Chapter 1210: Held To The Same Standards

Chapter 1210: Held To The Same Standards

Avia, Mirael and Kian examined the Golden Eternity Pill presented by Rygar.

"I hate to admit it, but he has some skills." Mirael thought to herself as she inwardly shook her head.

Mirael found Rygar to be a thorn in her side. He constantly made advances toward her despite the fact that she turned him down multiple times. However, as an Apothecary, she could not help but be objective when it came to the results before her—regardless of her personal feelings toward Rygar.

"A normal Golden Eternity Pill can preserve a person’s physical body and prevent their condition from worsening. But, this is a Golden Eternity Pill that has achieved a heavenly blessed pill core rank. Not only can it still be used to preserve the condition of someone’s physical body, it can draw in outside energies that can heal even the most vicious of physical wounds." Mirael commented.

"In terms of crafting technique, the Golden Eternity Pill is one of the most difficult grade four pills. One has to delicately handle overbearing herbs like Night’s Eye and Wishful Grace Leaves. It is something that is impossible to achieve unless one has an ample amount of experience." Kian stated.

"This Golden Eternity Pill certainly stands at the pinnacle of grade four pills. Overall, I have no complaints about the crafting method and pill quality. That being said, in terms of uniqueness—I expected more from an experienced grade seven Apothecary. Using a recipe created by the Apothecary Guild instead of one you created yourself, it is a bit disappointing." Avia said unhurriedly.

"I agree with Apothecary Avia. Crafting a pill developed through countless hours of research by the Apothecary Guild is something I would expect from Apothecary Izroth given his current grade—not you, Apothecary Rygar." Mirael added.

"These two are just trying to make things difficult for me...!" Rygar thought to himself as he forced a smile.

"Apothecary Avia, Apothecary Mirael—there is nothing in the rules of the Right of Challenge that does not allow for the crafting of pills created by the Apothecary Guild. Regardless of the difference in grade between myself and Apothecary Izroth, the Right of Challenge treats those competing against each other as equals. Surely, you won’t expect Apothecary Izroth to craft a grade four pill of his own creation, will you?" Rygar stated with a meaningful look in his eyes as his lips curved into a small smirk.

"Apothecary Rygar is correct. There is nothing in the rules that state one cannot craft a pill developed by the Apothecary Guild or anyone else for that matter. If we judge Apothecary Rygar with these standards, I am afraid we will have to hold Apothecary Izroth to the same level." Kian commented.

After listening to Rygar and Kian’s words, most of those present agreed with their outlook.

In the Right of Challenge, both participants were equal, regardless of their actual Apothecary rank. To use difference standards in judgment would be unfair to Apothecary Rygar.

Of course, there were also those who agreed with Avia and Mirael’s point of view that Rygar should hold himself to a higher standard as a grade seven Apothecary.

"Apothecary Kian has great judgment and foresight." Rygar complimented.

"Who says I’m unwilling to be held to that standard?" Izroth said as he stepped forward.

Izroth’s words sent a wave of shock throughout the room.

"Where did this guy come from? Who is his master for him to behave so arrogantly?" One of the Apothecaries commented.

"Same standards? I didn’t even see him craft a pill! When he loses this Right of Challenge, he should be permanently banned from the Apothecary Guild and stripped of his rank! He’s a disgrace to all Apothecaries!"

"Yeah! Kick him out of the Apothecary Guild!"

"He wasted our time delaying the promotion test for this nonsense! If we don’t teach him a lesson, others might think to do the same in the future!"

The crowd of Apothecaries began to get rowdy as many of them called for Izroth to be kicked out of the Apothecary Guild.

"Audacious!" Avia’s voice boomed as her aura flooded the room, causing the Apothecaries to immediately fall silent under the immense pressure as they struggled to even stand upright.

She then continued, "The Right of Challenge is a sacred competition! How dare you act out so wildly!"

"This pressure...! S-She’s a legendary realm powerhouse!" An Apothecary muttered as he trembled.

