but no one dared to ask too many questions.

“You, come here. The priestess requests your presence.”

After a while, a Fierce Warrior surrounding the Heaven Fate Canopy suddenly gestured towards Jiang Yi. Many savages looked towards Jiang Yi; they were filled with envy and jealousy. Some even secretly regretted not rushing forward just now to save the priestess. If not, they would be the ones the priestess would be summoning now.

Jiang Yi’s expression was one of fear and trepidation, although he was secretly smiling inside; he slowly walked into the tent. As he entered, there was a flash and he was in a lady’s private quarters. That priestess was standing respectfully and knelt down when she saw Jiang Yi. She greeted, “Wu Que’er pays her respects to my Lord.”

“Wu Que’er?”

Jiang Yi’s eyes flashed as he suddenly thought of something and asked in a low voice,” What is your relationship with Wu Ying’er?”

Wu Que’er looked slightly shocked as she truthfully said, “She is my elder sister.”

“What?”

Jiang Yi suddenly forgot himself and yelled out. Wu Ying’er was Wu Ni’s elder sister! When Jiang Yi was hunting Wu Ni and attacking the Flood Martial City back then, he had once taken Wu Ying’er and her husband hostage. He knew Wu Ying’er quite well. Now, this Wu Que’er had said that Wu Ying’er was her sister? That meant that Wu Que’er was also a sibling of Wu Ni; a lady of the Wu Clan?

His eyes flashed coldly as he hurriedly asked, “Is your father the North Emperor? Is your grandfather the North Thearch?”

“Yes!” Wu Que’er nodded and answered very surely.

“North Thearch!”

Jiang Yi gritted his teeth as he yelled out furiously, his eyes full of rage as his facial muscles became taut. Since Wu Que’er was one of the mastermind’s henchmen, that meant the mastermind… was the North Thearch!

The Buddha Thearch and others’ reasoning, Yin Ruobing’s guarantee… Wu Shang’s actions during the battle between the humans and the demons; all these had dispelled Jiang Yi’s suspicion of the North Thearch being the mastermind. Jiang Yi had also thought that being one of the Nine Thearch Clans, the Wu Clan’s rules were iron-clad; and the elders in the clan would not support the North Thearch’s depraved behavior. Who would have thought that it was really the North Thearch behind everything!

If it really was the Wu Clan, many things would make much more sense.

The information that Ji Tingyu and the Wu Clan had on him was very complete; they were very clear of the relationship Jiang Yi had with Jiang Yunhai, Qian Gui, Shui Youlan, Yun Tianqing, and company. Furthermore, the Shadow Emperor had mentioned that five Wu Clan Demigods had mysteriously disappeared while only a few Demigods had gone to the Stellarsky Continent; everything here matched up.

Together with everything that had happened afterward; Jiang Yi being lured to attack the Evil Thearch City and Beast Thearch City was obviously for the sake of instigating a war between him and the two clans. No matter who won, the entire continent would be in even more chaos; the Wu Clan could then reap the most out of the situation.

The objective of instigating the thirty-six clans to attack the Yi Clan was also clear: that was to set a trap for Jiang Yi at Stupa City to kill him. Regarding the war between the humans and the demons, the North Thearch had played a crucial role in framing Ao Lu and in the formation of the alliance army.

Even more things… now that it was confirmed that the North Thearch was the mastermind, everything seemed to make much more sense.

“Something isn’t right though!”

Jiang Yi thought furiously for a while; there were still some doubts in his mind. This time, the mastermind was incredibly strong; no one clan could have planned and executed everything. One point, in particular, was still in doubt—many of those Demigods that had attacked were unfamiliar faces and had never been seen before on the continent. It was impossible that the Wu Clan had kept so many mysterious Demigods hidden.

“The Heaven Nether Sect!”

Jiang Yi’s eyes once again flashed a cold glow. The Heaven Nether Sect had formed a marriage alliance with the Wu Clan while the previous Saint Lady was Wu Ni’s mother. Together with the mysterious Xing Mengwan, Jiang Yi started to piece things together.

His gaze furiously swept towards Wu Que’er as he coldly asked, “Everything that has happened this time; is the Heaven Nether Sect involved?”

“What Heaven Nether Sect?”

Wu Que’er blinked in confusion as she answered, “What is my Lord saying? What has Heaven Nether Sect been involved in?”

“You do not know?”

Jiang Yi was utterly confused, as he asked again, “Do you not know what has happened outside? Your Wu Clan is plotting to take over the entire Stellarsky Domain; do you not know?”

“I do not know.”

Wu Que’er was even more perplexed as she said, “We had entered here one and a half years ago. We have never left since; we do not know what has happened outside.”

If Jiang Yi did not know that Wu Que’er did not dare to lie to him, Jiang Yi would have slapped her. He asked in bewilderment, “Then how have you guys been communicating with the outside world? How did you know I had entered? How did the Buddha Thearch’s Vajra Scepter leave this place? Oh right, are the Buddha Thearch and company still alive?”

Before Wu Que’er had been bewitched by Mei Ru, she had indeed called his name and had said that once Jiang Yi had entered the Death God’s Dense Sea, his fate had been sealed. That meant that she had received news and knew that he had entered this place.

“We have a very strong message transmitting secret formation.”

Wu Que’er honestly explained and said, “I know that you have entered because my clan had sent word. As for the situation outside, no one has told us anything. The Buddha Thearch and company’s weapons were also sent out using a special Teleportation Formation. En, the Buddha Thearch and company are still alive; they are being held in the Saint Emperor City.”

“So long as they are not dead, all is good!”

Jiang Yi breathed out loudly. Now that he had control over Wu Que’er, there was a higher possibility he could save the Buddha Thearch and others.

He paused for a moment and did not ask anything more about the Heaven Nether Sect. Wu Que’er seemed to know little; there was no point in asking her. He asked the most important question, “Could you help me to rescue the Buddha Thearch and others and send us out of the Death God’s Dense Sea?”

“No!”

After Wu Que’er thought for a while, she said firmly, “It should not be hard to rescue the Buddha Thearch and company; however, I have no way to send you guys out.”

“Why?” Jiang Yi’s eyes flashed coldly; he had a bad premonition.

Wu Que’er smiled bitterly and said, “That is because no one here can leave! If not, a few months ago, we wouldn’t have needed to send the Buddha Thearch and company’s weapons out; we could have just sent their corpses out instead.”
