Chapter 1301: The Auction Ends, A Scramble For Information And Connections

"Eight Heavens, Egoval..!" Vexpela muttered as she exuded killing intent with her fists clenched tightly.

’Eight Heavens? It would appear even back then they were causing trouble.’

Based on Vexpela’s reaction, Izroth knew that whoever this Egoval person was had to be the reason behind the death of Vexpela’s mother.

’If an outside force like the Eight Heavens was involved, it makes sense why someone like Dagraen hesitated to involve himself back then.’

Even if Dagraen did not have the exact details back then, he still had countless decades of experience as a businessman under his belt. Without a doubt, he had his own suspicions. Of course, suspicions meant nothing without proof. And, of course, Dagraen was a businessman to his core.

Vexpela turned to face Izroth and Hyrell. She cupped her hand into her fist and said, "First, allow me to thank both of you for taking my side. And,I would like to also apologize for showing the two of you such a disgraceful side."

"Since I have agreed to be the Supreme Elder of the Fourth Pavilion, naturally, I will side with you. No one can say for certain how they would react under similar circumstances. To call your actions disgraceful is being too harsh on yourself." Izroth stated calmly.

"He’s correct. Under the circumstances, who would dare to find fault with you?" Hyrell commented.

All of a sudden, Lady Kesa’s voice sounded, "The brief intermission has come to an end. The last bid was made by the representative of the Golden Dragon Association. And, after reaching an agreement, the owner of the Transforming Rebirth’s Embrace has decided to accept their offer of 50,000,000 gold coins, the promise of procurement of one item and a Dragon-Level VIP status for the Golden Dragon Association. With that, this auction has officially come to an end. I would like to thank..."

’There weren’t too many items that managed to catch my eye. But, at least I was able to get my hands on the Ore of Dreams and establish a connection to the Kroma family. With that, I’m one step closer to completing the Deadly Plot of Ignorance quest.’

Izroth had sent his approval for the bid the moment Dagraen stepped outside of his private room using the communication magic built into his seat. As for his goals of coming to the auction in the first place, even though it was not completely over yet, it could be said to have been accomplished.

As Lady Kesa gave thanks on behalf of the Golden Treasure House, the guests who participated in the auction quickly began to make their way toward the exit one after the other.

The mysterious Fourth Pavilion Supreme Elder, a new head of the Formation Master Guild, the Kroma family making a move, the appearance of a treasure that could cause a war to erupt—there were too many shocking things that occurred!

"Gather everyone and have them look into the Fourth Pavilion." One of the guests said to one of his people as they walked out of the auction house.

"Get me everything you can on the new Formation Master Head. If they can make the Sage of a Thousand Mazes submit to them, they’re worth making friends with. We have to hurry before the others make their move. First, send a generous donation under our company’s name to the Formation Master Guild to establish a connection..." Another guest conversed.

These conversions took place all throughout the auction house as everyone walked with hastened steps.

Most of them did not know for certain what was going on. However, their instincts all pointed toward there being a big wave ready to sweep throughout Danaharpe soon. And, when that wave came, they wanted to make sure they were not swept away.

Meanwhile, in Izroth’s private room, Vexpela decided to share the contents of the Eye of Insight with Izroth and Hyrell. However, before she started to share, Izroth removed the cloak given to him by Hyrell and revealed his true identity to Vexpela.

After learning of Izroth’s identity, Vexpela could not hide her shock.

Based on his confidence, demeanor and the way he carried himself, Vexpela thought "Sir Sagarus" was some old legendary realm powerhouse. She never would have thought that he would be the same Izroth who stirred up the Apothecary Guild by jumping from a Grade Three to Grade Five in one day.

Of course, that was not the most shocking part. He had defeated a Grade Seven Apothecary in a Right of Challenge and managed to invoke an old tradition, instantly becoming an Honorary Elder of the Apothecary Guild. It was also said that he cured the Holy Maiden of the Order of a Thousand Blossoms—a problem that even a Grade Eight Apothecary could not solve!

In truth, Vexpela was a little disappointed that Izroth was not a legendary realm powerhouse like she thought. However, she was not disappointed in Izroth, but rather herself for allowing her imagination to run too far ahead.

Nevertheless, whether Izroth was some legendary realm powerhouse or not, her gift was still unable to calculate his potential value. Furthermore, in her eyes, Izroth’s identity did not matter at this point. Be it in front of Dagraen or her sibling, Izroth was someone who stood by her side without hesitation. She could never turn her back on such a person.

"So, it’s Supreme Elder Izroth. That still has a nice ring to it. I don’t know why you had to hide your identity, but I’m sure it was for a good reason. But, just so that there are no misunderstandings, I want you to know that I still consider you to be the Supreme Elder of our Fourth Pavilion—that will never change." Vexpela said with a light smile.

"Then, I’ll thank you for your understanding." Izroth said in a carefree manner.

He then continued, "Formation Master Head Hyrell is also my teacher. She has already promised to stand behind the Fourth Pavilion, along with the Formation Master Guild."

"Teacher?" Vexpela had a perplexed look on her face.

From what she knew, Izroth was an Apothecary. Not just any Apothecary, but one that could be considered a one in a century genius. Not to mention, Hyrell was a Formation Master. There were rumors that the Head of the Apothecary Guild, Varuu, and Vice-Head Malric had wanted to take Izroth in as their personal disciple.

"If you are the teacher of my Fourth Pavilion’s Supreme Elder, then my earlier greetings were lacking far too much, Master Hyrell." Vexpela said respectfully as she changed the way she addressed Hyrell.

Under such circumstances, since Hyrell was a skilled Formation Master and Izroth’s teacher, it was customary to add the title of "Master" before her name to show a proper level of respect.

"Well, I am not one who is much for formalities, so do not give it too much thought. Still, I appreciate the sentiment." Hyrell said with a small nod of approval.

"Since the two of you have chosen to place your trust in me, it is only right that I return that same level of trust." Vexpela said as the atmosphere around her turned serious.
