Chapter 1429: Refusal
“The Cultivation Heaven God Domain?”
Yi Tianyun and the others were all stunned. They hadn’t expected the Cultivation Heaven God Domain to show up at a time like this. From the looks of it, this was definitely not good news.
Now that Heavenly God Hao Han had completely fallen out with the Cultivation Heaven God Domain, there was no way their visit carried any good intentions. Yi Tianyun immediately judged that this was very likely related to himself!
They hadn’t come all this time, yet chose to appear now—right after he had ascended. Naturally, suspicion fell on him.
“That’s right. The Cultivation Heaven God Domain has sent people over. Quickly inform Master,” Heavenly Venerable Longming said with a heavy expression.
“Alright. I’ll go find Master right away!” Heavenly Venerable Yue Qian nodded and immediately turned to seek out Heavenly God Hao Han.
Not long after, Heavenly God Hao Han arrived as well, his expression equally grave. Clearly, he also felt that the Cultivation Heaven God Domain’s visit boded ill.
“Let’s go. We’ll take a look,” Heavenly God Hao Han said calmly, without much emotional fluctuation.
Soon after, they headed outside the spatial gate. The moment they emerged, they saw two powerful figures waiting there. Both were Upper Heavenly Venerables, their cultivation terrifying, their auras oppressive.
“Fourth Elder,” the two greeted when they saw Heavenly God Hao Han.
“I’ve already said it—I am no longer your Fourth Elder,” Heavenly God Hao Han replied coldly.
“You may not acknowledge it, but that doesn’t change the fact,” Heavenly Venerable Jie Ming said respectfully. “The Domain Lord still thinks of you greatly. Especially the Domain Empress—she’s constantly worried about you.”
The Domain Empress? That was the Domain Lord’s wife. For even her to be concerned about Heavenly God Hao Han meant their relationship ran deep.
It was extremely likely… that they were mother and son!
That meant Heavenly God Hao Han was actually the Young Lord of the Cultivation Heaven God Domain!
This revelation was utterly shocking, leaving everyone stunned.
Even Heavenly Venerable Jian Si and the others found it hard to believe. For so many years, they had never known the truth. To hear such explosive news now was deeply unsettling.
Thinking about it carefully, it actually made sense. How could a mere elder leave a God Domain so easily? Normally, their cultivation methods would be crippled at the very least.
Leaving a God Domain was practically equivalent to betrayal—yet Heavenly God Hao Han had remained completely unharmed. That alone proved his background was anything but ordinary.
“I know,” Heavenly God Hao Han said indifferently. “But what business brings you here this time?”
“The purpose is simple,” one of the Heavenly Venerables said. “The Domain Lord hopes you will return. Stop messing around outside.”
“Messing around?” Heavenly God Hao Han’s aura suddenly erupted. “After all these years, you still think I’m just messing around! I won’t go back. Tell the Domain Lord this—I will prove that my path is the correct one! And the mistakes they made back then—I will never forgive them!”
The pressure from a Heavenly God burst forth, suffocating the two Upper Heavenly Venerables.
Upper Heavenly Venerables were powerful, but before a Heavenly God, they were nothing more than toys—easily crushed.
Their brows furrowed, yet they didn’t retreat. Gritting their teeth, they continued, “Fourth Elder, we came with a mission this time. Besides asking you to return, there is another key matter—the newly ascended God Domain must be handed over to us for management!”
At last, they revealed their true intention.
They had set their sights on the Three Realms God Domain!
Calling Heavenly God Hao Han back was only one part of it. Taking over the Three Realms God Domain was the real objective.
“Impossible!” Heavenly God Hao Han rejected them coldly. “I knew you had no good intentions. You even want to take over my territory? Don’t even think about it!”
“Fourth Elder, that’s not appropriate,” the other party said, their tone instantly hardening, no longer using respectful language. “No matter what, you are still part of the Cultivation Heaven God Domain. Your forces fall under the Domain’s jurisdiction!”
“Get lost!”
Heavenly God Hao Han roared, sending both of them flying back, blood spilling from their mouths.
A single roar from a Heavenly God caused their blood to churn violently, nearly driving them to collapse. They had almost exploded on the spot from the shock alone.
Forced back, their faces pale, the two still refused to retreat.
“Fourth Elder, don’t forget—who gave you everything you have today! Who ensured your safety all these years!” they shouted. “The Domain Lord can choose to ignore your personal forces, but the newly ascended God Domain must be taken over!”
Yi Tianyun narrowed his eyes. Clearly, they were coveting the resources within.
A resource-rich and well-protected God Domain—how could they possibly let that go?
Once taken over, everyone from inside would undoubtedly be expelled. There was no way they’d be allowed to remain.
