Cooldown: None

’A talisman? It’s the first time I’ve seen a talisman inscribed on an orb instead of an actual slip. Is this one of the methods they used to employ around 2,600 years ago?’

Despite its physical appearance, the orb freed from the Serva Stone was actually a talisman. The effects were also quite powerful compared to the standard rare talismans one would see in current days.

’A rare talisman made in a rather interesting way... So, this is what it considers to be able middle value. Then, what kind of item will show a full 100 value?’

Izroth took the orb and placed it into his inventory.

"I will keep this item." Izroth said casually.

"I understand. Since you are a Diamond-Level VIP of your Golden Treasure House, we also offer free appraisal services. Would you like to have your item appraised by one of our experts?" Pearl suggested.

"That’s alright. I have my own methods." Izroth replied as he continued to walk around the venue.

He then continued, "Since I’ll be buying quite a bit, it would save some time if the two of you accompanied me."

"If that is your request, we are happy to comply." Pearl responded gracefully.

"With my reputation as the best Serva Stone Master on the line, I won’t let you down." Gillian stated proudly.

"I will hold you to your word, Serva Stone Master Gillian." Izroth stated as he halted his steps and handed the black card to Pearl.

He then said as he pointed to the Serva Stones, "This one, this one, also this one..."

Izroth walked throughout the venue without stopping as he pointed out the Serva Stones he wanted opened.

"Ah, m-my apologies, please wait one moment, esteemed guest. I will call over a few more attendants and helpers to aid in gathering the Serva Stones you have selected." Pearl said as she lightly touched her right earring.

Not long after she did so, three more attendants appeared alongside two burly men.

"Move all the Serva Stones selected by the esteemed guest to section 31. Do not allow a single scratch." Pearl instructed.

Once she gave her orders, the attendants and the helpers began to move like a well oiled machine. And, after Pearl made the proper arrangements, Izroth continued his casual stroll through the venue. Every few steps or so, Izroth chose a Serva Stone.

"Miss Pearl, section 31 is filled. Permission to clear out the adjacent sections?" One of the burly men asked with a sense of urgency.

"Permission granted. If you need to clear out any other adjacent sections, feel free to do so and inform me once the task has been completed. We cannot allow a moment’s waste when it comes to the needs of our esteemed guest." Pearl replied firmly.

In the blink of an eye, a few more attendants and helpers joined in. Naturally, this began to attract the attention of the other individuals attending the Golden Treasure Hunt.

"Who is that person? They’re buying so many Serva Stones. Isn’t he afraid he’ll go broke gambling that much?" One of the individuals, a merchant looking fellow called Jona, commented.

"Probably just someone bored with more money than they know what to do with. It’s rare that nobles participate in the Golden Treasure Hunt since anything worth having will be up for auction. But, it’s not uncommon for one to appear every now and again to flaunt their wealth." A thin and frail looking man next to Jona called Gregory, commented.

"So, do you think that person will get anything useful? Wouldn’t it be kind of funny if they only got a bunch of junk?" Jona chuckled.

"Heh, this isn’t your first time at the Golden Treasure Hunt. As you know, you’re more likely to find junk or useless trinkets than you are anything actually worthwhile. They’re just throwing away money." Gregory commented.

"Seeing how fast they’re buying the Serva Stones, what they’re doing is no different than gambling. It’s true that there’s no way of telling what’s inside a Serva Stone. But, there are some methods to at least determine the potential value of what’s inside. Though it doesn’t look like that person is accompanied by any Serva Stone Appraisers. Well, even the most skilled of Serva Stone Appraisers wouldn’t be able to determine an item’s potential worth at that speed." Jona stated as he observed Izroth’s actions.

"Hey, want to place a bet? How many of those items will turn out to be useless junk?" Gregory suggested.

"Oh? That sounds like a bet with terrible odds. Well, count me in. I’ll bet that at least 90% of it is useless junk. Given how many that person’s buying, they’re bound to hit a few somewhat useful items here and there." Jona said confidently.

"Then, I’ll bet that 95% of it is junk. Do you have any idea how difficult it is to find genuine treasures inside a Serva Stone? I’ve been coming to the Golden Treasure Hunt for over a decade and have only found three treasures. There may be thousands of Serva Stones here, but luck can only take you so far." Gregory sighed as he shook his head.

"Oh? Who’s this? Jona, Gregory—you two talking about a bet with that madman going on a spending spree? I want in on that action. But, I will bet that person will find at least two treasures." A young man with a handsome appearance said as he approached Jona and Gregory.

"Tch, who invited you, Forza? Well, since you’re betting with those insane odds, I guess we can let you in on it. Since it’s come to this, if we’re going to do it, why not do it like true merchants would?" Jona stated with a grin as a meaningful look appeared in his eyes.

...

Several moments later...

’This much should do.’

After touring the entire venue, Izroth had selected exactly 468 Serva Stones of varying ages out of the thousands present.

In the end, Izroth blew through the 100,000 gold coins attached to his Diamond-Level VIP card and ended up spending 436,800 gold coins the Serva Stones he purchased. This meant that he currently owed the Golden Treasure House 336,800 gold coins that had to be paid with back 5% interest.

Furthermore, they had to clear out more than ten sections in the venue area to house all the Serva Stones Izroth selected.

As for the opening of the Serva Stones, Izroth decided to leave every last one of them to the Serva Stone Master Gillian. After he witnessed his skills firsthand, Izroth decided that he was someone worth leaving such an important matter to.

However, this did leave a somewhat sour taste in the mouths of the other Serva Stone Masters. This was due to the simple fact that if an item opened by one of the Serva Stone Masters went up for auction, the one who opened it would receive a 3% commission from the Golden Treasure House.

Items that went up for auction typically sold for a minimum of 1,000 gold coins. And, even that was considered to be on the lower end of things. Some items even went for hundreds of thousands of gold coins. As for those legendary one of a kind treasures—it was not impossible for its value to step into the millions of gold coins.

Being able to potentially earn 30,000 gold coins in a single day—how could the other Serva Stone Masters not be filled with envy toward Gillian.

"Phew..." Gillian released a small breath as he wiped the sweat from his brow.

He then said, "When he said he’d leave it all to me, he really wasn’t kidding. Ha, well, not that I’m complaining. It’s been a while since I’ve had such a good workout."

As Gillian opened the Serva Stones, a crowd had gathered around the area where Izroth’s Serva Stones had been moved to. This crowd was mainly there because it was the first time many of them had seen someone buy so many Serva Stones and open them up at once. They were curious as to what was inside.

Though, most of the crowd was there due to a recent bet that had been started by some merchants.

Gillian had already opened nearly half of the Serva Stones Izroth purchased. And, the more Serva Stones he opened, the more excited the crowd became.

"That’s what? Already the 210th treasure they’ve gotten from a Serva Stone?! How is this possible? Are the gods of luck on their side?" One of the spectators exclaimed in awe.