"A grade seven Apothecary and a legendary realm expert! It’s no wonder she’s not afraid of offending others..!"

"Apothecary Avia—t-this behavior is too overbearing!" Rygar said with a darkened expression.

"I am simply reminding those present that the Right of Challenge is not to be taken lightly. It is not a place where one can act as they please. As the leading judge, I will not tolerate such outbursts. This is a warning. Next time, I will not be so understanding." Avia stated coldly as she lifted the pressure and recalled her aura.

In truth, Avia did not care much about the "sacred competition". She was merely annoyed that a bunch of fools who spoke out of turn without knowing anything and badmouthed Izroth.

"How dare they insult the young master! If this was not the Apothecary Guild, I would have taught them a harsher lesson in the young master’s place!" Avia thought to herself.

’She may not have been able to lift a finger against someone like the Holy Maiden, but she’s still a person who has stepped into the legendary realm. The fact that she’s also a grade seven Apothecary and herbalist expert—ordinary people cannot afford to offend her. The Fifth Great Clan was actually willing to abandon a talent like her... I will have to thank them in the future.’

"I apologize for the interruption, Apothecary Izroth. Please, proceed with presenting your pill." Avia said.

Everyone present was taken aback by Avia’s sudden shift in attitude. Apologize? Please? Was this the same person who just suppressed the entire room into silence with a single action? Where did that overbearing nature go?

"The results are a bit disappointing. But, so be it." Izroth said as he opened his hand and revealed three bright golden pills.

He then handed the pills over to be judged.

"Eh? He managed to form pills?" A nearby Apothecary said quietly.

"I didn’t even see it... Are we sure he didn’t cheat...?"

"What kind of idiot would dare to cheat in front of this many Apothecaries and a legendary realm expert? Besides, everyone knows recently formed pills have a distinct scent and aura that cannot be replicated. Even if he wanted to cheat, it would be impossible."

"Still, didn’t he spend less than a minute crafting those pills? No matter what he presents, can it be better than Apothecary Rygar’s Golden Eternity Pill?"

"T-this is...!" Mirael jolted to her feet as she examined the pill.

"Amazing...! It’s simply amazing...! I’ve never seen a grade four pill like this before. The effects should be related to life..." Kian muttered as he furrowed his brows and studied the pill.

"You are too hard on yourself, Apothecary Izroth. These pills possess a heavenly blessed pill core rank. The quality is not inferior at all to the Golden Eternity Pills that Apothecary Rygar presented. Not to mention, in all my years as an Apothecary, I have never seen a grade four pill with these characteristics before." Avia mentioned.

"He made three heavenly blessed pills?! But he didn’t even spend one minute crafting! Is it a secret crafting technique?" Van exclaimed.

"As a grade three Apothecary, maybe one out of every three hundred pills I craft is heavenly blessed. How can he make three like it’s nothing? Didn’t he say the results were disappointing? Then, in his eyes, are the pills we craft nothing but garbage on the side of the road?" Korzon sighed in a defeated manner.

Korzon’s thoughts were similar to many of the Apothecaries there as the atmosphere changed once more. Not long ago, they were all badmouthing Izroth and shouting that he be kicked out of the Apothecary Guild. Now, not only did he present a grade four pill, but all three pills also possessed a heavenly blessed pill core rank. That was only one step below the highest divine pill core rank!

Celia shook her head as she witnessed the dejected and defeated expressions of the Apothecaries below.

"Idiots, this is why you don’t go comparing yourself to true geniuses. It’s just as my master said, you will die of frustration listening to them speak." Celia sighed as she shrugged her shoulders.

’Originally, I planned on making a pill with a divine pill core rank, but it’s more difficult than I anticipated. In the end, is it possible that only pills in the divine realm can achieve a divine pill core rank?’

"It’s not surprising that Apothecary Avia has never heard of this pill before—since it is a pill recipe that I came up with myself." Izroth stated calmly.