Heavenly God Hao Han wanted to prove himself, yet now they intended to forcibly take away the very results of his efforts.
Of course, they still wanted him to return. After all, he was a Heavenly God—an extremely powerful one at that.
“Oh? If you’re capable, then go take it yourselves,” Heavenly God Hao Han sneered. “When have I ever stopped you?”
The barrier was unbreakable. He had nothing to fear.
They froze, then their expressions darkened. “Fourth Elder, you know exactly what you’re saying. That barrier cannot be breached. Yet you can freely enter and exit—it means you hold control! You can let us in so we can take over that God Domain!”
Heavenly God Hao Han waved his hand. A terrifying force swept out, slamming both of them away once more. They spat blood again, suffering light injuries.
“Get lost. Both of you!” he barked. “Take my words back with you. The God Domain will not be handed over. Give up on that idea!”
With a cold snort, Heavenly God Hao Han turned around and led his people back into his own world, ignoring them entirely.
The two Heavenly Venerables could only retreat in humiliation, not daring to push further. Heavenly God Hao Han was simply too strong. In the past, they might have been able to restrain him slightly—but now, resistance was impossible.
“Go back and report to the Domain Lord,” they said, burning with resentment. They wished they could bring people to raze this place to the ground, but that was utterly impossible.
Not only was Heavenly God Hao Han terrifyingly powerful, but his parents were the Domain Lord and Domain Empress. Who would dare to act recklessly?
They could only swallow their anger and leave.
“Master, the Cultivation Heaven God Domain probably won’t give up so easily,” Heavenly Venerable Jian Si said.
“I know,” Heavenly God Hao Han replied with a shake of his head, his eyes firm. “Once they want something, they’ll never let it go—especially such a massive God Domain full of resources.”
“But it doesn’t matter. No matter how many times they come, I’ll drive them away every single time!”
Heavenly God Hao Han was that stubborn. Once he made up his mind, there would be no compromise.
Still, everyone believed that the Cultivation Heaven God Domain would soon return—it was only a matter of what kind of lineup they would bring next.
Sure enough, just a few days later, a powerful figure arrived in person.
A true Heavenly God.
At that level, he stood on equal footing. At the very least, he wouldn’t be blasted away with a casual wave of the hand.
“Fourth Elder. Long time no see.”
The Heavenly God before them wore a cold, austere expression, radiating icy indifference.
“So it’s the Third Elder,” Heavenly God Hao Han said, his expression sinking to its lowest point, his attitude turning even colder. “What business brings you here this time?”
“Simple,” the Third Elder replied. “You come back with me. And hand over control of the new God Domain.”
The outcome had not changed.
They had come for the same reason as before—
to take the Three Realms God Domain.

“Impossible! Third Elder, if that is the purpose of your visit, then please go back!”
Heavenly God Hao Han waved his hand and immediately rejected Heavenly God Leng Yan’s request.
“I knew you wouldn’t agree, but Fourth Elder, do you really think you can keep hiding forever?”
Heavenly God Leng Yan spoke in a deep voice. “Some things must be faced. If you want to prove that you were right, then go back and prove it yourself. There isn’t much time left for you.”
“Don’t forget the oath you made back then!”
Heavenly God Hao Han fell silent, saying nothing.
After delivering his words, Heavenly God Leng Yan turned around and left without clashing with Heavenly God Hao Han.
Yi Tianyun and the others exchanged glances, unsure of what Heavenly God Hao Han intended to do. They understood part of what Heavenly God Leng Yan said, but not the full picture.
“It seems… it’s about time for me to go back,” Heavenly God Hao Han let out a deep sigh.
“Master, what happened?” They were all confused.
“It’s actually about an oath,” Heavenly God Hao Han said. “Back then, I swore that I would cultivate a disciple strong enough to shock them all—proof that my decision was not wrong, but correct.”
“What kind of disciple would that require?”
Heavenly Venerable Jian Si asked in confusion. “Senior Sister isn’t she already qualified?”
“I’m not,” Heavenly Venerable Yue Qian said softly, her gaze dim and somewhat dejected.
“Then what kind of conditions are required?”
They were all stunned. If even Heavenly Venerable Yue Qian wasn’t enough, who could be?
“The requirement is actually very simple,” Heavenly God Hao Han said.
“A disciple I personally cultivate must be able to defeat all the geniuses of the Xiu Heavenly God Domain. Yue Qian is strong, but she’s still lacking a bit.”
“I want to prove that even those with average talent can still achieve greatness! True strength doesn’t rely solely on talent—it also requires effort in all aspects. It’s not some absolute ‘genius-only’ theory!”
“Yue Qian is excellent. Given more time, she might reach the standard. But time is running out… it’s time to make that trip.”
Heavenly God Hao Han sighed, feeling unwilling.
He then explained the situation in general terms. The core of it was simple: a clash of philosophies.
Within the Xiu Heavenly God Domain, those who were not exceptionally talented were deemed unworthy. At best, they could become ordinary disciples—but core disciples had to be top-tier geniuses.
Heavenly God Hao Han argued the opposite:
Even those with average talent could surpass everything through hard work. Diligence could compensate for shortcomings. With enough effort and comprehension, they could still soar. It might be slower, but that didn’t mean there was no chance. These people deserved an opportunity.
It wasn’t that he rejected talented geniuses—having extraordinary talent was, of course, a good thing. But completely denying those with average talent was wrong. Sometimes, perseverance really could create miracles.
Unfortunately, his arguments were completely rejected. No one was willing to accept them. With the same amount of resources, investing in geniuses produced far better results. Investing in average talents yielded mediocre returns—no one wanted to do that.
Rather than betting on so-called miracles, it was better to focus all resources on those with outstanding talent. That path offered greater hope.
Extraordinary talent didn’t guarantee reaching the pinnacle, but it undeniably provided more opportunities than average talent.
For example, many geniuses with astonishing talent still ended up stuck at late-stage God Monarch, unable to break through to Heavenly Venerable. Such cases were common—but Heavenly Venerables did indeed come from this group.
On the other hand, those with average talent rarely produced even a single success. From a cost-benefit perspective, it simply wasn’t worth it.
In the end, Heavenly God Hao Han completely fell out with the Xiu Heavenly God Domain. He left, declaring that he would do it himself and prove that he could cultivate a disciple who surpassed all their geniuses.
The Domain Lord of the Xiu Heavenly God Domain gave him one chance—up to ten thousand years, roughly the duration of one God Domain War.
Now, one God Domain War had already passed. The agreed time was nearly up. The promise had to be fulfilled.
Could he deliver?
At least in his eyes, Heavenly Venerable Yue Qian was still not strong enough. Against even more monstrous geniuses, she still fell slightly short.
“Even so, we’ll have to face it head-on…”
Heavenly God Hao Han wasn’t lacking confidence in Heavenly Venerable Yue Qian—the problem was simply that time was too short.
Founding an independent sect required an extremely long time. Even casting a wide net, it was difficult to recruit many disciples.
The Heavenly Venerable Path was his idea—seeking out cultivators with astonishing perseverance. His only requirement was unwavering determination.
Talent alone was useless. What mattered was perseverance.
Perseverance did not equal talent—but without perseverance, talent meant little.
“Who says there’s no one?”
Heavenly Venerable Jian Si suddenly spoke up.
“Isn’t Junior Brother exactly that person? Junior Brother can absolutely crush anyone at the same realm!”
“Hm?”
Everyone turned to look at Yi Tianyun, including Yi Tianyun himself.
Thinking about it carefully, Yi Tianyun truly could dominate those at the same realm. He had even defeated Heavenly Venerables—let alone God Monarchs. Even against peerless prodigies, he still stood a chance.
“Me?” Yi Tianyun pointed at himself in shock.
“Yes!” Heavenly Venerable Jian Si said excitedly.
“Junior Brother is Master’s disciple, cultivated from the Outer God Domain. The Xiu Heavenly God Domain probably wouldn’t even want cultivators from the Outer God Domain, right? That perfectly aligns with Master’s philosophy! In their eyes, those from the Outer God Domain are worthless, talentless trash. If Junior Brother defeats them, they’ll have nothing left to say!”
The proposal was sharp and clever.
“This… actually makes sense?”
Heavenly God Hao Han’s eyes lit up as he looked at Yi Tianyun.
“Are you willing to help your Master with this?”
“Of course,” Yi Tianyun said with a smile.
He was very interested in a fourth-grade God Domain anyway. It would be a good chance to visit the Xiu Heavenly God Domain and see its overall strength. Since he had nothing better to do, stirring things up there sounded quite appealing.
“Good! Good!”
Heavenly God Hao Han laughed heartily.
“When the time comes, everyone will take the field and fight with everything we’ve got! We’ll prove to them that my disciples are absolutely not inferior! Fundamentally speaking, all of you came from the Outer God Domain—you all meet the conditions.”
He narrowed his eyes.
“But Tianyun is different. With power capable of contending against Heavenly Venerables, defeating God Monarch–level monsters will be no problem at all!”
If Yi Tianyun participated, he would naturally be judged at the God Monarch realm. Sending Heavenly Venerables to fight him would obviously be unfair.
Originally, Heavenly God Hao Han had little hope. But now, hope surged within him once again.
He had always been thinking about bringing Heavenly Venerable Yue Qian back—never realizing that Yi Tianyun was the true key.
